Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 26 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to come to Anime Evolution in Vancouver this June.

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

People not following rules . . . grr . . .

First night back from house-sitting. My clothes will smell less like beagle now. Anyway, turns out I didn't break my brother's computer after all - it was already broken and I just didn't know the trick to making it work again (in this case, unplugging the keyboard, re-plugging, then "pressing F1 to continue"). So yeah, just as they got home I deleted Live Messenger and Firefox to hide the evidence and whatnot - all is well on their end now.

So . . . heck, a lotta people still aren't quite getting how Fan Word submissions work. I'm still getting a lot of single-chapters to stories, tons of personal blogs - the other night I even PMed two specific repeat-offenders to ask them to stop . . . I still think the system's a good one, but we just need to get more education out there. I mean, I'd hate to think I'll at some point in time I'll hafta write up an all-purpose PM of "You're doin' it wrong, read the rules!" to send out to people every time they don't do this right - mostly I just don't wanna hafta send out so many PMs every day. So I dunno, we'll see . . .

Other than that, I need this:

('Cause I got a Shinsengumi Rock Band party comin' up next weekend!)

Random frightening thought . . .

I generally check the Fan Word submissions about two or three times a day: once in the morning, and again in the late afternoon or evening. Sometimes I get bored and just check now and then for kicks, but generally that's about how often I check 'em.

Every day there's usually about twenty or thirty Fan Word submissions.

(Now here's the kicker . . .)

. . . come this Thursday, I'm gonna be out of town for about five days.

I am not looking forward to the pile of submissions I'll need to go through when I get back from Seattle . . . . . haha.

Yeah, all yours, Bossman.

Holy crap, I finished a cosplay!

Before getting into the meat of today's blog, I wanna first off say that yesterday was AMAZING for Fan Words. Yesterday I published five new Fan Words, which is pretty much unheard of so far. A lott...

Fan Words: Behind The Scenes

Have any of you ever wondered what goes into the Fan Words publication process? I mean, in that last thing I wrote I explained how Fan Words worked in general, true, but I didn't really go in-depth about the actual selection (screening?) process....

Fan Words (as far as I understand):

Since Sunfall' asked, I'm gonna try to break down the Fan Words process as best I understand at this point. I know, not the wording you wanna hear from the guy more or less overseeing said-faculty . . . but hey, when your boss live on the extreme...
