Looks: Several scars on his abdomen, arms and legs represent the desecration of his corpse upon the time of his death. Kuroshiro has a small, ecumenical finger rosary on his right middle finger to remind him of his faith. Also, he has a thin build but not beanpole skinny. A bit of muscle.
Appearance: As a spirit, he has the option to remain invisible to strangers. Often he forgoes this as many of the people that meet him has previous connections. He appears as his self, in the way he looked prior to his death.
Outfit/Style:
 Black solid headband; black, buttoned shirt over a white, buttoned shirt; black jeans; black laceless dress shoes. These are the objects he had on at the time of his death. On his back is his personal katana, Yurokibō. He has a small service pistol at his side to be used only in tense situations.

 The sound of running trains, intelligent conversations, alcohol (in moderation)

Relationships: He has several relationships as an advisor. These are mainly to people in the business of parapsychology (telepaths, clairvoyants, paranormal investigators, etc.) As a psychopomp, he guides any recently deceased spirits to the afterlife. In addition, he offers grief counseling and allows time for incomplete tasks. Anyone who knows him well calls him by his earthly nickname.

History: Born in the Shōwa era to an older family, Heiji Tāro lived a very traditional life amidst a strict Japanese Catholic family. His father was a wealthy businessman who sent Heiji to well-to-do academies. As he grew older, he learned various tricks of life from his friends, allowing him to be well versed in a series of trades. At the age of fifteen, he learned the shocking truth that his father was aiding the Yakuza. Upon learning this, he began to lackluster in life. The transition from the Shōwa era into the Heisei era cemented his furthered cold attitudes. The following year, he faked a university acceptance letter and left home to join a gang. He wanted nothing to do with the Yakuza and the Bou Sou Zoku denied him entry. Instead, he joined a simple teenage gang (whose name he forgot after his death) and gained the nickname “Kuroshiro” for his distinctive black/white personality and morality. At the age of nineteen, his gang was involved with warfare against the Yakuza for control of the Hibaya Train Station. He was captured and tortured for a day and a half before being shot five times. When he died, he was granted absolution for his suffering but was denied entry into heaven for crimes against his family and the citizens of Tokyo. As such, he prepares spirits within the Shinjuku/Hibaya region for judgment. This includes a number of suicides, dead drunks, killed prostitutes, and even some of the victims of the 1995 Tokyo Gas Attack.
