School-wise, this Thursday was a parent-teacher conference 
Yay. One big yay. This time, I had the courage to tell my parents I had gotten a 3 in Maths (usually I wait for a it until I get a higher mark and then kinda balance them -it always ends up like this) and this time they didn't find out from the teacher :D Yay. I know, I'm stupid and a coward, sue me T_T Now I have to attend extra classes of Maths, though I was supposed to attend them anyway, since next year's a very important and difficult exam and I have to start preparing in time *dies* At least they're going to be on a Thursday, when I have easier classes -if it were on Tuesday, I would've run away from home: I have 7 different classes then *dies again*
Anyway, moving on to a lighter subject, I'm happy my mom isn't angry at me and didn't take my monitor away (again) - that happened a few years ago :D She even bought me something today! Something pretty expensive, but which is worth the money: a book about Adobe Illustrator CS2! It has everything and I'll be using it, since I'm dumb and it took me a few weeks to realize how to switch between the tools in the Tool Palette DX I'm dumb. It cost around $31 but I'm happy because I managed to get the last one, the rest were torn and old. Now, just gotta start learning
That's about it for today, I won't be on as much because I have to study for school, Maths and (probably) English because I have a friggin' Cambridge exam coming up and it scared the living daylights out of me XD Kidding, it didn't scare me that much, but I'm not resting assured either. *cough* Since Saku is so sweet, she allowed me Guest Poster status on her Avatars & Icon Bases world, so you'll see some icons/bases from me soon Take care and have a great weekend, everyone! *hugs*
Wow, I'm posting again, and barely 2 days after the last one! The world as we know it is no more. Thank you to everyone for the comments! *glomps people whether they like it or not* Oh, I discovered a new thing in Photoshop: did you know that if you go to Brushes -> Presets Manager, click on a brush, press Shift and then click on another brush, before or after the first one, it selects all the brushes between the first and second? :o *n00b* Lol I learn new things every day!
Anyway, today was the big day for the presentation! It went pretty well and the teacher said we deserved a 9/10 for the oral presentation but we'll most likely get a 10, also considering the written essay Things were pretty hectic before the class of Romanian because me and one of the girls from my group (Georgiana) decided yesterday to present the essay together (the essay was about Romans and Dacians, if you're wondering). Today we were busy deciding what each of us would say and I was really nervous about it, because we were the first group!
We began our presentation and said our parts, but I was stunned when G started saying some of the things I was supposed to say! I looked confused at my other group mates "what is she doing??" and I must've looked pretty funny XD I really don't know how she managed to learn all those things by heart, since she barely looked at the notes we had taken (we had different notes). It lasted longer than we had expected (around 30 minutes) -we were supposed to speak for only 10 @_@ But none of the other groups' projects were done, so it was OK. We had one of the classes all to ourselves XD
After we were done with the presentation, it was time for questions. Personally, I glared at everyone "Don't you dare ask something. I can find out where you live" XD There were some questions but we managed to answer them without looking like idiots. And I love arguing -even if I'm not right, I still want to prove I am XD Luckily, that was not the case.

And speaking about PS, these days I've been uber busy with some really big images the Geography teacher gave me to modify >,< A classmate (and friend) squealed that I'm talented in PS and the teacher took the opportunity DX Yesterday I had to wait for 1 hour for a girl to copy them to my memory stick because she kept talking with others and ignoring me -_- I even had to skip Chemistry to stay there and the friggin' laptop (the teacher's one) kept freezing all the time too! I really wanted to attend Chem - it's the optional Chem, not the regular one, and we have a really sweet teacher.
So, yesterday I had to multi-task between the presentation, the Geography project, the Physics test (which was today) and Nico, who stayed home that day and wanted me to scan the lessons for her DX Even I can't do all that and remain sane!
At least the Physics test was good. For the first time in my high school years, I didn't think "oh crap, I'm gonna fail this" at a Physics test! Yeah, it's that bad. It was reasonable and I solved all the requirements, even though their correctness is a part I don't want to know XD I'm happy being ignorant for the moment, even though I have reasons to believe I haven't messed it up as badly as I have other tests!
Holy peppercorn, this is long. OMG is peppercorn a word?! I made it up in my mind now o_O I'll check the dictionary later to find out what it means *feels smart* I won't be entering the Halloween contest because I'm too lazy and busy with school to work with a deadline DX *gets poked* OK, I'll end it now ^^" Thank you again for visiting and reading my long and weird posts! Just like it says, I felt like posting! Which is rare, because I usually disappear into the mist and am considered dead and buried until making a glorious, last-minute comeback :D I know, I love it too. Wait *checks date of last post*... Oh my gawd it's been 5 days already?! :O *feels weird*
Before my RAM memory gets deleted, a big thank you to all the merciful souls who commented on my last post! ^^ *hugs souls* SweetD appreciates it, even though she sometimes is rude by not thanking for it DX
So... what shall I post about this time? Oh, today we had to draw something in Spanish class! The theme was "Ecology", so we basically had to draw something related to it and come up with a slogan to fit the drawing(s) (or vice versa). We drew a rainbow with bright colors with one side of the paper and a continuation of it, only the continuation had depressing colors -including a color I like to call, in academic terms, "shitty brown" XD Um, we also drew a river without water and with a dead fish in it (I drew the dead fish, which looked like it was floating and was kinda creepy DX) I deserve a 10 at least for the creepy fish :3
Before Spanish, I had English and the teacher gave us some pages of the story "The Emperor's New Clothes" and we had to read them out loud. Boy, was it mind-numbing! We didn't get to read anything, of course, because most of the time we had to figure out who got which character >_< And just when you thought you had a character for yourself, it turned out someone else had picked it! I tried to sleep but couldn't DX That teacher kept coming my way and "giving directions"! Personally, I never understood a thing and am happy I didn't read anything -I was too lazy to do it and that woman wanted to give me the role of the Narrator, which was the longest part! I was too lazy for it XD And exactly when me and a classmate had the roles delimited, a girl came and took our pages away, which left me saying "How the F am I supposed to narrate when I have no sheets?!" ._. *twitch*
This is long! Let's move on to art now. Hey hey! By now, I'm sure everyone has gotten used to me disappearing for a looong time, then reappearing with a huge post! This time it might be shorter, I don't have that much to say and I don't feel like writing a long post either.
First, I might change my theme soon, as soon as I feel motivated enough to work on new images. Lately I've been annoyed at the very sight of the Photoshop icon on my desktop DX What else can I possibly do, I'm bored of vectoring and there's no other way I can wall all those black & white manga scans I want! *frustrated* Oh, and I should also be doing a creepy Halloween wallpaper for a contest and I've never been good at creating creepy walls! >_< The "in-your-face" things are just not my style, and splashing everything with blood brushes looks awfully low-effort work to me. Plus, I rely more on atmosphere than on blood and other gory effects.

In other news, school's been taking up a lot of my time these last few days. We've been arguing about some presentation themes in Romanian class, since all are quite difficult to do and require some degree of research and time. To lay out the facts, the first theme is "Romans and Dacians" (spell check can screw itself, "Dacians" is a word, according to Wikipedia). Each major theme (like this one) has a few sub-themes, which are more like a guidance. There were 8 on this theme and the teacher divided them among us (we picked what we wanted). On Tuesday, me and the 3 other girls from my group went to the library to do some research, since we got the "comparison between the foundation myths and legends of the European peoples". We got some info from the books we found at the library, all that's left is to arrange and present it (in front of the class, naturally). I think I'll be doing the speaking part, I've done it in the debate last year so it's not a problem ^^" I'm a natural born stubborn person :3
Anyway, the next theme will be about religion and its role in society, during the Middle Ages, with 6 sub-themes. Since they could be grouped 2 by 2, I proposed for each group (3 groups picked that theme, including mine) to take 2 sub-themes and speak about those -it was accepted, and now we don't have that much work to do! Which is good, considering the fact that if all of us wrote about the entire theme, it was highly possible to have the same facts (and repeating oneself isn't too pleasant). I'm looking forward to this theme, my group chose 2 sub-themes which were about the link between religion and politics, which is a delicate but interesting topic :)
