Queen of the Court

*So, I was in a huge writing craze and wrote this! It's just something I think about, and decided to share*

There are moments in our lives that can only be described as fate, as nothing else can come close to explaining how and why things turned out the way they did. There are defining moments, moments that, without them, would make us a completely different person.

Think of it this way. You leave the house one morning and remember that you forgot your phone, but beings you are in a hurry, you do not turn around to retrieve it. Instead, you continue on your way. As you cross the street, a car, from seemingly out of nowhere runs you over, and you lay on the cement bleeding. If you had gone back for your phone, that event could not have happened, as time would have been altered. What if the driver of that car had left his house a minute earlier?

I tend not to believe in fate, however, as I would like to believe that I can control my own destiny and make the decisions in it on my own. But, it is never my own decision is it?

Our culture leads us to believe a certain way. Whether you are trying to go with the current or against it. No one is truly more unique than the next, as we are all different, just like everyone else.

For instance, we have the crazed twilight fans who worship Edward Cullen. We think we are going against the current by disliking everything that has to do with the twilight universe, but we aren't being different at all, as there are so many people who feel exactly the same way. You are just jumping from one box to another.

There are so many traditions and values about everything. You are not going to be the first person to think a certain way, but in order to make history, you have to act on that thought. That is how great people are made.

Everything happens for a reason This, amongst many others, is my personal favorite quote, and probably one of the best quotes that define me. I believe this whole-heartedly. There is always something that comes out of every single situation, good and bad. Even if it is so awful you think that there is no possible way something can be taken away from it, I assure you it can happen.

I have been through many hardships in my life, so I believe I can speak from experience with this one. If you want to talk to me about this, feel free to PM me or comment. I'd love to have a conversation with you about anything.

*Like I said, this is just a few thoughts I had running through my head, and I wanted to get them written down. You don't have to agree with me, but I would like to hear what you all think about this.*
