Waking From A Dream 2

Chapter Two

--

"Next stop: Destiny Islands. Repeat, next stop: Destiny Islands!" The loud speaker repeated twice. Sora whimpered and awoke from his slumber, finally realizing that Destiny Islands was his stop. He raised a hand and rubbed at his eyes, trying to get the sleep out of them. He yawned and stood up as the train stopped.

'How many time have I woken up and wished that this was all a dream?' Sora thought to himself as he reached up and got his belongings out of the compartment over his head. He walked out into the middle isle and made his way down to the, just now opening, doors. The brunette stepped out and off of the train, immediately hissing when the sunlight hit him. He was not a vampire but he knew pretty damn well how one felt at the moment.

"Come on, come on! Spiky, gravity defying brown hair, big, big, huge blue eyes, and a bright blue necklace with a strange glow...I can't miss him...," a feminine voice said. "Damn it, Cloud! Why didn't you ask for a better description! You had best know what he looks like! We may be here all day--mmmmphhh!"

"There...Sora!" A male voice called. Sora looked over in the direction the voice came from and almost let out a cheek-to-cheek grin. Instead, he ran over and hugged the person the voice belonged to.

"Cloud!" He yelled in the man's black shirt. The presumed 'Cloud' allowed a small smile to grace his flawless face before he hugged the smaller male back.

"Hey there, Sora...Sakura-chan called and told risa and I to come and pick you up from the station. And as you well know, Risa didn't remember what you looked like so she and Sakura were on the phone for an hour, getting the details straightened out. But don't worry, I won't make you deal with Risa's cooking. It's crazy terrible. And, you'll be living on a dorm anyway with a secure roommate. I'll be across the hall, of course in case you need anything," Cloud tried to explain. Sora nodded his head as if he understood, but refused to let Cloud go.

Risa's cheeks puffed out and she wailed, "It's not fair Cloud! You can't keep him all to yourself, I wanna hug him too!"

Cloud shook his head and patted the top of Sora's head, the brunette finally letting him go, "I wasn't trying to keep him all to myself. Anyway, let's get going. I do not fancy the idea of being out in the heat like this."

"Oh yeah, I heard about you skin cancer, Cloud," Risa commented as she squealed suddenly and clung to Sora. She earned herself a very hateful glare from Cloud before they went off. Risa only chatted with Sora, not really interested in where Cloud was going. "Don't worry, Sora-chan! I'll make sure that you end up rooming with someone dependable like Squall or Demyx! No worries there!"

"Don't let Leon hear you call him that," Cloud warned. He knew how the elder male got about people calling him by his real name...especially when they were in public. There were countless times when Leon would send hateful glares Risa's way for calling him 'Squall' in public while he was there, though he knew she only did it to piss him off. The blonde shrugged it off and continued walking.

They made several right turns and a few left turns before they reached a large complex. Windows were neatly placed in rows and balconies were not forgotten. Sora nearly gaped at the sudden intake of the fancy looking complex--but then it suddenly hit him and he wrenched himself away from Risa to grab Cloud's arm, "Wait, I'm living here?!"

Cloud nodded and smirked slightly in amusement,"Yeah, you're living here."

Risa trotted up to the gate and opened it, pressing her fingers against the pad lock. The gates opened and Risa stayed where she was. She looked at Sora and grinned happily,"Don't worry, as I said! I'll get you a dependable roommate!"

The blonde raised an eyebrow, "Wait, are you implying that I'm not dependable?" The female brunette rolled her eyes.

"No, no, no! Not exactly, anyway...I just think that he needs someone more talkative than you! You're kind of...silent...?" She searched for the right words to say. Cloud rolled his eyes this time and walked towards the large doors oh the complex.

"Let's go, Sora," he called. The brunette jolted to attention and followed Cloud in.

This time, Sora gaped. The place was surprisingly normal--except for the dashing, scary white walls painted over with different crazy designs, the soft looking navy blue carpet, and the grand stairway. It almost made Sora fear the rooms.

Cloud rolled his eyes and they walked up the stairs, slowly making their way to a room at the end of the hall. Sora got attacked mentally by the plants and shook his head at them. The blonde knocked on the door, only to have it opened abruptly by a very sleepy looking silver-haired male. "Riku."

"...Cloud," Riku yawned and looked over and down at Sora. A lively smirk suddenly spread across his face, "And you're Sora...right?"

Sora could not speak. He seen green eyes one minute and blue eyes the next. He made a decision, "Do your eyes always do that?"

"Do my eyes do...what?" Riku asked, suddenly confused. Cloud sighed and patted Sora's head gently.

"Don't worry, koi. His eyes have always been like that...you'll get used to it soon enough," Cloud looked over and his shoulder at the room behind him, "That's my room so don't be shy. You're always welcome there...and...if you want to talk about Roxas or anything at all, I can listen. I mean, I'm not good at giving advice but I can still listen, all right?"

"...yeah, thanks," Sora said as he nodded. He looked up at Riku, only to find now aquamarine eyes staring down at him. "Okay...um...I need to get through."

"Sir, yes, sir." Riku said. He did not move, however, causing Sora to sigh and begin moving passed him. He went to squeeze himself between the door and Riku, but the elder male moved and let him through freely. The brunette looked back at the silverette who shrugged. "Didn't want to seem like a bad person."

"Oh," Sora said in recognition. He looked to the left and seen that the bed was not taken. He shook his head and muttered "Ironic" under his breath before he walked over to it and dropped his stuff.

Riku smirked and looked at Cloud, "No worries, buddy. I'll take good care of your koi."

"Riku, if you think about doing what I think you're thinking about doing, so God help me I will chop your testicles off. You are three years older than him so know your limits," Cloud warned, his voice dripping with venom. Riku rolled his eyes and shut the door.

"Sheesh, that blondie doesn't know when to take a joke," Riku eyed Sora, "I hope you know how to take a joke."

"As long as it doesn't involve--no, never mind. I think I can take a joke," Sora said and nodded him head in confirmation. He stared at the extremely fluffy and comfy looking bed and suddenly felt a wave of something decidingly sleepy wash over him. He fell forward, only to be hugged from behind quickly by a pair of warm arms.

"I'm sorry. You probably don't want to be touched, but you seem to feel the same thing I felt when I first got here. I just don't think you'd want to bang your head off of the end of the bed," Riku laid Sora down properly and smiled lightly as the brunette looked up at him with big, confused blue eyes. "I won't hurt you, so don't give me that look. I am merely helping you, that's all. We should be friends, all right?"

"...friends..." Sora muttered. His eyelids drooped shut automatically and he nodded. "All right."

"Good. We'll be friends from now on, then," Riku nodded and got on the bed, his weight causing it to dip. "Good night, Sora." He contemplated doing something to get his testicles chopped off but he then dropped the idea and retreated to his own bed.

I wanna break out

I need a way out

I don't believe that it's gotta be this way
