Whoo!!

I went to Best Buy today and bought two albums. One being "Chinese Democracy" by Guns N' Roses (I've only gotten to track four but it's pretty good so far) and the other being "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" by My Chemical Romance. I love "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" especially because even though it's My Chemical Romance's first album, it goes on unnoticed and gets covered up by the last two albums "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" and "The Black Parade." Speaking of "The Black Parade", stop listening to it for a while. I'm pretty sure that My Chemical Romance is getting tired of playing "Welcome to the Black Parade" for two years in a row. Get some real music and listen to their first album. GO NOW!!!

Album

I can't believe it! Umbrella Tree is already making a new album! I haven't even gotten their newest mastered one!! Umbrella Tree is a local Nashville band that needs some serious fans. I'm not saying that they don't have fans, it's just that they need more fans. You see, their work is good but I can never find anyone who knows about them. Their currently released albums are "What Kind of Books Do You Read?" and "The Church and the Hospital". The second mentioned one is the "demo" I have. Now I visited their MySpace today and saw that their working on another album called "The Letter 'C'". It is said to release on New Year's Day of 2009. How do bands manage to do that? Instead of an image, I'm giving you people a link to their MySpace. Here it is and I hope you end up loving this band as much as I do!

Post

I'm mostly just making this Post to get more views for this World, and because I'm highly bored. It's pretty quiet inside the house that I'm currently in, and that's a little bit disturbing for me. I kinda' wish I brought my PSP. By the way, I'm trading my PSP in for an iPod, is that a good idea? I mean, the back of it, the part that holds the battery in, kinda' broken... I mean, it still works and will hold on and all, it's just that the prongs that made it stick a lot better broke off somewhere into the abyss of my messenger bag of a backpack (no I'm serous, I have a messenger bag as a backpack. Yeah, those are coming back into style. XD)

What band should I Post about...? Okay, so how about Tokio Hotel, the band that got popular in about one year. Yeah, my friend Auman got me into them, and I probably would've only just now heard of them without her. XD But really, they're a great band, not really heard of fully but pretty good. I prefer their German songs, and I really don't care for their song "Scream" (a bit too repetitive for me), but I'm just weird that way. Oh, yeah that's so American of me. Which reminds me, I always wondered how the lead-singer, Bill Kaulitz, can sing so well in English but whenever he talks, his accent is so thick that I sometimes can't understand what he's saying. Oh, the wonders of music. My band teacher always said that music is the international language. I guess he's right, like he always said he was. XD Okay, so I need to lay off that smiley for a while. <_<

Stuck

Okay, so this World needs another Post, and I've been racking my brain for something to post about that isn't totally irrelevant to this World and not be something that people don't even want to read. So, I've had the song "Helicopter" by Bloc Party stuck in my head all day, literally. I was just wondering what song you currently have stuck in your head. Keep in mind that I want to hear your songs all the time because I always like to have my musical taste grow. This basically means that you can even put a comment on this Post two years from now. Keep commenting and I'll see what I think of the song! Thanks in advance!

Sad

I'm listening to a Rammstein song right now, which I doubt any of you guys know about. Seriously, though, Rammstein has been out since I was born (1994) and most people at school still don't know about them. I really think that some bands need to be thought about, such as Radiohead, Nirvana, and Joseph Arthur. Those three bands are only from the top of my head. Here's my explanation...
Explanations-
Radiohead-A well-known band just that I don't think that the people my own age (thirteen to fourteen-years-old) respect them enough. Just listen to their song "Paranoid Android" or watch their concert tape over it and you'll see how much more respect they deserve. I feel sorry for Thom Yorke, though; he has to sing the song "Creep" way too much, most just because Jonny Greenwood hit a couple of notes in the middle of the song with some hard strumming. Oh, no! Can't do that!! Now all he does whenever he sings that song is hold the microphone out towards the audience and let them sing the song by themselves. Barely a word is uttered from his mouth anymore about that song because he hates it so much. Seriously, he even vowed not to play the song in a concert ever again. Good choice, Thom! And yet that's their most popular song of my age group all because it was on "Rock Band". God, that's annoying! ><
Nirvana-There's one boy I met at school (not really met but just know a little about) that likes Nirvana. Hell, he even got a friend of his together and made him play "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with him at the talent show. I absolutely loved that song until I figured out that it was because of that song that Kurt Cobain killed himself. He, like Thom Yorke with "Creep", got tired of singing the song. The only difference between Thom Yorke with "Creep" and Kurt Cobain with "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is that Thom Yorke didn't overdose on heroin because of "Creep" and his girlfriend. Though Kurt Cobain did. My seventh grade math teacher, Mrs. Baxter, loved to listen to Nirvana as well and decided to play one of their more popular albums, "In Utero". It was on the track "All Apologies" and as I was listening to it I couldn't help but overhear the boy that so-said "liked Nirvana" say that he hated the song. How childish! He probably didn't even bother trying to get the message behind the song, either! Oh, what a lovely world we live in, ne?! ^^
Joseph Arthur-Probably the second least-known band that I listen to (the first being Umbrella Tree, I'll get into them in a later Post). He deserves a lot more than he has. He's highly appreciative of what he has, despite his current position. My father, who got me into Joseph Arthur in the first place, told me that he was starting to make up lyrics that most of the record companies didn't understand. He didn't give me a specific song (that I remember) that had related to this lyric confusion but I believed him seeing as how he's always up-to-date with the bands that he's really into. Not only is it that barely any of the record companies understand his lyrics anymore, but that he just keeps releasing albums about as much truth as Brighteyes (another band whose lead-singer sounds a lot like Joseph Arthur in my opinion). Truth like this only gets pushed away by the younger teens, them prefering to listen to rap or metal. I have nothing against metal (but I hate today's rap music), but I'd much rather listen to the truth in a rock genre than have to listen to Slipknot scream into their microphone and end up like Jesse Leach from Killswitch Engage (he blew his voice out after many shows before he left the band for good). Really people, start listening to Joseph Arthur, Brighteyes, and Refused. Something good for a change! Even "Dumb" or "All Apologies" by Nirvana will suffice with me!! Now go out to YouTube, iTunes, Napster, or whatever else you may use for listening to music and check out these bands! GO!!
