10. TheOtaku Article/Fan Word writer and probably the last King of Humor Articles. (Who's gonna be the King of Humor Fan Words?)
P.S. Trust me when I say that this is not even a summary of the whole me.
Last Tuesday, I performed in a voice acting presentation of the Anton Chekhov play "The Boor" for our Literature class. I played Smirnov (the wild man). Quite fun actually, especially since I have full rights to go wild and the several humorous mispronunciation of words.
Last Thursday in Literature class, we watched the '90s film Heart and Souls starring Robert Downey, Jr. Very nice story; truly a film to watch. Sometimes though, I wished we watched the anime flick Princess Mononoke instead (which, take note, the other Literature class were assigned to watch).
My fancomic series, "Collective Moments", has finally concluded. I know that the art and story isn't really very good, but it's my first fan comics so I'm still proud of it. Anyway, if you're interested to read, click here.
Could someone explain to me how, in just six months, my site has had over 8000 views already? This is more than the views my myOtaku site has received in its 4 years of activity. Exactly who is visiting this site that the number of views seems to be at less than a hundred per day? Really, I'm curious.
I'm shocked that my latest fan word How Anime Made Me A Psych Student, is doing very well in terms of praises. I'm actually shocked it even became a Fan Word 'coz it wasn't approved at the time I thought the fan word was set to be approved. Anyway, thanks guys and even though it wasn't really my intention to actually help you guys in your career choices through this writeup, I'm glad it was helpful to you.
Man, oh man. So many Fan Words that I'm wanting to write. Hopefully, I can accomplish this soon because it would pain to not make these ideas be shared to the world.
That's all for today. HAVE A NICE DAY!
EDIT: Oh yeah, Shahllen responded to me regarding the Friendster message I sent him concerning his theOtaku behavior. I was hoping for some explanation or sort, but instead he gave me his contact details "if ever I want to talk to him". Well, it's better than being lashed with swear words. Honestly, I think this kid might actually be a nice guy; the problem though is that I think he still has a lot to learn.
- In case you missed it, "Barbecue Sauce!" is now available for reading via Fan Words. Right now, I feel that it is destined to become my lowest-rating fanword ever in theOtaku --- which is a bit ironic, when you consider the fact that this was one of my highest-rating piece back when it was called theOtaku Articles.
- Almost five years have passed and theOtaku has truly underwent changes. That, I think, is the reason behind the bad rating of my new fanword. The characters used were, in a way, pretty old in style already. Plus, the fact that it wasn't featured in the way it was featured years ago added to its low rating. But at least the article can finally be Googled by people, and be available to read for generations to come.
- I'll be submitting my old Articles in theOtaku this month, including the Top Ten lists. Mainly because I want to make sure people can still have access to the things I've written back when I was still so young and --- uhh, crazy. Hugs and favorites are just secondary.
- First off, I'd like to apologize if I acted like Dr. House and got a bit cranky back in my previous post. I guess I just wasn't used to the idea of getting one comment for my article within 48 hours. Normally, it's more than that. Still, I apologize. Anyway, if you are interested in reading my article on Death Note songs composed using Beatles hits, please click here.
- I just realized that when I go to my portfolio, my account suddenly logs out. When that happens, no one can subscribe to you, just like what I experienced with Erzengel Weiss' portfolio. Could this be the reason why I can't have new subscribers? Will this problem be fixed by the Bossman? And will Speed Racer finally find out who Racer X really is? ( I just had to put that!)
- So Ron Paul lost in the Pensylvania primaries. Quite sad on my part, since I was really hoping for a win. But the plus side is that he got almost 16% of the vote. Which means . . . if McCain thinks he's got the support of every Republican, he should think again. And trust me, the most dedicated Ron Paul supporters will never support McCain. Why? Because MCCAIN IS SUPPORTING THE IRAQ WAR; RON PAUL DOESN'T! Which leads me to this question: Is groupthink more important than principle?
- I just found out the other day that jomz had made a myOtaku memoir back in 2006, when I was busy with my own memoir, Three Freaking Years. (And I doubt you guys even know about it!). On that memoir, he said that I was his "best Otaku buddy" and that I was the one who got him into the posting habit. You know, for a guy who's 5 years younger than him, that kinda surprised me in a good way. I was quite...well, quite happy. I can't believe my Big Brother in myOtaku (and theOtaku) said that about me. So, thanks jomz! And I hope this friendship will last for a long time. (Here's the link to the memoir.)
- To end this post, here's a video of the song "Precious and Few" by the Climax. It's a '70s song that caught my attention recently. I suggest that you try listening to this song; maybe you were familiar with this (I knew I was before I knew the title.)
