Bandbandband!!!

This World need a new Post badly...

If the Internet people don't quite know yet, I'm finally a high school freshman and I've been that way for about three or four months now. During my summer break I joined and quit color guard. I quit because of Heather the fall guard instructor. -_- We started off with eight newcomers, now there's only two. Blah to color guard. It's pretty, but not me. Anyways, bandbandbandbandbandbandband. I'm joining marching band next year and I can't wait for it. I'm joining concert (symphonic) band next semester, and I'm so eager to pick up and play my trombone again. Mom said she's going to rent a tenor saxophone for me before next year so I can try to play that for marching band. I doubt I'm going to be able to do it though because so far Erik and Ves are the only two tenor saxophone players in band, but there are supposed to be two more coming in by next year. If I join there will be more tenor saxophone players than there will be trombone players, and that doesn't seem right to me. Tenor saxophones are already loud as hell, and I don't think they need any backup from a trombone player. This is so confusing for me... ><

In other news, Brady is joining winter drum line and Emily and Hal are joining winter guard. Sounds exciting to me, but I won't be seeing them because I'll be in concert band with my trombone! :D Below is a Godly picture of a sax trombone. One of my dream instruments. o_O

Concert

No, I don't mean like the Nine Inch Nails concert I went to in August up in Kentucky. I'm talking about my band concert. In case none of you know, I play the trombone for my school's band. Yep, been practicing since the sixth grade (that makes it two and a half grades so far, gonna' be three grades once I hit freshman in high school). I think I'm pretty decent, but I won't be playing when I get into high school because I want to be a color guard once I come of age (makes me feel younger than I already am, not that I enjoy the thought). If anyone wants to be there, it starts at 6:00 P.M. in the middle school's gymnasium on December 16, 2008. In other words it's this Tuesday. I don't really expect any of my nearby friends to be there (Hell, I don't expect any of my friends to be there because the ones far away can't even get here without some kind of trouble) but I just thought I'd put the date and time out there for consideration.

I don't think the school band gets enough credit, by the way. All I hear the musical praise go to is the choir, when they barely have anything to worry about. JUST USE WHAT YOU WERE BORN WITH!! But band didn't even get a mention even though we played one of our songs over and over during the pep rally at school during the first nine weeks. No, instead the choir gets the mention even though they're not even on the gym floor like we are!!

Sorry, but I just needed to vent my anger from everything related to choir. Don't get me wrong, I love the music and stuff (I think). I was even in choir when I was in third grade! It's just that it's not enough of a challenge for me and doesn't make me use something that I haven't even used before. Hell, I can play "Rock Band 2" and get a score one how I sang if I wanted to sing that bad (I really do sing in "Rock Band 2" by the way. It's such and addictive game, isn't it?).

I've only found one comment on my "Club?" Post. It didn't give me an answer but instead advice. I'm sorry to say that I was expecting more than just one comment that was hanging from a thread when it came to being remote to my earlier Post. I'm not trying to force or persuade you into commenting, but I'd highly appreciate it if you did. I always put tags on my Posts, so you can just look it up if you don't feel like looking at the Post under this one. Again, please comment and I'll try to get this World together. Thanks!

Album

I can't believe it! Umbrella Tree is already making a new album! I haven't even gotten their newest mastered one!! Umbrella Tree is a local Nashville band that needs some serious fans. I'm not saying that they don't have fans, it's just that they need more fans. You see, their work is good but I can never find anyone who knows about them. Their currently released albums are "What Kind of Books Do You Read?" and "The Church and the Hospital". The second mentioned one is the "demo" I have. Now I visited their MySpace today and saw that their working on another album called "The Letter 'C'". It is said to release on New Year's Day of 2009. How do bands manage to do that? Instead of an image, I'm giving you people a link to their MySpace. Here it is and I hope you end up loving this band as much as I do!
