Welcome to the Fox's Den, the personal blog of the artist, snow fox.

I've been around here with theOtaku since before it was even an anime website, and officially on myOtaku since 2003-08-01, occasionally contributing to the network in a (humble, yet) high-profile way. The new Version Vibrant Spikey is my creation, for instance. Please feel free to ask me any questions about Art of Otaku as well, as I was one of the contributing co-authors of that publication.

Hope you enjoy your stay, thanks for visiting!

Fresh

I just... don't get tired of these Bondi pictures. I may be going there again this weekend, as a band I like is playing at a festival there.

My nose is a little runny and I have a vague, funny feeling at the back of my throat... as if a cold is coming on. I've been drinking fluids all day - a lot of OJ - and I'm going to bed early today...

Signage

Did I mention how much I love the road signs in Australia? I think I did, but I just want to reemphasize.

Fading, blazing light

I took this photo at 4:45. Used to be, this scene would come at 5:24. Before daylight savings, it'd come at 7:20 (ish? I don't actually remember, but I think when I got here, the sun didn't completely set until... 8:00pm?).

What do you do when you're bored?

What do you do when you're lonely?

Pet shop of horrors

Tourist shops can be all kinds of tacky, weird, and wonderful... for photos. This is from a tourist shop in Bondi. I liked the juxtaposition...

I recently finished Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates (FFCC RoF) for the DS. I would not much recommend FFCC RoF single player mode in terms of story (although it certainly isn't the worst RPG story line I've encountered, it really isn't so bad, just not really enough to recommend it), but I found the game mechanics fun. There are added elements of platforming and puzzling in FFCC RoF that weren't in the original; it's mostly fun to figure out what character you need to do what task in a long chain of tasks relating to special abilities... but sometimes it isn't clear what you have to do next. Boss battles are a little boring, at times, and just about every boss can be defeated simply with patience and running around and stabbing it in the back repeatedly. There are some exceptions that involve a little more interactivity, but that's the general rule. I'd like to play FFCC RoF with friends, as I'm sure it's the same as with the original FFCC, the multiplayer mode is the best aspect.

Bondi

Another picture from Bondi, the other day :] One thing I'd like to point out is that I'm in the southern hemisphere, and Sydney is not in the tropics. Winter is coming, and temperatures are dropping. It was rather nice the other day, but it was not a summer day, and there were very few people at Bondi. Whereas, in the summer, sometimes there are so many people that you can't really see the sand anymore. It was nice to see Bondi without all the tourists there. Bondi gets a bad rap from the locals as being an ugly tourist beach, but... it has nice little nooks and corners, especially when there are fewer people around. I'd still like to get out to some other beaches, though...
