Hey All, my real name is Dave, and I originally joined theO as a wallpaper maker, but now I've been more focused on fan art and improving my work. I've been a member for about 10 years now, including various name changes lol.

As for my anime tastes, I'm a huge fan of sci-fi, action/shounen, and mecha. My first ever complete manga series was Love Hina, which I still rank as my favorite, and its also what pushed me to draw more. Akamatsu-sensei's Negima is also highly ranked on my list and also acts as a source of inspiration (although I prefer his style from Volumes 13 & 14 of Love Hina a little more lol).

Currently, I'm reading Bleach and UQ Holder!. I haven't been following much anime that's been airing lately since most of it is seemingly loli fanservice-type shows. I try and follow any Gundam series that I can, and I was actually impressed with the Build Fighters series; it focuses more on camaraderies and rivalries that are surprisingly well written. It's pretty childish, but I get a kick out of all the easter eggs hidden within it. I also own a variety of Miyazaki's movies due to their charm and underlying messages about our world and the environment.

I also game a little bit when I'm not drawing or at work/school; I mainly play RPGs and fighters, but I have dabbled into 3rd person shooters (Vanquish, Crysis series), some action adventure games, and racing (Gran Turismo 5). I also enjoy RTSs, but I pretty much only play Starcraft II on and off.

As for school/employment, I am currently employed with the electronics retailer The Source up in Canada, and I'm attending college to become a Medical Lab Technician. I'll be done around October 2015, then I can work in any diagnostic lab/hospital to help diagnose diseases!

Cheers,

Inphinity

On Break This Week

Hey All,

Sadly this week I won't be cranking out any submission since I was busy visiting family this weekend, and that my Insomnia is back and causing some issues. Hopefully all will be resolved by next week and I can figure out how Rick will participate in battle and design Zack's first crude attempt at a mech lol.

00 Qan[T] Complete

So it took about 12 hours (split across 2 days) to complete him, but it was worth it. The only thing that BANDAI pissed me off with was saying that the kit comes with an action base, but its really only to hold the GN Buster/Sword up, not the actual model. Action bases are damn-near impossible to find in Canada, so looks like I'll have to order one through the interwebs *sigh*

Since the pics are huge, I'm redirecting you guys to my dA page.

No Submissions for the Next Week

Hey All,

I'm in the process to moving to a more permanent apartment near were I'll be doing my Master's of Science, so I'm all over the place moving stuff and unpacking boxes. I'll try and have some stuff up by next week sometime. I also live close to an anime hobby shop in Ottawa now, so my manga library has been expanding, and I managed to find the last Gunpla I will ever buy/build; the 00 Qanta! So that'll take probably 1.5 days to build, and I'll post some picks once its complete.

I'm also quite annoyed at the manga availability in Canada, as I'm missing 5 volumes of Negima to round out my collection, but they are impossible to find! I'm missing volumes 18-20 and 29-30. 18-20 are hard to find since they're from 2008, but when it switched hands from Del Rey to Kodansha comics, Canada never got the first two volumes after the switch (29 & 30). Sadly I don't have my own credit card, so ordering online is next to impossible, and volume 19 is mysteriously out of stock as well *sigh* Ah well, guess I'll keep looking lol.

Holy Copyright Law Abuse Batman!

Whilst looking for information on Akamatsu sensei's newest manga, I found a link to some ridiculous law currently trying to pass through Japan's legislature. It basically gives publishers almost as much power as the author, under the pretext of "preventing piracy." Just thought I'd post it up here to raise some awareness.

Update On Sporadic-ness

Hey Everyone!

As I noted in my last submission, I'll be on rather sporadically due to me having to study for the MCAT exam. I'll still try and get one work out a week, but it may or may not be on Sundays. Juggling a full-time job (with lotsa overtime)and studying is gonna be interesting, but luckily most of the material on the test is review from my first 3 years of University, so that makes it easier. Should be back to a more regular schedule AFTER June 16th (which is a Thursday). Anyway, since my brother was over, this week's submission will be delayed, but I'm gonna post a preview below. Enjoy!
