Favorites?

Does anyone have any favorite bands? As much as I am trying to get recommendations for books, I'm trying to get recommendations for music. To tell you the truth, I'm getting a little tired of the typical My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park routine. Don't get me wrong, they're both kick-ass bands, it's just that I've mostly tired myself out of listening to them (especially My Chemical Roamance's "The Black Parade"). Please, it doesn't have to really be favorites but just bands that you like. I'll contact you back on what I think of the band after a get around to listening to them and tell you what I think of them. Fair? Well, get started! Comment below so you can help me!! Please? ><

Concert

No, I don't mean like the Nine Inch Nails concert I went to in August up in Kentucky. I'm talking about my band concert. In case none of you know, I play the trombone for my school's band. Yep, been practicing since the sixth grade (that makes it two and a half grades so far, gonna' be three grades once I hit freshman in high school). I think I'm pretty decent, but I won't be playing when I get into high school because I want to be a color guard once I come of age (makes me feel younger than I already am, not that I enjoy the thought). If anyone wants to be there, it starts at 6:00 P.M. in the middle school's gymnasium on December 16, 2008. In other words it's this Tuesday. I don't really expect any of my nearby friends to be there (Hell, I don't expect any of my friends to be there because the ones far away can't even get here without some kind of trouble) but I just thought I'd put the date and time out there for consideration.

I don't think the school band gets enough credit, by the way. All I hear the musical praise go to is the choir, when they barely have anything to worry about. JUST USE WHAT YOU WERE BORN WITH!! But band didn't even get a mention even though we played one of our songs over and over during the pep rally at school during the first nine weeks. No, instead the choir gets the mention even though they're not even on the gym floor like we are!!

Sorry, but I just needed to vent my anger from everything related to choir. Don't get me wrong, I love the music and stuff (I think). I was even in choir when I was in third grade! It's just that it's not enough of a challenge for me and doesn't make me use something that I haven't even used before. Hell, I can play "Rock Band 2" and get a score one how I sang if I wanted to sing that bad (I really do sing in "Rock Band 2" by the way. It's such and addictive game, isn't it?).

I've only found one comment on my "Club?" Post. It didn't give me an answer but instead advice. I'm sorry to say that I was expecting more than just one comment that was hanging from a thread when it came to being remote to my earlier Post. I'm not trying to force or persuade you into commenting, but I'd highly appreciate it if you did. I always put tags on my Posts, so you can just look it up if you don't feel like looking at the Post under this one. Again, please comment and I'll try to get this World together. Thanks!

Club?

I was thinking about making this World a club. Since I don't Post here very often, I thought that I'd let other people have a chance to Post here, too. I never have much to say about music unless another person starts the conversation. Well, that's is where this World takes affect. I was thinking that if there were enough people interested in having this place become a club, then I'd make it that way. It'd be more like a giant conversation with different Posts. I'll Post the rules up later if this World turns out to be a club. Just comment here or PM me if you want this place to be a club. Thanks for reading and possibly considering!
