Sentimental Cinematique is for anime/manga talk.

I am an Otaku Legend who's been on this site for four years and counting. TheOtaku is really my one and only anime community. You can call me Kira, my internet alias. Kira the irish gaelic one, not the japanese one you keep hearing about in sparkles and Death Note. I've also been been called Spiffy and my usernames on other sites range from SpiffySporkPerson to SporkPerson to The Spiffeh and most recently, Sir Spiffalot.

I've watched a lot of anime since I "officially" became a fan when I was ten, but I always subconsciously went for anime on my saturday morning cartoons. As of August 2009 I have watched 120 anime series. However I do limit the manga I read to a few series and only follow a couple artists. My favorite series ever is Nabari no Ou. ♥ Other manga I read are Dogs: Bullets and Carnage, Aoi Hana and Hourou Musukou by Shimura Takako, anything by Arina Tanemura, and anything Takeshi Obata illustrates. I also read A LOT of webcomics.

I heart both yaoi and yuri. Luckily for you, I don't get extreme and fangirly over it. Not that I'm not secretly kyaa-ing and squee-ing on my side of the screen.

As for music, I listen mostly to indie rock. But I listen to some heavy metal, hip hop, techno and pop too.

Uhhh, my hobbies? I draw. And sew a little. And I like food a lot. But I'm not fat. I weigh 100 pounds. That's not too bad for 5 feet. orz.

Cleaned up my pile of pictures. <3
Now I still have a pile but it's a lot shorter than before.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the number of finished sketches outweighed the number of never-to-be finished sketches.
I should do a sketch dump.
I don't feel like scanning so much.
I feel bad if I upload anything that isn't colored.

Convention

Convention weekend was fun TO SAY THE LEAST.
I really wanna make a mini comic to show my adventures because it'd be much more exciting than telling everything that happened. And entertaining too I hope? I'd consider it a kick off into doing webcomics (which I desperately want to do but too unorganized to actually consider). Next year I might get a table there to sell my plushies, but I'd have to make twenty of everything over the summer. FFFF

I stayed after for chemistry which only took like, 5 minutes, so I visited the GSA. :))) I can't go there too often because of other clubs on monday and I don't want my parents to know. The last time I told them I was doing it, they said I couldn't go anymore. SAD FACE. We had fun conversations about argyle socks and whether or not children should be allowed to gnaw on desks.

My ultra Catholic conservative part of my family is coming for Thanksgiving. They just adopted a second child in addition to their own and their first adopted. I'm trying to finish some lineart to print out so I can color them when family comes over. So I'll be doing something I WANT to do and spending time with family at the same time! :D

one week

One week of hell before the convention weekend, then Thanksgiving break.

Today was bad, I don't want to go into boring details. And this whole week is going to be awful! I stayed after school today and I have to stay after wednesday and tuesday/thursday depending. Then on thursday I have an honor society induction ceremony at 7. Thursday also happens to be the night I have to get all my homework done for monday since I'm going to be busy on the weekend! I also have to find one more thing to wear and put together some steampunk accessories before the convention. GRR. STRESS WEEK.

Even though I know the weekend is going to be fun, I'm scared to think about how tired I'm gonna be on monday plus all the sleep I'm going to lose this week. Thanksgiving break should totally start monday.

ughhhhhh

I think I'm gonna cough up a lung. I've been sick with something for three days and now I'm better but I'm coughing like crazy. It could have been swine flu apparently, because most cases of swine flu are mild is what I was told? If that was swine flu, I have to say, it wasn't that big of a deal. I'm not dead yet.

So I have this one week of hell at school then four day weekend. I have so many personal projects I need to catch up on and getting sick killed this weekend for me. I need to get drawing...
