hmmm......lessee....I'm 14 and I was born in New Jersey and I think we moved back and forth from NYC and Little ferry (a town in NJ) a bunch of times....but I did go to preschool in nj. Then I went to live in Nyc from kindergarten to 7th grade then I'm back here in Little ferry XD (I really like nyc SOOO much more than little ferry, but I love my new friends here). I'm full asian XD, 12.5% CHinese and 87.5% filipina
I'm in the 9th grade and I started drawing anime in the 6th grade (when I actually foudn out what anime was XDDD) but before that I liked anime, but I didn't know it was anime (sailor moon-pre-k, pokemon-kindergarten, cardcaptors-1st and 2nd grade)
I live with my mom and I'm an only child. I don't feel too close to her. My dad died when I was 1 and my mom never remarried. So my friends are really important to me, but I don't think they quite know how much.
I get jelous too of how gud ppl are at drawing XD. But I never had an anime crush and I don't really get why ppl hate some "annoying" anime characters so immensly XD
My friends call me stubborn, weird, random, and at times violent (not too much tho >.>) I'm shy around new people, but really hyper around people I really know.
I'm not very athletic and I suck at almost every sport out there, but that doesn't stop me from trying XD I took a little less than 13 minutes to run a mile XDDD
I like almost any genre of music except for heavy metal and hardcore rap, but I mostly like alternative, j-pop, and j-rock ^__^

Hm, it's been so long I don't think I can remember what it was like to be 15. o_0 Lol. J/k. I do. Kinda. Hah. My own little sister isn't quite so little...she's at least three inches taller than I am. I think she's almost six feet tall. Lol. She calls me a nerd for loving anime and manga. Even if it's just setting up the technical side of things rather than the actual artwork itself. I think it's only natural to be a little jealous of other people. It's more about the feeling of admiration/respect...sometimes it's difficult to distinguish between the two...afterall we are emotional creatures with various views about this and that...art especially. I know I want to be better at what I do when I see somebody that inspires me in someway. Hehe. So you're totally right about how other people can motivate you to do better. Well, thought I'd share a few things about who I am too. Dun worry about the whole obsessed with manga/anime thing. You're not the only one. ^^ I dun think I can live without manga or anime. o_o! Pokemon was DEFINITELY my first, no, i stand corrected, Sailor Moon was, i lived in japan when i was a kid (about 2-4) and my older sister who was seven years older than me, loved sailor moon, so i grew up with the dolls, and the moon palace, and screaming "prism power!", but pokemon was definitely my first obession, soon after DBZ, and then yugioh...and then it just went on a giant rollercoaster that has yet to end ;) (i personally think it's hilarious that at the age of 10, my parents believed my anime love was only a "phase" i was going through, i wonder what they think now, almost seven years later!! lol)
art the one thing i can count on, plus, i feel like i learn every day. i love looking at urs, teapot's, android's, sakurie's, and many other's art for inspiration and drive to help me go on. i really think we all influence each other in a different way, and u girl, definitely have extreme talent. i'm positive u can go as far as u want to go in the art industry. (hey, maybe we'll meet later on, if i make it ;D)
i know this was actually said in the middle of the post, but my brain is weird where i remember the first and last things before the middle...i blame my history teacher for making me read that way! but as far as the medications go, it's really all up to u. i know what some people have considered "depression" probably describes how i am about half of the time. but i personally don't think i'm depressed, and if u don't like the way they're making u feel, then don't take them! i think people are beginning to rely on meds when they can fix the problem themselves! (of course, there are some things u can't fix, but i think depression is definitely something u can) so just "attempt" to be positive, and try to have fun with everything, and just remember (i don't know if this helps u, but it certainty puts a bit of perspective for me), it can always be WORSE. always. lol

Uh...I hate medicine...but I am so not getting into that conversation again, ha ha ha. one time I was used as a guinea pig for pills when I was depressed and suicidal. They had to lock me up in the Specail Rooms of the hospital...aka...pyscho house. It was scary and weird and I always felt sleepy and like an animal. They would like...arrange our meals. Wouldnt let us wear shoes and what not and what not, ha ha ha. I wont go on about that...too much bad memories.

I used to have to take medicine for depression too lol. It made me hungry all the time and I got so fat. I used to just not take it though, we had a ton! Like, 500 pills in a bottle. I was supposed to take them twice a day, but eh, you know how it is. I didn't have a good excuse, I just hate pills
I get a little envious of people who draw better than me, but it quickly goes away once I realize that everyone has their own style and talent. I know I don't draw that bad, so I just try to keep that in mind. You shouldn't get jealous either, missy!

I'm really sorry about what happened to your dad.. and I hope your relationship with your mother grows really close someday. I don't know what I would do without my mother. She practically keeps the whole family from going insane... Although there are times she feels she's going insane too. -_-

hmmm......lessee....I'm 14 and I was born in New Jersey and I think we moved back and forth from NYC and Little ferry (a town in NJ) a bunch of times....but I did go to preschool in nj. Then I went to live in Nyc from kindergarten to 7th grade then I'm back here in Little ferry XD (I really like nyc SOOO much more than little ferry, but I love my new friends here). I'm full asian XD, 12.5% CHinese and 87.5% filipina
I'm in the 9th grade and I started drawing anime in the 6th grade (when I actually foudn out what anime was XDDD) but before that I liked anime, but I didn't know it was anime (sailor moon-pre-k, pokemon-kindergarten, cardcaptors-1st and 2nd grade)
I live with my mom and I'm an only child. I don't feel too close to her. My dad died when I was 1 and my mom never remarried. So my friends are really important to me, but I don't think they quite know how much.
I get jelous too of how gud ppl are at drawing XD. But I never had an anime crush and I don't really get why ppl hate some "annoying" anime characters so immensly XD
My friends call me stubborn, weird, random, and at times violent (not too much tho >.>) I'm shy around new people, but really hyper around people I really know.
I'm not very athletic and I suck at almost every sport out there, but that doesn't stop me from trying XD I took a little less than 13 minutes to run a mile XDDD
I like almost any genre of music except for heavy metal and hardcore rap, but I mostly like alternative, j-pop, and j-rock ^__^
I hope its not too long and boring >.>

Hm, it's been so long I don't think I can remember what it was like to be 15. o_0 Lol. J/k. I do. Kinda. Hah. My own little sister isn't quite so little...she's at least three inches taller than I am. I think she's almost six feet tall. Lol. She calls me a nerd for loving anime and manga. At least she knows what to get me for birthdays and stuff. Your appearance does say a lot about your multi-cultural background. I think that's pretty cool. I'm...er...100% Native American, dun tell nobody. >_> Hardly anybody save those who'll bother to read my comment will know that now. OMG! I think I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to school. Somedays I just dun wanna get up but then I remember that it's kindamaybeyeah important if I want to become a game programmer, animator and stuff. I was thinking of going into illustration/animation after I finish my last year of college. I would like to one day work in animation. Even if it's just setting up the technical side of things rather than the actual artwork itself. I think it's only natural to be a little jealous of other people. That sort of "jealousy" is a good thing. It's more about the feeling of admiration/respect...sometimes it's difficult to distinguish between the two...afterall we are emotional creatures with various views about this and that...art especially. I know I want to be better at what I do when I see somebody that inspires me in someway. Hehe. So you're totally right about how other people can motivate you to do better. Well, thought I'd share a few things about who I am too. Dun worry about the whole obsessed with manga/anime thing. You're not the only one. ^^ I dun think I can live without manga or anime. o_o! I didn't think I'd still be watching anime...12 years later...haha.
Now we know a lot more about Mari-chan. Thanks for letting us get to know ya better :D

o wow!! i agree w/teapot, no need to take down ur pic, i think u look great!! (u know, in a non-lesbian sort of way, lol). it's nice to put a face to u now (i feel so bad, i think i've only posted one picture of myself, and that was in a neji copslay, and that was two years ago, so...yah, not very accurate!! lol), i love trying to visulize people when i'm on the internet.
OMG! ur fifteen!! i feel so old...i'm going to be seventeen soon....(it's horrible, i my japanese class, one of my friends is 13!! THIRTEEN!! O_O, she makes me feel old, and costantly reminds me of it!! lol)
i'm the same, i'm a really obssesive person, and i have a bad habit of randomly spurting out anime scenes, or humming the theme songs in the middle of class (the worst was when i was humming the "azumanga daioh" theme song), and my friend and i plan on going on an anime "man-hunt" for gorgeous guys that look like anime characters. (maybe u should join ;D)
AMEN! i'm horrible when it comes to talking to people, much better at expressing myself on the internet. people sometimes scare me in the real world, or rather, i scare them (that more than often seems to be the case, as one of my friends says i have a "horribly sadistic, yet strangely humerous" sense of humor and fun, not sure if i should take that as a compliment) lol
Pokemon was DEFINITELY my first, no, i stand corrected, Sailor Moon was, i lived in japan when i was a kid (about 2-4) and my older sister who was seven years older than me, loved sailor moon, so i grew up with the dolls, and the moon palace, and screaming "prism power!", but pokemon was definitely my first obession, soon after DBZ, and then yugioh...and then it just went on a giant rollercoaster that has yet to end ;) (i personally think it's hilarious that at the age of 10, my parents believed my anime love was only a "phase" i was going through, i wonder what they think now, almost seven years later!! lol)
art the one thing i can count on, plus, i feel like i learn every day. i love looking at urs, teapot's, android's, sakurie's, and many other's art for inspiration and drive to help me go on. i really think we all influence each other in a different way, and u girl, definitely have extreme talent. i'm positive u can go as far as u want to go in the art industry. (hey, maybe we'll meet later on, if i make it ;D)
i know this was actually said in the middle of the post, but my brain is weird where i remember the first and last things before the middle...i blame my history teacher for making me read that way! but as far as the medications go, it's really all up to u. i know what some people have considered "depression" probably describes how i am about half of the time. but i personally don't think i'm depressed, and if u don't like the way they're making u feel, then don't take them! i think people are beginning to rely on meds when they can fix the problem themselves! (of course, there are some things u can't fix, but i think depression is definitely something u can) so just "attempt" to be positive, and try to have fun with everything, and just remember (i don't know if this helps u, but it certainty puts a bit of perspective for me), it can always be WORSE. always. lol
wow, i certainly typed alot, i like to talk online almost as much as i do for real (just imagine how my bf feels, lol), it was great hearing about u, this was enlightening.

Aw, you are pretty to? Geez...not only do you draw really really good but your super pretty! And so is that baby...grrr, ha ha ha ha! As you can tell I get jealous to...one of the reasons of why...I didnt really want to be your friend in the begining, ha ha ha. I have always envied you! Until I was just like, whatever I want them to be my friend now...like a year later, ha ha ha ha. But yeah I'm super glad we're friends and super glad you are going to be drawing ME a picture! ACK!!! Ha ha ha ha.
Uh...I hate medicine...but I am so not getting into that conversation again, ha ha ha. one time I was used as a guinea pig for pills when I was depressed and suicidal. They had to lock me up in the Specail Rooms of the hospital...aka...pyscho house. It was scary and weird and I always felt sleepy and like an animal. They would like...arrange our meals. Wouldnt let us wear shoes and what not and what not, ha ha ha. I wont go on about that...too much bad memories.
ha ha ha, I tend to fall in love with a lot of anime guys also! Agh! Too many cool ones! they are just so much better than real guys...in the way they act and stuff. like Orochimaru! AWWW~! I would join his side any day.
I to...am WAY more popular on this site than I am in real life. In real life, pfft! I have like two friends...I dont go to school, I just sit at my house all day doing nothing but playing video games and drawing my comic. Which I hope becomes very sucessful! You know, the strange thing is I mostly knew all of that already, except for what you look like. Which you're lucky, by the way, because I LOVE exotic skin tones. XD; Probably because I'm paler than a vampire most of the time. I need to get out more.
As for the depression medicine... eh... I would've pushed to find a different solution before going to the meds, but I guess to each her own, right? ^^; I'm just stubborn that way, I guess... >_>;

Well let me tell you something, Mariel, that was one promising profile! I am so tired of going to people's sites and all they talk about is how "emo" they are, lol. It's so annoying, but atlast I have come across a truly interesting person! I'm glad I subscribed to you hah hah hah anyways, I like your race. Like, it's fascinating, seriously. I love learning about cultures and what not. I also like your picture, you are really pretty!
I used to have to take medicine for depression too lol. It made me hungry all the time and I got so fat. I used to just not take it though, we had a ton! Like, 500 pills in a bottle. I was supposed to take them twice a day, but eh, you know how it is. I didn't have a good excuse, I just hate pills
I get a little envious of people who draw better than me, but it quickly goes away once I realize that everyone has their own style and talent. I know I don't draw that bad, so I just try to keep that in mind. You shouldn't get jealous either, missy!
And why are you going to take the picture down in a few days? You should leave it up!
