Chapter 68

"I guess, but it doesn't hurt to find out, now does it?" Hyaku said as he leaned down and kissed me. He had a mischievous look about him, and I was oddly happy about it.

Unfortunately the moment was interrupted by a demon, who I thought was named Sora, "my lord, kiana needs to rest, or so hana said," she said looking down. She looked rather uncomfortable at having int interrupted the two of us.

Hyaku groaned as he stood up, "Maybe later," he said as he left the room, casting me a smile before disappearing down the hall.

I sighed happily as I situated myself more comfortably in the bed. "My lady, are you two... you know... together?" she asked me, turning a bright red from embarrassment.

I grinned. "You could say that, yes," I nodded. We weren't official since neither of us had talked about it, but if we weren't together, what would you call our relationship?

"You both seem to be much happier people now that you're together," Sora commented, her face returning to its normal silky white color.

"Thanks. I feel a lot happier since I've been here," I admitted. I rolled over onto my side and grabbed the medicine Sora had put on the table.

As Sora handed me a glass of water, she watched me take the pills. "You should sleep, Miss." She took the empty glass and headed for the door before stopping and saying, "You two are cute together." Finally, she disappeared back down the hall.

I smiled at that. We were cute together? That was good to hear. As I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, I thought of Hyaku and all we had been through. My dreams that night were of Hyaku's and my future together. We were leading happy go lucky lives with kids of our own. There wasn't a care in the world as the sun shone down on us.
