I'm going back to school! I'm super happy. I had to get my Financial Aid in order and stuff. I'm excited and nervous, but hopefully it's the good kinda nervous. That's kinda what I had been busy with for a while, as far as filling out forms and other school related stuff. That's it! Just wanted to share happy news.
Here's a Sasuke doodle I did quickly. Haven't did traditional work in a while, so I need to keep up the practice. It's been mostly computer drawing drills. I didn't use a reference to draw this btw and I was practicing cross hatching, but most of it go shaded over so oh well.
I'm practicing all day, everyday. mostly on the computer on my tablet. I still have to learn how to draw bodies better. It's cool that regular anatomy still applies to anime. Now the anime tutorials feel more applicable for some reason. I'm working on the next fan art request for a contest winner. Hope to have it done real soon.
Today I went out to the library and picked up some anatomy, figure drawing and art related books. I can't believe I'm just now thinking to go the library. They look like good reads and I am hoping to gain a lot from practicing their lessons. I also got 2 books of a 3 book series called Graphic Novelists that reads on novelists including Masashi Kishimoto, their career and more. The books reads about graphic novels, comics, and manga, and gives some brief history as well.
On another note, I want to thank the winners of my latest challenge for being so patient with me on delivering the fan art requests. I had different things going on, but will definitely make the effort to getting them completed.
I would say that my practice sessions are going well. I have been doing stick figures so that I could get used to drawing bodies. I also found other things that'll help me so I'm gonna stick with doing that and I'm also gonna add more into the practice. I decided that since practicing the same stick figures and basic poses may take up a lot of paper, it seems better to practice on the computer. Now I just draw the figures and then erase and redraw XD. It's helping me become familiar with using my tablet at the same time, so it's a happy practice, esp. with some kpop and anime music in the background.
Thought I'd share a cool and insightful video on drawing an action pose.
I'm still working on the fan art requests for those who won as well as the participation art as well. I will submit the winners of the challenge their art first though. I've been studying manga alot, increase my library of tutorials that I watch i...
