My Last Day as a 17-Year-Old

ONE day before *gulp* I'm in the legal age.

Well, 17 was a good age. Many memories, much fun. One thing I feel sad about leaving this age is the fact that this will make me older than Shinichi Kudo of Detective Conan.

I remember back when I was 11 when I saw DC for the first time. At that time, I considered 17-year-old Shinichi as the amazing big brother that I never had. Now, I'll be 18, and Shinichi's still Conan. It's quite sad in my part.

Anyway, on other stuff, I'm starting to love my guest poster job. That's because of the many fun and hilariously weird you see while you research along the way. You should check out Only in Asia now to see the latest video.

Well, that's all for today. Tomorrow, I become 18. HAVE A NICE DAY EVERYONE!

My Response to "A New Outlook on Dubbing" (a Fan Word essay)

First things first. THREE days before *gulp* I'm old enough to play sweepstakes! *evil laugh* Anyway, I just wanna express some of my thoughts recently. These thoughts concern ...

Enjoying My Guest Poster Job

In case you didn't know, I have been appointed as one of the guest posters for bellpickle's world, "Only in Asia". So far, I'm enjoying my little job in that world.

Yesterday, I've posted a vid on the HUGE boo-boo at the Binibining Pilipinas 2008 (I'm sure jomz know what that's all about). Today, I posted a very heartwarming ad from Thailand.

I suggest you check those videos now by clicking here.

And P.S. SIX days before *gulp* I become qualified for a driver's license.

Welcome back, Top 10 post!

1. Thanks to WWE 24/7 and some random reading in Mick Foley's book "Have A Nice Day", I've felt much better already after that little depression that I've endured in the past week. It's like Foley personally handed me that Mankind mask and turn me back into that crazy WWE/anime fan that tells the millions (and millions) of Mask fans to smell what The Mask is cookin'.

2. Oh, the power of the WWE. The company that brought you The Rock, Stone Cold, Undertaker, Mankind . . . and of course that embarassing Gobbledygook character.

3. Today, I got my final grades for the second semester. Thankfully, I passed! Yippee! My lowest grades were on Comparative Anatomy of Vertebrates, 'coz memorizing body parts of the cat makes me go loco, and (gulp) PE.

4. "My lowest grades . . . PE." Sure you'll ask, "Whack the fut man? You got a low grade in PE?!" Well, yours truly ain't talented in basketball and volleyball (in fact, I suck!), and as a result I got a disappointing grade. My advice to people like me: Never be absent, 'coz I think my perfect attendance helped make me pass.

5. So I submitted a Shaman King article that compares how the 4Kids and the Filipino dub differ and how the 4Kids version was far worse than the Filipino version, right? And that the article is available by clicking this link, right? Well, go ahead and enjoy this piece of mine and say what you wanna say about it.

6. Here's an odd thing about this article. The idea just popped up in my mind at 1 a.m. today (Philippine time) and took me until 3 a.m. to finish. Makes me remember of "Barbecue Sauce", my humor article whose concept popped out in my mind while trying to get my evening sleep.

7. Uhh . . . why do I have this feeling that theOtaku community is quite small compared to the myOtaku community?

8. Uhh . . . I like peanuts! Peanuts help make me smart! SMART is the name of my cellular service provider! *sweatdrops*

9. Uhh . . . This top ten list was brought to you by Liquid Bread. When you're half dead and need to be fed, Liquid Bread! *more sweatdrops* (P.S. That was from "I Am Weasel")

10. Gee, I really love this kind of blog posts. I hope we can have this more often.

I Miss You Guys

First things first: 14 days before I turn *gulp* 18. Oh boy . . .

Well I took the time today to look around the memories that were made here in theOtaku and myOtaku. And I noticed something: some guys are no longer with us already . . . at least in this virtual world that celebrates the anime fandom.

First off is the very guy gal that led me to this joint: Blue Hawk. Right now, this pharmacy-studying friend of mine doesn't seem to be too active. And I assume presume that this is because she has, for the first time in her life, a lovebird. I don't have any authority to be posting details about their relationship, but I can assure you that he is a guy, and they are doing well. But I gotta admit that I miss those days when she would advertise my site in her own site (since she was, at that time, a popular member).

Next, there's Philfoula. What makes this guy so special? Dunno. Probably because he talks cool, draws cool, looks cool. I guess he just symbolized COOL. Old school COOL. COOL with no preservatives. (Okay, that last line sounded odd.) He's been out in this site for years already, but I have to admit that I still miss those simple yet fun posts that he used to make, plus that really cool self-portrait of his.

Then, there's takeshi takumi. This guy used to comment a lot on my site, and was one of my frequent visitors. Like what I said before, his comments were like "a breath of fresh air in the morning". Nowadays, I don't see him making those comments anymore in the site. Probably because my writing style had a change, or because of some things he alone knows of. I gotta say though, I missed his comments.

And last but not the least is . . . The Mask. And I mean, The Mask of the past. The guy that used to make those really electrifying posts. The guy that used to be charged up with ideas on how to poke fun with anime. The guy who can really whip up a humor article. The guy who was still so darn happy in his life. I miss him. I miss him a lot. It's really a shame that the guy I'm talking about is now a Psychology major trying to find meaning in his life (especially with his Death Note experience) and having a struggle between ambition, security, and happiness. It's a shame he does not seem to have the magic he used to do back then. Maybe age had something to do with it. *looks up in the first sentence*

Oh, I just miss you guys.

P.S. I have a feeling the very warm weather and the very warm chair that I'm sitting on has made me feel this way right now.
