1. Well, the university intramurals are over. Back to tons of schoolwork. Oh boy.
2. Didn't get as much rest as I would've wanted due to my practicum work. I could have opted to be absent instead, but reported for work anyway to add more hours in my time record, among other reasons.
3. Our leadership and team-building seminar was okay. I think I could have done better though, if I had prepared better.
4. Heh...how odd that I come back to regular school life on the first day of September.
5. So the DPJ really won the elections in Japan. Well, the Japanese people have spoken. Hope it turns out for the better for them.
6. At this point, I still stand 5 foot 3 inches. I would've wanted to be 5'9" like Shinichi Kudo, but I'm just happy that I share the same height as our national hero, Jose Rizal.
7. When you feel damn frustrated and feel damn pressured, try listening to Michael Jackson's "Scream". Really gives you a sort of scream therapy.
8. Here's the problem of studying for sexual disorders in abnormal psychology: You're forced to watch pictures of naked people with their private parts exposed. I hope this won't make me have a sexual disorder myself.
9. I don't never ever had a girlfriend, and I don't really care that much. Some see that as a problem, though. They're suggesting that I find one instead of spending time listening and moonwalking to Michael Jackson songs.
10. Guess it's time to go. See you around October, I guess.

TODAY'S SPECIAL
Here's a little video to leave you by before I go. This is Michael Jackson performing "History" live in Manila in 1996. Remember when I said that I liked that particular song of his? This video was the one that introduced me to that song. Really nice message in the song, I gotta say.
1. Like I said before, here's another post. Top 10 style, since I only have a few words today.
2. Got a new laptop (Compaq Presario, if you must know). Great news, especially for our thesis. If it weren't for the thesis, I wouldn't even ask for a laptop.
3. Still prefer Windows XP over Vista. Vista is like an extremely new virgin forest that you still need to explore, and that ain't good when it comes to doing schoolwork.
4. Other reason why I prefer XP: Appears to be less Internet-dependent, especially with the thesaurus in Microsoft Word.
5. Yes, guys. I'm still a Detective Conan geek. And I still have my three (yes, three) Detective Conan Happy Meal toys.
6. Conducting a leadership and teambuilding seminar for freshmen students of our Architecture department this Saturday and Sunday. It's part of my practicum training.
7. By the way, I'm having my practicum training at the Guidance Center of the College of Architecture and Fine Arts in my university.
8. I like Michael Jackson's song "History". Partly because I'm a history geek.
9. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't go to parties often. I don't get myself pierced. My brother says my life is boring. For me, it's exactly how I want it to be.
10. Keeping a watchful eye on the developments of the parliamentary elections in Japan. If you've read my news nuggets, this election can have a significant impact in the anime and manga industry, as well as the otaku community.
Because I'm Back, I'm Back, come on
You know I'm Back, I'm Back, you know it
You know I'm Back, I'm Back
Come on, you know
And the world has to answer right just to tell you once again
Who's Back
Hello everyone. Like the Michael Jackson-inspired intro?
As I've mentioned in previous weeks, I'm gonna give an official update on my life. Well, college life has indeed been full of pressure. Guidance internship here, thesis work there, and not to mention history of psychology and abnormal psychology. There's 3 more subjects I haven't mentioned, but they're manageable. Not sure if I should elaborate on the happenings of the past, though, because I'd like to focus a bit more on how to solve these problems right now.
If you must know, though, our thesis is about the relationship of family functioning to James Marcia's identity statuses. So if you have resources that you'd want to share to us, then please feel free to do so.
So how's my otaku side doing? Fine, I guess. Haven't really followed any anime and manga series at this point. Partly because of school work. Partly because I'm lazy when it comes to downloading anime episodes and manga chapters. Partly because I spend a considerable amount of time in Facebook (What?! The Mask has a Facebook account?!). And partly because I spend a good amount of my leisure time listening and watching to Michael Jackson songs and videos.
I guess it was just about time that the Michael Jackson fan in me would finally come out. I do remember back then in 2001 or 2002 when I saw his music video for "You Rock My World", with its gangster theme and all. Before that, I knew him primarily for "Black or White" and "Heal the World" since my childhood was in the Dangerous era. When I saw that video, I was amazed at his moves, and I learned to love the song. And if you kept track of my life, that was also the period where I became really hooked with Detective Conan, so things with crime-related stuff in it, like the video I just mentioned, would get my special attention. And the moment that I learned he was the one who sang "Smooth Criminal", the song that I had always equated with Detective Conan back then due to a certain TV commercial, I told myself that I was now a fan of Michael Jackson. It's just too bad the controversies in his life prevented me from continuing the fandom back when he was still alive. These days, I've been listening more and more to his hits, trying to do what I never thought of doing back then.
On other stuff, I have to say that I do keep track of theOtaku occasionally, and I'm a bit upset at how the News Nuggets is going. My biggest concern was that it doesn't get updated that often. I think the Eyeshield 21 news bit is my best example on this; back then, the manga series had now been scheduled to end, and this should be considered as big news, but instead there was no news bit. Either that, or I never ever saw it.
And just recently, Sailor Nevar fulfilled my request and made this fanart of Goro Shigeno, the main character of the series. As a fan of the series, this really means a lot to me, and really made my morning great when I first saw it. Thanks again, Sailor Nevar.
So I guess that ends this post. I think I shall make another post very soon, since next week is the class-free Intramurals week.
Right now, the funeral procession is still underway for the late former president Cory Aquino. From Manila Cathedral, it was supposed to arrive in the Manila Memorial Park by 3 pm (Manila time). Right now, it's already 6 pm, and the convoy carrying the late president's body hasn't even reached the memorial park yet. My mom told me that the convoy is already around two kilometers from the park; though it may be a relatively short distance, the huge number of people (around 250,000 people) surrounding the convoy makes the travel much slower than usual.
I have to say that I never thought that the procession would actually take until evening to conclude. But from what I hear, this is what happened back in the funeral of Cory's husband Ninoy.
I'll have more to say as the events progress.
UPDATE 1: They now say the crowd has reached around half a million. Wow. Truly, Cory was a beloved president. Who wouldn't? Out of all the presidents we've ever had, she was the one who had the greatest amount of moral character.
UPDATE 2: It's now 7:30 pm. The body of late Philippine president Cory Aquino has finally arrived the memorial park after around 7-9 hours.
UPDATE 3: At around 8-9 pm, Cory Aquino has finally been laid to rest, complete with military honors for the former commander-in-chief. Friends and family laid yellow flowers on her coffin before the grave marker was put into place. Once again, goodbye Tita Cory. May your soul rest in peace. And we hope that in your death, a new light will shine through for our nation.

On another note, I will make an update on my life a week or so from now, after I finish the first chapter of our thesis. You may have noticed by now that my blog has become somewhat of a eulogy world due to some significant and otherwise unforeseen deaths, so I think it's time for me to post something else later.
