Welcome to the Fox's Den, the personal blog of the artist, snow fox.

I've been around here with theOtaku since before it was even an anime website, and officially on myOtaku since 2003-08-01, occasionally contributing to the network in a (humble, yet) high-profile way. The new Version Vibrant Spikey is my creation, for instance. Please feel free to ask me any questions about Art of Otaku as well, as I was one of the contributing co-authors of that publication.
Hope you enjoy your stay, thanks for visiting!
Oh, it's been rainy and gray lately. I don't actually mind, though... it's something I'm used to from living in Pittsburgh. Hopefully it won't stay like this for too long, though.

Tonight is going to be fun! It's "Performing Object Night" - where all the sculpture students get together and show off their moving/kinetic sculptures. I didn't make one... but I'm going to perform as part of someone else's kinetic sculpture. And there will be snacks, and alcohol (of course). Should be a fun night all around.
How small-town does "Dungog" sound? If you said "quite small-town," or something like that, you'd be absolutely right. On our roadtrip, we stayed in Dungog, which is relatively near the Barrington Tops National Park. This little area, however, isn't Dungog, it's another small town nearby. We went to a winery there, to do some wine tasting. The man who runs the winery at Camyr Allyn is a wonderful man. He ended up giving our little group a bottle of wine - for free - and it was one that was discontinued, or completely out of stock. It was lovely.
And it was lovely to get away from the big city, and see some countryside.

Today I've got another picture from my roadtrip, for you. It was taken while we were bushwalking through Barrington Tops National Park. It was actually a little unpleasant, because there were leeches. I got bitten by one. It was very small, thank goodness. Leeches are faster than you'd think they'd be... very unpleasant. We had to tuck our pants legs into our socks! Very stylish. Anyway. Here's a stream...

I've already posted most of my "iconic" Australia photos... so we can start getting into some of the more odd, idiosyncratic ones that I've taken... This one is also from my bushwalking trip a couple weekends back. I love the trees here, I've spent quite a lot of time drawing them.

Another image from the long past roadtrip, for today. The beach at Harrington, a small fishing town near Port Macquarie. It was beautiful, and there were very few people there - it was like the beginning of the world, all just for you. Has anyone seen Across the Universe (if you haven't, and you like The Beatles or musicals, you must see this movie now)? It made me want to sit there and sing "Girl" - like the opening scene in the movie.
