Title: WINTER WONDERLAND
White snow flakes tickle the soft, cold, and frosted ground.
I am waiting in their midst,
Not knowing anyone who passes me by,
Trickling ice turns into cold rain,
Everything is covered in a chill all its own.
Running rivers thrash around snow, as they freeze.
White tears drench the land.
On a cold and hollow morning,
No one dares to break the essence of silence in this wonderland.
Does the winter wind ever slow?
Every thought turns toward the mountains of cold rock-like snow.
Running rivers drenched in ice, no longer slush by.
Lost in a winter wonderland,
A dream frozen to the bone.
Never have the echos of time stood still, and yet, winter has passed,
Drenching rains still fall, and its still winter in my wonderland.......

Two Hands One Sword by: Jennie N. Jumper
INTRODUCTION:
He stood in the darkness, unmoving, as still as stone set tight in granite.
I took one look into his smoldering flashing eyes, as they glowed in the half light of the moon, and knew I shouldn't have come. The eerie lights in the cemetery dimmed the darkness encircling us. I could tell by the way he moved he was going to kill me. I had only enough spirit to stand and face my attacker. My will to run leaving my muscles strained so tight that they were locked, visibly tight against the skin. He smiled at my calm face, and knew that I had seen through him. I took the advantage and staggered to my feet, into a clumsy half stance, not enough to evade him. I grabbed the sword in the stone of a near by grave. I had to live, to save what remained of my world, or fall into the horror that was theirs.......

Today after the duration of school was out, I whent with my father to daffins, a place notto far from where we live. It was to get the deer he had shot the week before. Daffins had cleaned and butchered it. I do not approve of such things, but bieng a child, let my father do as he may. He warrned me not to go inside, I should have listened, now I soarly wish I had. For as we entered the smell of fresh blood, cut insides, and rotted meat was over whelming, but so as to prove my tomboyishness, I said not a word, made not a sound. I even breathed in the naughseating stench so as not to be lair. I even saw a deer be skined, and another dragged by its head inside. I could see every muscle, every inside, but I did not flinch. When we go thome I was handed my supper, and forced it down as best I could. It was quite a memorable thing, something I am sure not to soon forget. I think over the course of ten minutes I have become a vegetarian!
