Hello everyone! Welcome to the Story Book world! As a kid I always had this dream of becoming a published author so I wrote plenty of short stories that were not very good... I still have them but I think I might throw them away soon so I'm going to post them here along with a picture that matches the story. I'll make the pictures with my tablet so I can improve 'cause that tablet hates me. Kidding! Anyway I hope you enjoy my little short stories!

Meeting Mr. President

Author's comment: I wrote this story in 2001 so the plot makes a lot of sense. The president at the time was George W. Bush, so there you have him! Eh, lol~ Sorry Mr. Ex-President, I tried my best! This story is kinda weird! Sorry that I made it so that the president didn't want to help and that the reason for him to change his mind was so silly... You know kids~ I was only 10 when I wrote this!

Meeting Mr. President

A long, long time ago there was a city called Poor-engol. It was a very poor city, but it had not always been that way. Before it was a fun city, every family would pick Poor-engol as the vacation destination! But then one day, strangers from a different country came and wreaked havoc, stealing everything they could. The strangers would say that if part of the name was poor then this would fit the city just fine. After this the citizens of Poor-engol were left poor and unable to stand up and build up the city again. Sometimes the citizens would find some money lying around and go to the grocery store but these were almost empty too.

One day an eleven year old girl named Brigitte was watching the news and the story of Poor-engol was on. This made Brigitte feel upset, so she decided that she would leave that very night (without telling her parents), to help the city. So she made a list of all the things she would need, she packed she took a shower and went to sleep. She would wake up at midnight and leave in secrecy. Before she could go to bed, though, her mother yelled at her to go mop the bathroom’s floor. It was always the same story. Brigitte always made a mess while showering.

Ring! Ring! Ring! Went her alarm clock. It was finally midnight and for some reason she went straight to the white house to talk to the president. However, once she got there she realized he was sleeping. So she went to sleep on the side walk while she waited for him.

It was finally morning so she begged the guards to let her in but they wouldn’t let her. Until the president himself came down and told them to let her in! She quickly went inside, she used a bathroom in the white house where she took a shower and then she meddled in the first lady’s toiletries and used her perfume. Brigitte was a very nonchalant girl.

After that, she had breakfast with the president and the first lady. The president was very nice and he asked her tons of questions. Then the first lady asked her: “Where are your parents?” “Oh, they’re at home”-answered silly Brigitte. The president and first lady laughed.

After breakfast the president finally asked: “So what did you wanna talk about?” When Brigitte told him that what she wanted was for him to help her help the city of Poor-engol he grimaced, he did not want to help that city. He was busy enough as it was!

But in the end Brigitte was so annoying and misbehaved and quite the beggar that the president gave up and decided to help her; and because he wanted her as far away from him as possible he sent her to the city of Poor-engol by airplane. But before she left she remembered she had gone without telling her parents! So she wrote them the following letter:

“Dear mom & dad,
I want you to know that I’m doing fine. I left home so I could help Poor-engol city
Love,
Brigitte”

After sending the letter she left and in about a week the city was fun and economically healthy again! They even changed the name of the city to Fun-engol!

The End

The enchanted forest

Author's comment: I'm pretty sure I was twelve when I wrote this story. This one actually had an unexpected outcome. Kinda, I guess... lol! As for the drawing I uesd Sai, I tried making it more painted looking this time with lots of brush strokes but you know! Oh well, enjoy the story feel free to comment!

Ava was a twelve year old girl who misbehaved so much on last day of school that her mother decided to punish her. This hurt Ava’s pride so much she decided to leave home that night and come back a week later.
That night, after leaving through the window she entered a very dark forest, luckily she had a flashlight. But whoops! When she got deep into the forest it ran out of power… Now she was scared, really scared. So she tried to start a fire but to no avail. She had no option but to fall asleep on the ground.
The next morning Ava woke up because she felt something on her face. It was an elf.

-“Oh hello there little dwarf, what are you doing on my face?” said Ava
-“I’m not a dwarf I’m elf, little girl. The name’s Elfys I’m a hundred years old. You?”
-“My name’s Ava, I’m twelve. Nice to meet you. Where am I?”
-“You are in an enchanted forest”
-“An enchanted forest?!”
-“Yes! I’ll be your guide through this forest, missy”
The elf took Ava to where all the other elves were and they all became friends. A group of elves brought her a hollow tree trunk as a gift. She was happy but wondering what it was for. They told her to look inside. They had turned it into a comfy bed just for her! All the elves loved her. Elfys suddenly asked her if she was going to stay with them forever but she explained to him that soon she’d have to go back to her parents.
-“Well I hope we can still be friends after you leave”-said Elfys.
The next day Elfys said to Ava: “I would like to ask you a favor”
-“What is it” said Ava
-“Follow me”
They walked until they stood in front of a black, old, abandoned castle.
“Ava, I need you to enter the castle and battle whoever lives inside. Don’t let him come outside”
“Uh… oh… o.k…”
That night Ava went into the castle. She was quite surprised. For the inside looked nothing like the outside. It was almost completely pink and it had very good lighting. She suddenly saw a blonde girl in a dress.
-“Uh, oh… yeah. Hi, why are the elves afraid of you?” asked Ava
-“Because I’m a princess and they think I’ll force them to be my slaves” said the girl
-“Oh my gosh! You are a princess?! No way!!!”
-“Yeah, but I don’t go out anymore because of the elves”
-“Then we have to go outside together and show them you’re a good person!”
-“But I’m afraid! What if they don’t believe us?!”
-“They will. Please, I need you to do this! It’s really time for me to go back home!”
-“You ran away from home, didn’t you?”
-“Uh, um… yeah but now I know that it was wrong and I really wanna go back home…”
Together the girls went outside and showed the elves that what they had been thinking was nothing but a myth. Before Ava went back home, she asked the princess: “Why is your castle black?”
-“Oh, I love black!” the princess replied
Afterwards she went back home, where she finally met with her worried parents and promised them to never run away from home again.

Buttons, Buttons, Buttons

Author's comment: I was 9 years old when I wrote this one. I wrote it after I had a dream that I was supposed to collect 100 buttons before I turned 15 or I would die! ***BTW I have no idea where I got the name of the store in this story... As a child I was very fond of making up words so I'm pretty sure it's just another made-up word.

There once was a girl named Amelia who had a dress she loved. The print in the fabric of this dress was buttons. This dress inspired her to create an original dress. Her dress would have real buttons sewn to it instead of a print. She didn't have buttons at her house for the dress so she went house-to-house asking for buttons. When her mom found out she got very mad. She scolded her saying: "What are you doing bothering your neighbors? I can take you to a store to buy buttons and thread!". Amelia answered: "O.k mom, you don't have to yell at me". Her mother, Juliet, answered: "Before we go to the store you'll stand in the corner for five minutes, missy". Amelia humbly accepted her punishment.

After five minutes of standing Amelia's mom took her to a store called Telbot to buy the things the girl needed for her dress, buttons and fabric. Amelia chose 100 buttons and three yards of yellow fabric. After they paid for the materials Amelia began running to get to her house quickly. In the process she fell down. Once again her mom scolded her, telling her it was her own fault for being so impatient. When they finally got home Amelia startes sewing like there was no tomorrow. She finished her dress and it came out rather pretty. After looking at the finished product she began sewing the buttons all over the dress.

After she was done sewing all those buttons she showed the dress to her mom and said: "Look mommy, look how pretty my dress is!". Her mom was shocked, she found the dress too extravagant. The next day Amelia put her dress on and went to the park with her mom.
