Stupid people like them get caught in their own stupid little web of lies.
Her life probaly sucks.
Gawd i can't do anything cause I'm on a school compooter;
dangit.
depends for me - sometimes - i have a lightbulb click and get one done in maybe an hour or two - but generally - hours O.o - just for the drawing - then colouring takes more time depending on how lazy i feel ^^' - although if i mostly - it'd take days so i dont count hours ^_^'
How fast are you? 11 hours sound reasonable for a complicated piece of art - actually very reasonable - cause i would take ten times longer at times (and maybe need a million yrs for something that good ;P)
glad that they took down the work that aint theirs ^_^ - - justice prevails! ;P
Looks like her cover's been blown. She deleted her stolen works so her account might not be terminated. But I don't think she'll be trying that again. Great job on spotting this one :)
Well I did put my artwork on Gaia before, but I used a watermark because I know there are a gazillion people on Gaia and I didn't want to risk it. I also put some stuff on myspace, but those are pretty cool. They aren't as popular as the stuff I put on here.
And then the fact that she said this one drawing took 11 hours blew me away as well. And not in the good way, LOL. I mean, it is a great drawing, very professional, but a drawing like that (done digitally) without a complicated background would probably only take about 2-3 hours... Naming random image editing software to make your claim sound convincing really doesn't help, especially if she mentioned Paint like you said.
Well, I don't know. If an art thief is on the Otaku and takes your art, then it would be easy to identify their thieving. And isn't this the only place you share your art? I don't think you have much to worry about, Andrea. :D
OH SNAP, thank you so much! I wonder why I never thought of searching those sites.. OTL
Yes, I understand how people's art can change over time, but for someone's style to bound around so much in each drawing? I don't know about that. Trying different things is a possibility but still, you know?
Thanks for findin' them, bic. I'm so glad we have evidence now. ; U ; /eternally grateful
Someone actually posted a link of one of her cc pics and it led to a weird site, but she deleted the comment. It's so obvious she is stealing and i have asked her nicely to stop, but she went on to be a meany head to me>.< I tried looking for those pics and they are quite rare, but i'm not gonna give up. This is really ticking me off,but more so that ppl are SUPPORTING her! I'm currently trying to look for that one pic, no luck so farTT_TT I'm glad you realize this problem and are spreading the word. If there is any other way i can help i'll be glad to! She must be stopped!>.<
I just looked at the pictures and what really gives it away is that they said they colored one of the pictures using GIMP and paint. No freakin way are those colored with such amatuer programs. I dropped my jaw when I read that. I don't know why people do that. Like, what pleasure do they get out of it? Are they that desperate for attention that they just have to steal others to get all the credit? maybe I should start putting watermarks on my pictrues now.
u sure it aint their's? i mean my art changes drastically at times .well mainly coloring and lineart - but thats cause im trying different things -maybe that artist is doing the same thing?
well will help look out for the originals - i dont like art thieves either

I understand what you're saying, but for me , the only thing that ever really stays the same is the hair and facial features. Head shape and bodies are usually done differently, although I do tend to go for curved lines, as opposed to straight ones. I did notice she tended to switch from one to another, so I guess that would be a major indicator, cause line shapes aren't entirely voluntary...
All the styles are different. I mean, even half-blind it would easy to tell... :(
When someone draws something, they usually keep the way they draw bodies, eyes, heads, faces, etc. consistent. The coloring is usually consistent as well with different styles like soft cell shading ("Sitting with YoU"), a soft painted look ("The RUiNs").. I mean, geez. D:
I definitely know what you mean. It just ticks me off SO SO SO much when I see art thieves. Actually, I'm sort of paranoid about it. If there is a member with a really strange username who is posting for the first time with some amazing piece, I'm always so suspicious. I don't trust most of 'em. *sighs* I just get so pissed when people are like that.
I'm technically half-blind, so I can't spot many inconsistencies in anything XD Do you mean, she draws in different styles? Cause I noticed all of her mouths are drawn differently. And the eyes.
I'm going to guess that you get so upset because while the artist actually spent time on doing it, the thief is stealing what the other worked hard on. Even things that I don't put too much effort in still look OK, and I still like them, so if someone stole them I'd be highly upset. :(
I'm happy your taking the approach of letting others know about this person, and not saying anything extremely bad about them like others do. For instance, there was a thief a while back and tons of people were commenting on their portfolio saying how they were a thief (of course) and that they should die, burn in hell, blah blah blah. It's not that serious. I mean, it's serious, because the artist's work is being stolen, but it's not that serious to where you need to cuss someone out saying they need to die and go to hell. That to me is a WTF moment. smh...
I also don't like it when the thief says "Oh, didn't know. I'll take it down, sorry." or "Whoa whoa whoa! Okay, I'm sorry..." Because I'm sure they DID know, and I know they are NOT sorry. The only reason they have the gall to do what they do is because they do it behind a computer screen. That's what separates them from feeling "guilt" or "shame". What's the point if you're not face to face with that person? What can they do to you? *shakes head*
Then there are those who simply do it because they WANT a reaction out of people... Oh, my~ v.v
R A W R~ *from myO: Yes, listing... I have a better chance at learning Japanese than I do Korean with the resources I have. O me O my~*. . .
Oh my, I'll keep my eyes peeled for this one. I've seen quite a few art thieves on this site, too. Seriously, they should really think about what they do before they post. Some of the inconsistencies in the drawings are just SO blatantly OBVIOUS. I'll try to help you out on this, art thieves piss me off as well. )<

@15385bic:
I'm actually really slow, but I always hear people sayin' "This took me about 2-4 hours" and such... I was pretty much assuming how long it took. OTL
Well, since the work is stolen then we can assume she was lying about the time it took.
So are you slow at drawing as well? How long does it take you to draw something? It takes me about... 5 hours on something. Or longer. OTL

Wow, another outbreak of thieves :(
Reminds me of 2007 or something, when this site had a whole bunch of 'em coming in.
I think if it really bothers you, you should tell the admins. But I guess evidence would be needed... :<
