Troubleshoot is a standard process with most of the software these days, it is mostly just to be there (especially keeping in mind when you are using an illegal packet).
Um, not sure how you are not able to transfer iso. files to your phone if you managed to do it before, shouldn't be too hard.
There are some softwares like mobogenie which work as an agent between transferring files, but your really don't need it given the extra maintenance.
Depending on the emulator and phone that you are using I am sure that you can find a tutorial or some directions from forums online.
Basic troubleshooting should be okay. When you connect your phone to your laptop, it should come up with a popup that says you need to troubleshoot it. Clicking it should give you options as to how to fix the problem. If it looks overly complicated, then you can just click 'cancel' and look for another solution.
