Well, I'm Olivia and this is my blog. I'm not too good at describing myself but you can get to know me and become my friend if you want to. I like to make wallpapers and vectors in my free time. If you're curious and want to find out more about me, check this page ^_^
My main goal isn't having a lot of downloads on my wallpapers, but providing high quality graphics. I try to credit as much as possible, but if you think I used something of yours without permission, please notify me and we will discuss the matter.
Here's my e-mail address, in case you need it: devlish_pandemonium@yahoo.com. Please don't spam me and please don't add me to your messenger list unless we're good friends (and please, PLEASE tell me who you are here when you add me ^_^)
I've kind of stopped commenting on artwork. You'll still see me around, but only on better-than-average works. Why? Simply because I've been in the graphics "business" for some time and now I have higher standards than before; also, most of the works here are similar and I've grown tired of giving the same advice, over and over again. Sorry, but you'll only see a comment of mine if I like your work.

- Don't steal my graphics a.k.a. remove the credits and/or post them on other sites. If you need something I used, just PM me and I'll tell you where I got it from.

- When signing my guest book, please write more than one line. No "I love your site, I'm addin ya!", please. And absolutely NO "Visit my site!" stuff! I'll ignore these posts (and the posters). Be creative. If you sign my guest book abiding by these rules, I'll visit your site and sign yours :] I might be late signing it, but don't worry, I will sign it.

- Let's get this straight. If you want me as a friend, visit my site and comment on my posts and/or wallpapers. I'm not asking you to comment on each and every one; once in a while is enough :] I don't update too often (once a week at most), so it shouldn't be difficult to come by and leave a comment. If you're busy, I'll understand.

- If you're PM'ing me to complain about something, provide arguments. I won't pay attention to stuff which doesn't make sense.

If you have a question, please read the rules first. If it isn't answered there, feel free to ask me. Please be polite and I will be as well.

You can find my works on these sites:

Back from the realm of the dead!

Hey hey! By now, I'm sure everyone has gotten used to me disappearing for a looong time, then reappearing with a huge post! This time it might be shorter, I don't have that much to say and I don't feel like writing a long post either.

First, I might change my theme soon, as soon as I feel motivated enough to work on new images. Lately I've been annoyed at the very sight of the Photoshop icon on my desktop DX What else can I possibly do, I'm bored of vectoring and there's no other way I can wall all those black & white manga scans I want! *frustrated* Oh, and I should also be doing a creepy Halloween wallpaper for a contest and I've never been good at creating creepy walls! >_< The "in-your-face" things are just not my style, and splashing everything with blood brushes looks awfully low-effort work to me. Plus, I rely more on atmosphere than on blood and other gory effects.

In other news, school's been taking up a lot of my time these last few days. We've been arguing about some presentation themes in Romanian class, since all are quite difficult to do and require some degree of research and time. To lay out the facts, the first theme is "Romans and Dacians" (spell check can screw itself, "Dacians" is a word, according to Wikipedia). Each major theme (like this one) has a few sub-themes, which are more like a guidance. There were 8 on this theme and the teacher divided them among us (we picked what we wanted). On Tuesday, me and the 3 other girls from my group went to the library to do some research, since we got the "comparison between the foundation myths and legends of the European peoples". We got some info from the books we found at the library, all that's left is to arrange and present it (in front of the class, naturally). I think I'll be doing the speaking part, I've done it in the debate last year so it's not a problem ^^" I'm a natural born stubborn person :3

Anyway, the next theme will be about religion and its role in society, during the Middle Ages, with 6 sub-themes. Since they could be grouped 2 by 2, I proposed for each group (3 groups picked that theme, including mine) to take 2 sub-themes and speak about those -it was accepted, and now we don't have that much work to do! Which is good, considering the fact that if all of us wrote about the entire theme, it was highly possible to have the same facts (and repeating oneself isn't too pleasant). I'm looking forward to this theme, my group chose 2 sub-themes which were about the link between religion and politics, which is a delicate but interesting topic :)

That's about it for now. I'd better get going, I have a lot of projects to finish (yes, I've decided to sacrifice myself on the altar of the almighty god Photoshop. I have no life! DX) A huge thank you (and a free cookie :3) to everyone who comments on my posts! *hugs* Hope you are doing great!
P.S. I <3 my new avatar :3

The yuck factor - "Masters Of Horror" short review

Ok, I am SERIOUSLY never watching anything made by Dario Argento ever again. It's total crap, in my opinion. This post is here for me to rant out my frustration at wasting a good hour of my life watching something (why did I? no one made me watch it =_=") I don't know if anyone's actually going to be interested in this, since I don't know many people who enjoy horror films.

Some of you might find this post totally confusing so I'm going to explain it a bit. I've recently been watching Masters of Horror, a TV series with 2 seasons of 13 episodes each, each episode directed by a different director of horror films, a "master" (some directed more than one but that's beside the point). Dario Argento is an Italian director of horror films but I haven't seen any of his films before this episode, mainly because I heard they were based more on nudity and gore than plot. By the way, the MoH episodes aren't connected, they're random stories.

I'm currently at episode 5 of MoH and I have mixed opinions. The intro seems promising (watch at your own risk, it's a little disturbing here and there). The plot outlines seem promising. Why does it end up poor? I must say I watched episode 1 with my friend Nico and wasn't too impressed. It's said that the beginning is important; in this case, it failed. I thought the first episode would be more fit as a "first horror" (first one you watch in your life!), rather than the beginning of such a promising series.

Then came the second episode, which pleasantly surprised me (at least more than the first one did). I really like someone on the IMDb boards' statement: "is there a MoH episode without nudity?" Haven't seen one yet! Anyway, I was lookign forward to it because I've heard a lot about H.P. Lovecraft but haven't had a chance to read any of his writings. It was mildly entertaining though I could predict some of the moments. The ending was a nice twist when it could have failed, rendering the whole thing ok.

The third episode is my favorite one up to this point. Maybe because it's got Robert Englund in it? (he played Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street series) Maybe ^^ He was quite convincing in his role and the atmosphere of the episode was eerie. Finally I felt the series was going somewhere! Still one of the most creepy things I've seen, judging solely by the plot and the execution. Recommended to see at the beginning instead of the first episode.

Then came the catastrophe, the fourth episode! This one's directed by Argento. I had seen it before but remembered only small bits (goes to show how good it was...) so I decided to watch it again just for the fun of it. Jenifer, the "girl" was ugly as Hell, but that didn't bother me too much. What bothered me a LOT was seeing her eat a cat -yes, she ate a cat...- and then kiss the guy in main role @_@ Barf bag, please!! Ugly girl? Check. Lots of sex scenes with said ugly girl? Check. Unimaginative plot? Check. Predictable ending? Check. WTF moments? Check.

This episode really put me off and I am seriously thinking about not watching any more of MoH. Come on, anyone can make a lousy horror film -just throw in a cliche killer, some booby blondes (no offense to the smart blondes), some stereotypical characters, a hot guy, a never-working cellphone, a crappy car which breaks down in the middle of the forest (at night) and you've got your standard horror film. Don't believe me? Check out . It's got a 2.5/10 rating from 312 people and it came out in 2005 - I was feeling generous the day I voted and gave it a 2.

In the end, I can't say what I feel exactly, I'll give it one more chance. Maybe John Carpenter will save some of these cheap ideas. If not, the case is closed. Anyway, thank you for reading this (if you have). You don't have to leave a comment if you don't want to or this subject doesn't interest you. One more advice: if a horror movie is bad enough, it becomes comedy. Jenifer (fourth episode) is neither a horror nor a comedy. It's just too bad. Hope you have a great day and feel free to share your opinions on this subject or horror films in general ^_^
