Hey All, my real name is Dave, and I originally joined theO as a wallpaper maker, but now I've been more focused on fan art and improving my work. I've been a member for about 10 years now, including various name changes lol.

As for my anime tastes, I'm a huge fan of sci-fi, action/shounen, and mecha. My first ever complete manga series was Love Hina, which I still rank as my favorite, and its also what pushed me to draw more. Akamatsu-sensei's Negima is also highly ranked on my list and also acts as a source of inspiration (although I prefer his style from Volumes 13 & 14 of Love Hina a little more lol).

Currently, I'm reading Bleach and UQ Holder!. I haven't been following much anime that's been airing lately since most of it is seemingly loli fanservice-type shows. I try and follow any Gundam series that I can, and I was actually impressed with the Build Fighters series; it focuses more on camaraderies and rivalries that are surprisingly well written. It's pretty childish, but I get a kick out of all the easter eggs hidden within it. I also own a variety of Miyazaki's movies due to their charm and underlying messages about our world and the environment.

I also game a little bit when I'm not drawing or at work/school; I mainly play RPGs and fighters, but I have dabbled into 3rd person shooters (Vanquish, Crysis series), some action adventure games, and racing (Gran Turismo 5). I also enjoy RTSs, but I pretty much only play Starcraft II on and off.

As for school/employment, I am currently employed with the electronics retailer The Source up in Canada, and I'm attending college to become a Medical Lab Technician. I'll be done around October 2015, then I can work in any diagnostic lab/hospital to help diagnose diseases!

Cheers,

Inphinity

Slacking Off on the Submissions...Again

Well, I know I've been kinda inactive AGAIN, and I apologize; it's my bad, since I let Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and Starcraft 2 get in the way, lol. I've realized that video games have been chewing up what little weekend free time I have, and I'd like to change that when midterms are finally over. I was also asked by one of my friends (who also happens to be someone I'm interested in, lol) that I should draw comics for our campus newspaper IMPRINT, since most of the comics on it make no sense to us science students, and are probably inside jokes for the journalism staff. The drawings are also probably done in less than an hour on paint, although there is one anime inspired one, but in drawing style only, not humor sadly. Anyway, this may have sparked some creativity in me, and we'll see how things go from here; I'd like to get something off for tomorrow, but we advanced in our baseball (slowpitch really) playoffs, so I may have many games tomorrow on top of studying for a midterm *sigh*

The girl I mentioned above also mentioned she likes to write short stories, so if stuff wounds up going well who knows? Might wound up pulling a Bakuman:P

At Home on Vacation with Nowhere to go, lol

Well, I think my hiatus may finally be over. Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone! It was a good day, and it happened twice, lol. On my actual b-day I went for dinner and a few drinks with friends from work, and on the second day the family I was living with bought me some steaks, b-day cake, and a gift (The Last Airbender for my DS; surprisingly its pretty good, even for a game based on a movie). The rest of last week was me finishing up my work report for the university, and I finally got back home on Sunday. Had myself a job interview Monday morning, and wound up getting offered the position later on that day. So now I'm set for my final co-op placement, once I get some paper work done.

So now I'm home til September 11, but I haven't drawn anything yet since Blazblue Continuum Shift (the sequel to Blazlue) is currently a big distraction, and so is FF XIII. So we'll see how the rest of my vacation goes submission-wise. Anywho, just lettin' y'all know I'm still alive:P

P.S. Just noticed this little blog of mine has come to 1000 views! Thanks everyone!

The Gentle Side

Hey all, sorry for being a day late, but here's Ken's mom, Natusko!

Natsuko

Age: 42
Gender: Female
Eye/Hair Colour: Blue/Jet Black
Favorite Colour: PURPLE
Birthdate: September 15th
Blood Type: B+
Likes: Cooking, Cleaning, Gardening, Kids, Katanas, Kendo, teasing Ken
Dislikes: Giant Robots, Owner of the Cross-Town Kendo Club

Mother to Ken, Wife to Takeshi, Natsuko has a split personality issue, albeit a mild one. She is USUALLY found around the house cooking, cleaning, or running classes in their backyard dojo. Her most favorite hobby is gardening since it passes most of her stay-at-home-mom lifestyle time, which makes her especially protective of her flowers. A possible inside joke of the series will be Zack's mehca attempts destroying her flower beds, usually with Ken not far behind in an attempt to stop Zack, and then both get killed for it (figuratively of course:P). Her devilish side really only creeps up when her flowers get destroyed, however other things (to be determined) can set her off as well. She also has a long-standing grudge with the cross-town kendo club, since he's a bit of an asshole (think the Miyagi vs Cobra-Kan dilemma?), and one chapter will involve an assault on the house at Haloween, when the whole roster happens to be there as well.

P.S. Might be on hiatus this week; I'm going home for Canada Day, and I've got to drop some resumes at research hospitals for my next co-op placement, so we'll see how that affects my time.

The Proud Father?

Hey everyone! I actually got around to finishing Takeshi up this weekend, and so the bio gets posted once that happens!

Takeshi

Age: 45
Gender: Male
Eye/Hair Colour: Green/Dirty Blonde
Favorite Colour: RED
Birthdate: July 10th
Blood Type: B+
Likes: Woodworking, tea, BBQ, the great outdoors, escrima, Jiu Jistu, finishing moves
Dislikes: Rap, Hip-Hop, Pop, and Country music, whiney kids

Takeshi is Ken's father and owner of a big time construction business, and is often away on business for meeting with clients and learning new drafting software. When he is at home he spends his time eating Ken and his mother out of house-and-home, watching TV, making wooden furniture and such, beating Ken into the ground in sparring matches, and coming up with new finishing moves. he uses the style of escrima (Philipino stick fighting) for weapons combat and MMA for hand-to-hand. Seamingly invulnerable and immortal, he has survived any uber attack thrown at him by his son and daughter, and also his tempermental wife. The odd finishing move he comes up with can actually destroy a small town, but for the most part Natsuko (his wife and owner of the family dojo) usually beats him to a pulp.

The Mechanized Division

Alright, after a two-week apparent submission hiatus, I'm back with another bio, this time of Zack. Earlier on in the year/last year, he seemed to be the favorite out of everyone and almost the poster boy for my manga, which for now is tentatively named "Emotion!", but I have a feeling that may change.

Zack

Age: 16
Gender: Male
Eye/Hair Colour: Blue/Blonde
Favorite Colour: Blue
Birthdate: January 2nd
Blood Type: O+
Likes: Electronics, robots, machines, tools, computers, non-petroleum based energy, Gundam
Dislikes: Gasoline, Brocoli

Zack is the runt of the litter, being a full year younger than everyone else, yet still in his senior year at high school. He is frighteningly smart, and often builds mobile suit-like machines and drives them around the school or town. The only problem being is that the machines often malfunction and develop minds of their own (a la Terminator) and start destroying everything that moves/has people in it. No one really knows where he gets the parts to even build the thing, but some think his father owns a big time international robotics company. He is often seen hanging around Ken as he is the only one who can go hand to hand with his beserk robots.
