Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade,
To write the love of God above,
Would drain the ocean dry.
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.
...Wow. It's been a really long time since I posted. I'm afraid I've gotten out of the habit after having such a busy year ^^; Well, I'm well into the fall semester of my final year of college now, and things are going really well. I'm adding to my graphic design arsenal with Flash and Maya this year. All I can say about Maya is that I've never seen so many menus squished onto one screen at once O_o I'm getting the hang of it though.
In spite of my lack of posts, I've still been able to visit you guys a lot, so that's been nice. Drawing has been mostly class stuff, but I did get a request to draw Bakura, and I hope to work on that sometime in the near future. I still love drawing Yu-Gi-Oh characters ^_^
Apparently my little kitten is all grown up! I haven't seen him in over a month, but I've heard that he's bigger than our adult cat now (though admittedly she's quite a small cat). I'll be able to go home for fall break in about 3 weeks, and I'm looking forward to some Halloween festivities while I'm there, since there isn't too much to do for Halloween on campus. I'm going to get to see a David Crowder Band concert though - can't wait!
Thanks for visiting ^_^ I hope you're all doing great!
My apologies for yet another long absence on my part. This is definitely my busiest summer yet >.< Our vacation to Florida was wonderful though - a great way to start things off. I started my graphic design internship about 3 weeks ago, and that's going really well. The hard thing is that I'm taking two online classes this summer, and the workload is pretty insane between that and my job.
On a happier note, we got a new kitten! His name is Simon, and he's a real cutie =^_^= He can be a bit of a handful though beause he's really playful and likes to climb up people's legs ^^; Here he is!
Don't be fooled. He isn't always that peaceful. And yet he's still so lovable ^_^
In keeping with the new things, I just posted a new drawing! I know, it's been an eternity since the last one, heh. Check it out if you get a chance. I'm always so happy to get comments on my artwork ^_^ It's actually a self portrait of sorts.
Let's see, lots to talk about! I came home last Friday from college and have been thoroughly enjoying my first week of summer break. Yesterday morning was a bit scary though - I had an interview for a graphic design internship for this summer. Thankfully the tension was broken quickly, because they told me right away that I got the job. It should be a great learning experience for me. The only thing I'm worried about is time, as I'm also taking 2 online classes this summer. I don't think I know what relaxation is anymore ^^;
This week promises to be lots of fun though - tomorrow I'm headed to Florida! My family used to take a vacation there every year, but we haven't for several years now, so it'll be great to go back. It's gonna be hot though. I've never been there this late in the year. We're staying at a beach condo, and we're going to Busch Gardens on one of the days. It'll be nice to have something fun to do before all the work sets in.
My first post in the new world! Well, there’s plenty I could talk about, but I’ll try to keep it brief. I’m home on Easter break at the moment, but I still have plenty of homework to keep me busy. Thankfully, there’s just 5 weeks left before summer break.
I posted some new artwork yesterday, a request for XO. Thanks so much for the comments and hugs! I’m noticing that I really like doing ink drawings, so perhaps when I get some more time I can do more of those ^_^
So, what are your plans for Easter? We had a nice church service this morning, and pretty soon my family’s heading off to gather at my aunt’s house. Should be really fun! I wanted to put this video up for Easter, but I must forewarn you that it’s pretty bloody. Very powerful though.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great Easter!
