Welcome to the Fox's Den, the personal blog of the artist, snow fox.

I've been around here with theOtaku since before it was even an anime website, and officially on myOtaku since 2003-08-01, occasionally contributing to the network in a (humble, yet) high-profile way. The new Version Vibrant Spikey is my creation, for instance. Please feel free to ask me any questions about Art of Otaku as well, as I was one of the contributing co-authors of that publication.

Hope you enjoy your stay, thanks for visiting!

ANZAC Day

So I missed a couple days. My internet connection has been a little spotty, hopefully that doesn't happen too often...

Anywho. Friday was ANZAC (Australia New Zealand Corps) Day, a day for memorial services and honoring the war veterans. Here's a photo from the veterans march.

Little Blue

Have another picture from the aquarium! The Little Blue penguin is the smallest and most vocal species of penguin. Cute and blue, too.

A Visit to the Great Barrier Reef

...exhibit at the Sydney Aquarium.

I heard people pointing out Nemo and friends in at least three different languages.

Moon Vision

The moon waxes and wanes in the opposite direction, here, as compared to home in the northern hemisphere. The other day I got paranoid that that wasn't true, and I had forgotten which way it was supposed to wax and wane... so I had to google it. In the northern hemisphere, the crescent first appears on the right side, and slowly grows towards the left. Here, the crescent first appears on the left side, and slowly grows towards the right. The moon below is waxing towards the right... here in the southern hemisphere.

Performing Object Night

Last night was performing object night at the School of Arts, Sydney Uni, for sculpture majors. The basic idea was to make a kinetic, or moving sculpture. There were some pretty awesome things there, the night was fantastic. One of the wonderful things about live performances and performing objects in general... is that sometimes they do things that you don't intend. What do you imagine was the "goal" of the sculpture below?
