Chapter 80

"Would you spend an eternity with the demon who captured you?" Hyaku asked as soon as Sora left the room, leaving us alone.

I found the question surprising and a little silly at the same time. I hadn't expected him to ask, but why would I have turned into a demon if not to be with him? "If I turned into a demon, then I will sure love to spend the rest of my life with you," I smiled.

Koori nodded. "Ya, and I watch for awhile," he teased before crossing the room to stand at the edge of the bed looking over at us. "Hana sent me to see how you were doing. She's gathering some medicine from the garden. She'll probably be in later to check everything."

I nodded. "Thanks, Koori, for everything."

"Hey," he shrugged. "It's nothing."
