Pearl Ribbon Necklace & Decora Bracelets
I've finished another necklace and bracelets! ^^ This time the style was based on Fairy-kei and Decora. I'm really starting to get into those styles now, so I'll hopefully have a lot more designs added soon!
Since the bracelets are styled towards Decora, I used simple plastic beads for them. I think they're really pretty! Decora and Fairy-kei use a lot of plastic jewelry, so these fit right in. ^^
Wow, it's been forever...
It's been so long since I've come to TheOtaku. I'd really like to come here more often, and I hope I can get back into the habit of it. I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted anything in this world, so I'm at least going to try to keep this world updated for my shop. So here's what my little shop has been up to lately. =)
I finished my first commission for BTSSB and Angelic Pretty replicas. I really liked how they came out, but they were a huge headache to make. ^^' I couldn't find any light off-white lace that looked right, so I ended up dying the lace by hand.
I also just finished a hair barrette inspired by the new game, Alice: Madness Returns. I'm also working on a necklace based on the Red Queen, but it may take a while to complete. Anyway, this bow is made from real playing cards which I absolutely love. ^^
And I also just set up my first Artist Alley Table at OMGcon. I did a lot better than I though I would, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get another table sometime this year. My friend shared the table with me, which was fun, but also kinda troublesome. At first she was just going to help out and sell a few things she made, so I paid for the table myself ($60) and let her have the extra badge that the table came with. But somehow the table turned into 'ours' instead of 'mine' and I only got half the table for my stuff. OTL She's a sweetie though, I think she just got excited and I didn't have the heart to tell her to slow down. Nonetheless, we did really well. =)
New headbows & update
I just got a new laptop today so I'm busy transferring all my files. It's taking a long time, but I finally got all my photos done. This world for my shop is sooooo out of date, so here's a pic of the new OTT headbows I've started making for my shop! ^-^ It started out as a commission, but I liked the design and ease of making them, so I've decided to make them a regular addition to my shop. I've also almost finished a strawberry necklace, not like my other though. The strawberry is much larger this time and will be on a simple siilver chain instead of pearl beads.
Bonnets and necklaces listed! ^o^
I finally have bonnets listed in my shop! Yay! ^o^ They're both half bonnets, one in black and white, and the other in black and dark brown. The dark brown is so dark it's almost black, so I actually like how the black fabric looks with it. I've also finished two rose necklaces, and I'm working on a black rose now. ^^
