Hello all and welcome to The Doll World. This is where I am writing a story about 5 people (and a cat) who have had drastic changes in their lives; Kyle, Celina, Shade, Elaina, and Elva. (I will try as soon as I can to post why Kyle and Elaina are there!) After they are about to make their final decisions they turn into Dolls, and are sent into another world. But not all are good; there are also other people who got sent here, such as their main rival the Other Mother. There are others but they have not been introduced yet (which means I am still thinking of new characters and ways to draw them and such). Please read and enjoy!
And plus I did not base this story any part off of the movie coraline. I made a story after I read M is for Magic, thought about making it a big story then after I read Coraline added the Other Mother. No way did I have any idea the movie was gonna be with dolls because I am not phsychic. Thankyou.

Metal Spyders Here and There...

Celina wacked another metal Spyder with her racket. It was a few days after Shade had expected something to happen, and tons of the Other Mother's metal Spyders had shown up all over town, attacking people and taking them back to her. "Stupid ugly spider woman..." Celina muttered, wacking two into Kyle. "Hey!" He yelled and slammed them down with his skateboard. He glared at her and ran away to help Elaina who had them all over her. She blasted most of them away with one of her dark orbs and Kyle hit away the rest. Shade was cutting away most of them with his sword, leaving little peices of twitching metal everywhere. They were in one of the bigger neighborhoods of the town. They had already cleansed two other neighborhoods and were heading for town.
"Almost there! Come on!" Shade yelled, cutting up the rest of them then running down the street towards town. The rest of them followed, finishing off the rest as they ran. They got into the town and found chaos. The metal Spyders were everywhere and attacking people left and right. They all ran in and started to slash at the Spyders, cutting them off of people who then ran away. Pretty soon they had set all of the people free but there were still tons of Spyders everywhere. They were advancing towards Shade and them, seeing as they were the only human looking things around. Shade slashed through them all while Elaina blasted her way through.
By the time they had clensed the whole town it was almost midnight.
"Goooooooood I'm tiiiiiiredddddd!" Kyle moaned, flopping down on some grass just outside of town. "I don't think God cares, stupid, if there is one." Elva muttered, tired and in a bad mood to match. Elaina stood staring off into the distance, lost in another world. Celina was freaking out over her dress, which had gotten ripped in several places. Shade stared at all of them, wondering how they were all going to get back without killing eachother. "Er, I'll be right back..." He muttered and walked towards a near hotel. He walked into the lobby, where a man wearing a black suit was standing at the check in place. Shade walked up to the desk. "How much is it for 2 rooms?" He asked. "Forty-six dollars." The man said. Shade checked his wallet, finding only thirty-two dollars. "Excuse me," He said and ran out back to the rest of them. By now Celina and Elva were yelling at eachother and Kyle was poking at Elaina. Elaina looked at Shade with a bored expression, but he knew that she was ready to punch in Kyle's face. "Ok, who has money?" Shade asked loudly. Kyle stopped poking Elaina and fihed around in his pockets. Celina pulled out a 5 from a small hole in her leg while Elva pulled 4 very crumpled up ones from her skirt pocket. Elaina watched everyone with no interst, for she had no pockets. "Ah-ha!" Kyle said triumphantly, bringing out twelve dollars. 'Good, thats more than enough. Come on," Shade said, walking towards the hotel. Everyone followed, Celina in the front and elva in the back, them being seperated by Elaina who was tired of the yelling. Kyle was now running inside, excited about staying in a hotel. Shade took the money needed to pay adn they got their keys to the room. "We're on the 4th floor!" Celina said, catching Kyles excitement. "We're on the third floor..." Kyle said, sad now that the girls were on a higher floor. They all rode up the elevator to their floors and got into their rooms. There was only two beds in each, so one of the girls had to sleep on the floor. "Elva you can sleep on the floor since you like to be away from everyone." Celina said sitting down on one of the beds. "Me sleep on the floor!? How about you Miss Priss!" Elva yelled back. "Stop calling me that you stupid..." And it carried on as Elaina got a pillow from each bed, found an extra blanket in the closet, and lay down on the floor by the window. For the boys it was much easier. Kyle got the one next to the bathroom (for obvious reasons) and Shade opened the window, flew around and sat on the roof.

Daily lives Part 2

Elaina sat in the forest under a tree, watching the clouds float by. She didn't do much except this very thing. Either she was out here just looking at stuff or in her room looking out the window. She got bored with watching the clouds and switched her view to the trees. "Much more interesting..." She thought. On the tree she was looking at was a squirrel. It was running up and down one of the branches, chittering loudly. The squirrel was starting to make her bored also, so she looked at another tree and settled herself to think and wander away into her own world. 2 hours later she broke out her trance as the squirrel jumped onto a branch on the tree she was looking at and started to do the exact same thing. She stared thoughtfully at the squirrel for a while, deciding whether or not to throw rocks at it because it probably bisturbed her on purpose, which it really did. It was late afternoon, the sun setting in brilliant golden colors. "Of course, its not setting, the earth is just rotating from the direct light from the sun, which is really a star, here to another part of the world." She reminded herself. "Unless it doesn't work like that in this world..." She thought again, while the conversation continued, with her thoughts finally deciding to look something up on the internet abut this place. Then she got up and walked back to the house, preparing herself for what trouble they had caused now, for she could here police sirens in town.

Shade sat on the roof, staring at the stars. The roof was his room since he didn't need to sleep (and NO he does NOT sparkle in sunlight!!!) and because he didn't like tight spaces. Also because he loved being able to fly around in the dark, open air. It wasn't quite a full moon yet, but close. He sighed. He could see some of the other houses, still covered in toilet paper. Shade was glad he didn't have to sleep, otherwise he would always miss this, the cool night air blowing, the moon shining down, making everything silver. He couldn't understand why those humans could stand missing this. Or Dolls. "Whatever." He thought. "Something bad might happen soon....its been too...peaceful..." He jumped up into the night air and snapped out his wings. He skimmed low over the trees, enjoying the exhileration of flying. He flew silently over the houses, looking for some sign of trouble. Seeing nothing, he flew back to the house. He landed silently and got out a book from uder the bed they had brought up here for him. He only used it to rest and to sit down, but it was very usefull to hide stuff. He started to read, getting caught up in the story, while the stars winked on and off, and the moon hung in the lit up sky.

Daily lives part 1

Celina sat in her room, carefully stitching together a new light green dress. It was early morning, because she always woke up early everyday. She just couldn't seem to sleep in because she had gotten up at this time for so long. It was still dark, but it starting to get barely lighter. Twilight posters hung all around her room, and all the books were placed neatly in order, a bookmark in the last one. She was reading the series for what seemed the 30th time. The movie was secured neatly in its case on the DVD player. The whole series was just very intersting to her, so after she watched the movie, she read the book again to see all that wasn't in it, then bought the movie and paused at parts with the book open on her lap to the part that wasn't in there and would scream; "THAT PART WASN'T IN IT!!!!!! WHY DID THEY LEAVE OUT THAT PART????" On these days, everybody left the house to walk around the city.
But thankfully, today wasn't what they had started to call, "Twilight Tuesday" because thats when it occured. From as soon as the sun came up, and on throughout the night it would last, so everybodies camping and outdoor skills were put to well use.
She held up the dress, turning it round carefully to see if there were any lose strings or if she had accidently added the wrong color. She looked over it carefully, then smiled and started to get the color blue to make little flowers that were to twirl around the dress on a dark green vine. The truth is, when Kyle had trashed her room looking for his notebook, he didn't do much damage. Everything was strewn everywhere; paper, pencils, sketches for clothes, sheets of cloth, and little needles that had been scattered everywhere when Elva had stormed in in a rage wondering where her knife was. She had suspected Celina because she was always threatening to take away the knife and throw it away. But Kyle had tooken it of course, and stood at the doorway until Celina noticed him, then seized her racket and started hitting him with it while Elva punched his face in. Kyle laughed hystarically the whole time, then stole Celina's racket and threw it into the lake. She had to go get it, but he had already packed his stuff and had camped out in the woods for a week before he thought it safe to come back.
And also what was everywhere; string. Mountains and mountains of string. All different colors too, strewn everywhere while she searched through it all to find one color. She finally found the blue, then sat down and started stitching in the flowers. As she sewed, she thought about if when she would go home. Sure this place was nice, and she had all the string she needed, but she missed her parents. Yeah, she did want to run away, but not to another world. "But not yet," she thought, "I have to come up with a plan to get my problem solved first." And with that note she finished a flower and moved on to another one.

Kyle's room was much different. except for the messy part, but instead of string and such, just video games, food, and clothes. The curtains were drawn and the lights off, except for the TV, where he was playing Dead Rising. He was completely oblivious to everything, with music cranked up full blast in the bakground. Thats why he didn't hear knocking at his door, or notice as it opened and Elva walked in looking bored. "Yo, Kyle." She said poking him in the back. "J-just wait....One more person...." Kyle mumbled. Elva glared at him and turned on the lights. Kyle yelled out to turn it off while takig out at least 20 zombies. Elva paid him no mind and pulled the plug to the TV. He stared at the screen in astonishement as it zoooooom sound and the screen went blank. Only the loud bet of the bass in the music could be heard in the silence. "Little miss priss is getting tired of the music, and thinks that you should actually get outside for once." She said over the music. Leaning on the TV and thumbing her knife handle she went on; "And she wants me out too. Something about a depression or whatever." Then she held up some toilet paper. "Figured we might as well make our time useful." Kyle wasn't fully over his game, but smiled a the toilet paper. "Nah, I got better" He said getting up and grabbing some water balloons out from under his bed. At this Elva smiled too. "Got an extra skateboard?" She asked. "Yeah," He said throwing one to her. Then he got a bag out from under his bed full of water balloons, picked up his skateboard, and they both ran outside and skateboarded into the neighborhoods.

As you can see, thats mostly what Elva does, but otherwise most of the time she listens to depressing music and cuts herself, laying on her bed staring up at the ceiling. Then goes on the internet and blogs about herself and how much her life sucks. And cleaning her knife. And whenever Celina was out of her room, sitting next to her and annoying her by stabbing herself in different places. Which Kyle gets lots of laughs out of.

Elva's coming

The moon was bright and filled every place where a shadow was. Shade and Elaina sat under the full of it on a hill. She didn't seem to smile that much any more. Just a blank look as she stared off into space. Just as well, the smile creeped him out and made his skin crawl, or it would have if it were really skin. but it still made hime shiver all the same. And it still worried him.
Right now they sat side by side staring at the land around them bathed in silvery grey moonlight. Not a sound could be heard, or would it dare to break the silence. Nothing stirred either, as everything seemed to be waiting for everything else to make a move. Shade sighed and everything broke loose as the sounds of the night blasted through the silence and peace was regained. Elaina looked at him and asked, "Why must this world do that. Everything and everyone seems to fear the Dolls, when we have done nothing wrong." She had came 2 days after Shade had gotten there and still asked more questons than he did. He sighed again and said, for about the hundredth time, "Because we are diffrent, and people in this world have always lived with different, and they handle it with fear. Including everything else." He went back to staring at the moon, as if it were to fall down on him and he would smash it to peices. Elaina blinked and stared at the city below them. Why make it difficult for us? she thought. We are the same except with seams and... well....a lot of things. But besides our looks...- The thought was interrupted by a sudden burst of light in her head and she fainted. Shade looked down and mumbeled, "Oh no, not again." He sat her up and tried to get her to wake up. Then somewhere in the city a flash of light was scattered throughout the town and faded to one spot. Shade stared at the light until it faded to the east side of town. He stood up and picked her up. Then his wings grew to a larger size and unfolded. He jumped up and took off towards the east side of the town, muttering to himself "I don't understand how this always happens." He landed where the light had seemed to end. Looking around he set Elaina down then wondered through the alleys. In the back of the second one he heard someone get up. He went to the end and saw a yound girl about 13 with black hair and a black shirt wearing a skirt that went down to her knees. "Another one." He thought outloud. She looked at him for a while then stared at the knife in her hand. In a flat vice she asked "Am i dead." Shade was confused. Usually people would freak out and ask why they were here and why they looked like this. "No. But your'e a doll." he said slowly. "Ah." was all she replied. "Um, so, whats your name...?" Shade said hesitantly. She looked him in the eye and scowled. "Elva. Whats your's?" "Shade. Nice to meet you." He said, trying to choke the words out. Back to bussiness. He thought to himself. "Let me see your orb." He said. Elva got a puzzled look on her face then held out her hand. An orb started to form there and he watched it patiently. Once the orb was formed, black started to swirl through it. Shade widened his eyes in surprisse, because he had never seen a dark ball before. Then all of a sudden, as if it changed its mind, the black smoke seemed to turn into little black curls, as light grey smoke started to fill up the rest. He sighed then picked it up to examine it. The light grey smoke got darker and lighter every 20 seconds. Handing it back to her he said quietly, "Well thats different." After Elva took it she seemed to listen to something else but then got back to scowling at him. He turned and walked out of the alley and back into the one where he had left Elaina. She was standing in the middle waiting for him. Except she was looking at something behind him. He turned to look and saw Elva standing there with her arms crossed. "You can't just leave me here. where do i go." she said sharply. He sighed and said "Fine, you can come with us." His wings unfolded and they grew larger again. Elva stared in amazement. Elaina walked to his side and grabbed onto one of his arms. Elva hesitantly grabbed onto the other one and he took off.
10 minutes later he landed by an old house deep in the woods. When Elva let go she stumbled around for a while then leaned on a tree until she could walk again. AS Shade and Elaina walked towards the house Elva quietly followed behind. When they got inside yelling could be heard from the other room. When they walked in there was a girl with orange and black hair wearing short blue dress. She was hitting an older boy with a racket. He had brown hair and wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. The older boy screamed at her, "GET OFF! I WASN'T IN YOUR ROOM!" At this the girl hit him even harder. "Then why is my stuff everywhere and muddy footprints from the window to your room!" She yelled above his screams of protest. As she raised the racketto hit him again Elaina was suddenly in front of her. They locked eyes for a moment, then the girl looked away and mumbled, "Well they did." "Celina, you know only to get the racket out if someone enters the house that you don't know." Shade said. The girl Celina glared at him. "Well this was a crisis for me. Kyle trashed my room!" "I was looking for my book that you said you'd give back yesterday! But i got it back so don't worry." Kyle said calmly. Celina growled and jumped towards him but Elaina grabbed her and made her sit down. Shade looked around at the group and sighed again. He sighed a lot. There group consisted of Shade; a good vampire, Elaina; a girl without an orb or any memory about what happened before she came here, Celina; a used-to-be brat with an anger problem, Kyle; a calm guy who was addicted to sarcasm, and now Elva. Well, there was also a cat that was a doll too, and no one knew how that one happened, but it's name was Mello. It sat on the steps watching them now. It creeped everyone out except Elaina, because it seemed to now what you were going to do next. And all it did was dissapear and reapear in odd places just to watch you.
Shade stepped out of the way to show Elva. "Everybody, this is Elva. Elva, this is Celina," He pointed to them as he named them off. "Elaina, Kyle, and im Shade." He spied the cat on the steps. "And the cat is Mello." She looked around at all of them then asked, "Can we Dolls die?" Shade seemed confused by the question and didn't know the answer, so Elaina said, "Yes. But only under certain circumstances." "Ok. So can we die by getting stabbed?" "No." "Good." She said, then stabbed herself in the stomach. Celina groaned and yelled, "You better know how to sew, or learn how to, 'cus i am not going to sew that back up. She did it on purpose." Elva pulled out the knife and blood oozed from the wound. Everybody watched with different looks on their face. Elaina had the same blank look but witha touch of amusement as the bloodspread out and stained her shirt, Shade was watching the blade move as she wiped it off on her skirt, Celina looked as if she was about to hurl, and Kyle had a giant grin on his face. Elaina broke he silence and said, "So Elva, why are you here." Elva paused and stuck the knife back in her stomach. Celina couldn't take it and ran outside. "Um..." She thought for a while thumbing the knife holder. Finally she said "i guess its because of my guy friends. I've known them since 1st grade so i started dating one but then i figured out he was cheating on me. So i got a new group of friends or the "Emo group" and started to wear black a lot. But then one day i was going to stab myself and then white mist...after that all i can remember is being in the alleyway and you." She motioned towards Shade. Just then Celina came back in, looking very green, and sat back down on the couch. Shade nodded his head. thats how it was for everybody; a life altering choice, white mist, and then...alleyways. Everyone was quiet for a while, then Elaina stood up and said, "I'll show you to your room. Its about time everyone went to bed." She walked up the stairs and Elva followed. Shade stood up and said she was right, and then everyone got up and went to their rooms.
After all the lights were out and no sound accured except Kyles light snoring and the sounds of things out side Elaina walked quietly down the stairs. She sat beside the cat and started to pet it. It hadn't moved the entire time. " Maybe one day i can tell them. But not today." Mello looked up at her with the same blank look as her. She seemed to want to tell her something, but, unfortunately, she was a cat. So they went on staring into eachothers eyes, trying to figure out what each was trying to tell the other, until Elaina smiled. "Don't worry. I'll be waiting." And she stood up and walked back to her room. Mello watched her go. Then the cat seemed to fade out and dissapear, as if she never even existed in the first place.

Just The Beginning

NOTE!:I AM A GIRL! IN THIS STORY I AM PLAYING AS A BOY!!! AND ALSO: NONE OF THIS STORY IS TRUE! EXCEPT FOR THE TUNNEL, THE ROAD TO NOWHERE AND THE GRAFFITI! PLEASE REMEMBER THIS!!!! AND I AM NOT 15!!!!!!!!!
Just The Beginning

I was 15 the first time i went to the tunnel of the Road To Nowhere. I had heard stories about the highschool boys who went there and hung out in the shadows until middle schoolers came then jumped them and scared them away or beat them up. They once did it to a group of highschool girls who wanted revenge afterwards. The girls had planned to tie a girl to a rope then make a hole in the top of the tunnel and hang her down to scare the guys when they went through. But one of the guys had gotten up on top behind the girl holding the rope and scared her, so she let go. The one that was tied to the rope ended up with 4 broken ribs, a broken leg, and got knocked out in the process. Afterwards, the girls made a vow never to go there anymore. But the guys still go, out of boredom and nothing else to do.
But i had chosen a day when i knew they wouldn't be there. It was one of the coldest days in December, where it looked and felt like snow but all you got was cold wind and frost. I had walked up to the tunnel alone, because we only lived five miles away at the time. I had light brown hair with green eyes, and I was part of the "uncool" group at school so girls didn't like me much. Well, except for Katherine Stone, but thats a different story.
I walked up to the entrance of the tunnel. The end was pretty far away, but i wasn't worried about the end. I was worried about what was between the beggining and the end. Because, of course, there were other stories too. Like, about how a girl lived in there who could walk on the walls and the ceiling. Or how she could break into millions of tiny peices to make a mist around you so you couldn't see. And they said that she'd drop down on people and ask them to play a game. Everyone who had claimed to meet her said no, except one man. But after he said yes, he blanked out and woke up hours later on his back at the front of the tunnel with a penny in his hand. He couldn't remember anything that had conspired between the time he said yes and when he woke up, which made all the parents start to worry about their kids' safety and stuff. But the cops soon found an excuse about the man's drinking problem, so that got everyone settled down about that matter, and got them fired up on drunkeys and where they'd end up next.
I had never beleived in those stories, so why start now? I thought. But still, there seemeed to be something sinister about it, with an ever sensing essence of doom that was just a few steps away. A never ending wind blew through the tunnel, sharp and cold. Only about 5 feet in did the darkness fully swallow you up where only a faint light could barely struggle through. I stood rigid with fear at the very thought of that girl in there, with razor sharp fangs and was cold as ice. But I shook it off and told my self that she didn't exist. I looked at the visible sides of the tunnel. The bottom's lined with graffiti, maybe in the middle too, if you could see. Nobody could because in there, you could only see a foot in front of you.
I took a step in and was greeted by a burst of cold wind that went straight through the two layers of jackets I had on. I shivered and trudged on. With each step I took it grew darker and colder until I could only see my feet and the end of the tunnel. It grew windier too. The end was closer, so I could see i had gotten pretty far, but there was still a ways to go. My ears were starting to go numb and my eyes were watering because of the cold, constant wind. I kept glancing in the dark shadows around me, looking for movement of any sort. But since my eyes were watering, everything moved. It looked as if the darkness was swirling around, waiting for the perfect moment to reach out and drag me in. My heart beat faster and I walked at a faster pace. And thats when all of my childhood nightmares came back at once, like the thing in the closet, or under the bed. Or my fear about, in the dark in the woods people would hide and if you went out there they'd snatch you up and take you away to do who nows what. And then I remembered a long lost memory, the ones you try so hard to forget and store in the back of your memory. I remembered all the horror stories about The Cellars, were you went after you died and if you were bad in your life. About how the gaurds were big muscular guys, covered in blood and wearing helmets so you couldn't see their expression. They'd drag you down to The Cellars without a care how much you pleaded and made promises to do this and that if they let you go. Then how they would lock you in there to rot and go crazy talking to yourself until 100 years had passed, and then they took you out and then they "took care" of you in many ways. Thats when something snapped in me and I broke out into a run, as fast as I could without stopping, only to get away from that place, to try and leave that memory behind. I watched the end the whole time, hoping it would get closer, but it only seemed to get farther and farther away. But then I tripped over a loose stone and I started rolling, cutting my face and hands. I finally came to a stop and lay there panting. Blood started to get on my jacket and the cuts on my face started to stream down my cheeks. I wiped it away and stood up. It was even colder now, and I just couldn't put my finger on what was different. I had this creepy feeling start to crawl over my arms when i noticed what it was. There was no wind. Not a breath of it. I looked at the end and saw that I was a good ways away. I looked at the beggining. They looked the same distance away, which could only mean I was in the middle. I gulped and turned back facing the end. But all the sudden I got the feeling that somebody, or something, was here with me. I tried to look into the black sides around me but didn't succeed. I looked behind me and, just in case, at the ceiling. I turned back facing forward. At this point a chill started to creep across my body at a fast pace. Just in case I quietly turned around to look behind me again. But halfway in turn i stopped. My eyes widened and I slowly, if not mechanically, turned back around. Out of the dark right in front of me, slowly, a little too slowly, a girl, upside down came into view and stopped to where i could only see her face to her stomach. Her face was right in front of mine and it seemed she was standing on the ceiling. Her arms were crossed and her hair didn't hang down but stayed in place. Before I could get a good look at her she dissapeared. I looked around me to see where she had gone. And then all the sudden she was in front of me about five feet away. I jumped back in surprise. She was wearing a purple dress that went down to her knees with black sneakers. Her hair was a dark brown and she had pointed ears with pale white skin. It took me a while to learn how to breath after I looked at her eyes. Where the iris should hav been it was only black that matched with the pupil so it was one big black hole that seemed to suck you in. She was staring blankly at me with those pitch black eyes. And then she cocked her head and she asked in voice as thin and fine as a snowflake but with a sense that it could bring avalanches, "You are...alone?" With wide scared eyes I nodded yes. After I did she smiled. In one second I noticed; my eyes got bigger, if possible, my brain was shutting down and erasing each logical thought I had left, my heart seemed to stop beating and was waiting to see when I would breath again, and my legs went numb. Where regular, ordinary teeath should have been, there were rows of long, sharp, pointy ones, perfectly straight, and looked sharp enough to peirce the skin at touch.
Then she twisted around and darted into the shadows in a flash. I stood still and was about to make a run for it when I heard behind me,"Would you like to play a game?" I turned around quickly and saw her standing there staring at me and holding a penny in her right hand. The color drained from me and I would have lost all the power to my legs and fell down if i could feel them in the first place. I uttered a quick and quiet no. Her eyes flashed and I bit my lip in fear. "Why not?" she asked calmly. "I, um, I have to go, uh, home." I stuttered out. "T-they're, um, expecting me." I finished lamely. She stared at me for a while then nodded her head and said in a nothing but a mocking tone, "Yes, I suppose thats important. Or perhaps its an excuse." My heartbeat quickened. "Please, its important that I get there quickly." "If so important, then why leave?" she inquired. This stopped me. Why had I come? I thought to myself. Just like the other guys; out of boredom with nothing else to do. I answered in my head. I coudn't think of anything so I bit my lip again and just stared at her. She just stared back then looked at the walls and said "I see. Personal matters" I tried not to look releived. But then she snapped her head back to look at me and smiled wickedly, which made my heart forget how to beat, even if i was still breathing. And she said, "But, don't tell me you are-" And then she seemed to break up and dissapear, and all the peices started to swirl around me which made it look like snow. It went faster and faster until it blocked all veiw besides the white, then all of a sudden it all turned black, and I heard a whisper in my ear, although no one was there, "afraid?" That single word was only a whisper but it seemed to echo through the tunnel, to the mountains, and all atound the world, but it was so loud only i could hear it, as laughter, terrible laughter, filled the air and matched with my pulse and ran through out my veins, all through my body, until it froze them all up and they turned to ice and shattered. And the next moment I knew I was falling; falling to nowhere, falling into the darkness, falling, alone and cold. But then i stopped. I blinked my eyes and saw the ground about an inch from my face. I looked over my shoulder and saw that she had grabbed the collar of my jacket. She pulled me the rest of the way up and i stood there panting. I had broken out into a cold sweat also. As I tried to regulate my breathing she said quietly, "You are...different" I looked at her for an explanation, but she only held out her hand with the penny in it. "Are you sure?" She asked. I glanced at the penny and looked back at her. "I will," I said pausing, "if you tell me one thing." she nodded. "Your name." She widened her eyes in surprise then resumed her blank expression. "Elaina. my name is Elaina. And who might you be?" she asked back. "Kyle." I answered and took the penny. Pure wicked joyment shone in her eyes and she smiled wide. Then it all went black.
I woke up at the beggining of the tunnel on my back. It was dark and had gotten colder. I lay there for a while then sat up and looked at my hands. In my left hand lay a rusty old penny, you couldnt see the date but could tell it was really old. At that instant a flash of light zipped through my memory and everything came back. I stood up and stared at the ceiling of the tunnel. "I remember." I said in a loud voice. Something stirred up in there and a voice whispered, "Those who remember never forget." And then something dropped down from the ceiling. I walked in and picked it up. It was a regular sized doll with dark brown hair and two black ovals for eyes that seemed to suck you in. And it was wearing a purple dress that went down to the knee and little black shoes. It was smiling widely, with sharp pointed teeth. There was no seme were they would have sewn it together, and it didn't feel stuffed. It was ice cold to the touch also. I put it in my pocket then went back home.
