Here, you will find weekly updates on the club going-ons, news from the anime world, announcements, and anything else of interest. If you have any comments, complaints, shout outs, or praise, please feel free to leave any of them here. No flames though.....unless it involves Chipotle Hot Sauce...
Kicking Reason to the Curb since 2001
To all members of the Tesoro High School Anime Club:
I am afraid that I'll be moving club meetings to Tuesdays due to conflicts with your officers' schedules. We're really sorry about the move. We've been hoping we can keep meetings on Thursdays, but due to unforeseen circumstances, meetings will return to the old Tuesday schedule as it had in previous years. Please accept our apologies as we tried our best to keep it the way it was.
P.S. I know you guys want to rub it in on me, so here's a head start...

Anyways, TO BUSINESS!!!!!
The day before Halloween marks our first cosplay day at school. That's right...I'm declaring more than one. I'll be taking pictures to post on the site. Don't worry, your GAR president will be your shining example for the day!! Also, on a more disappointing note, I'm afraid that fandubbing will be postponed until late in the winter. I know what equipment to get. It's just that your president is consistently out of money most of the time. What can I say, my allowance is also my lunch money. And don't think of me like that. A man needs to eat too. One cannot subsist upon fandom alone.
Yes. Even Tetris gets attention.
By the way, it was a great and productive discussion last week about subs vs. dubs. I'm happy that you guys as a club have taken this chance to take a step back from our normal routine of just watching anime in the club room. However, this was more of an introductory discussion as soon enough, I'll be assigning the club certain series to watch as per recommendation by Mr. Harnett. After seeing them, I'll be hosting a discussion about the series at the end of the month. Most of these will be more than likely be available online for you to watch, so there is no reason that a member cannot take part of our discussions.
The reason being for these discussions is this: I'd like to remind our members that ALL clubs in school must have some sort of academic purpose. Please remember that as your president, I have obligations to the school that must be fulfilled and it is my responsibility to follow through. This obligation also extends to you, the members, in which you must be able to follow my directions in club activities. What I mean to say is best expressed by the picture below. And yes, it is silly.
That's right. Anime IS SERIOUS BUSINESS!!
So please, bear with me. Your officers and I are doing what we can to make this year's club fun while being insightful as well. I know it may seem like a lot of work, but trust me, it isn't. As a spectator of the various online forums, what we'll be doing is no different than online talk about our favorite anime. (Minus the anonymity and bad grammar...). With your cooperation, we can pull off things that not even the previous years' anime clubs could do. Thank you.

First of all, welcome to the newly created world I have made for the club here on theOtaku.com. This website has been made for the Tesoro High School Anime Club to which I, your president, Ralph Jeriko Serranilla, will be posting future club events, Otaku Words of the Month, announcements, and other miscellanea.

I'll also be keeping a weekly-yearly blog on the site as well if you actually do care about what I think. I'm also thinking about doing various other activities on this site such as caption battles, anime reviews,essays, and other crap I forgot to mention. Hell, if the club REALLY wants, I'll post links to my fanfiction if you guys want....not that I'm advertising them......
