Hey All, my real name is Dave, and I originally joined theO as a wallpaper maker, but now I've been more focused on fan art and improving my work. I've been a member for about 10 years now, including various name changes lol.

As for my anime tastes, I'm a huge fan of sci-fi, action/shounen, and mecha. My first ever complete manga series was Love Hina, which I still rank as my favorite, and its also what pushed me to draw more. Akamatsu-sensei's Negima is also highly ranked on my list and also acts as a source of inspiration (although I prefer his style from Volumes 13 & 14 of Love Hina a little more lol).

Currently, I'm reading Bleach and UQ Holder!. I haven't been following much anime that's been airing lately since most of it is seemingly loli fanservice-type shows. I try and follow any Gundam series that I can, and I was actually impressed with the Build Fighters series; it focuses more on camaraderies and rivalries that are surprisingly well written. It's pretty childish, but I get a kick out of all the easter eggs hidden within it. I also own a variety of Miyazaki's movies due to their charm and underlying messages about our world and the environment.

I also game a little bit when I'm not drawing or at work/school; I mainly play RPGs and fighters, but I have dabbled into 3rd person shooters (Vanquish, Crysis series), some action adventure games, and racing (Gran Turismo 5). I also enjoy RTSs, but I pretty much only play Starcraft II on and off.

As for school/employment, I am currently employed with the electronics retailer The Source up in Canada, and I'm attending college to become a Medical Lab Technician. I'll be done around October 2015, then I can work in any diagnostic lab/hospital to help diagnose diseases!

Cheers,

Oddities in Gundam 00's Epilogue

This will primarily be a 00 post, due to its finale on Sunday. So, if any of you watched the thing, you'll know there's gonna be a movie, but it will e a long time coming (damn them for making us til 2010+ because of a theatrical release!), but that seems to be the directors signature move since he did the same thing with FMA. Overall, it was an OK ending, it just didn't seem to really get anywhere since they tied everything up in the prior episode, with leaving only killing Ribbons on the to do list. It was a great battle sequence, especially Hallelujah completely slaughtering Hilling/Healing (however you spell it, depends of the sub group). The 00/Rebirth fight was alright, but it didn't seem to be as well drawn as the final battle in S1, but a well, I got to see 00 quantize again. I was happy with the epilogue, I'm just hoping Graham gets a new badass suit in the movie with some screen time.

Oh, and about the epilogue; can anyone explain why Bring, Anew, and Ribbons show up in it (or at least their clones?

And to celebrate the end of my online course, I think I'm gonna go buy a new RAM chip for my laptop, since I got the new MSN and internet explorer, and they boot up pretty damn slow, but they run fine once their running.

GIFTS!?

lol, so i have received two gifts in less than a day. I only find this funny because I spoke with bossman Adam last week, and he commented on how I have "nice shiny trophies, but your a bit lacking in the gift depeartment." Maybe he ordered some members around...Nah. And now that I'm done my bloody work report thingy (HIME, have you proof read it yet!?), and I've been talking about about manga plot in comments and PM's about my fanart, so looks like that project will start moving a little faster now. That and it'll give me the incentive to draw more, lol. I'm also posting bios wit da submissions, so have a look if it pleases you.

YAY 00 Fans on theO, and My Rank Went Up!?

Hello all. So I found another 00 fan on theO, which is nice, because like I was telling the afformtioned fan, I haven't found many (maybe 4 people). And the finale is in 2 weeks, can't wait! I really wonder how its going to end, but I wouldn't be surprised at a third season, since there seem to be alot of stuff to wrap up in two 24min episodes (unless 25 is an HOUR, which would make my month). I also made another 00 wall (titled Celestial Being), this one including all 4 new Gundams (couldn't fit Seraphim in, but its gotten NO screentime anyway). I also noticed my rank go up after I signed a guestbook, LOL. Now I'm an Otakuite+, although I still feel like I'm at rock bottom. Maybe I shoulda stuck to my BW account...Nah.

I Have Status?

Well, in today's post, I'll actually get staright to the point instead of going on a tangent before even getting to the topic. SO I went to submit a wallpaper this morning, and usually they say that the work has been submitted, and they have to look at it first before putting it up. However, this morning was different because when I submitted it, the green box thingy said "Congrajulations! Your work has been submitted, and because of your STATUS, instantly posted!" Now how does that work? Not that I'm complaining, but my site rank didn't go up or anything (and how does you rank go up anyway?). Ah well, guess this should give me some incentive in making more walls

Stuff Is Expensive and....BINGO with seniors!

Well, hope everyone had a good weekend. I got to volunteer at the manor I've been trying to get in for a little while, and it was interesting. I had to help out with a kareoke bingo type of thing. It was fun, but about 3/4 of the way through, one of the ladies at my table decided it was time to clean up, so she started taking everyone's cards even though we weren't finished. She tried three times, and then we asked if she wanted to leave, but she insisted that she stayed...I was confuzzled. And the staff kinda forgot to tell me improtant things...They handed me one guy in a wheel chair, and so I proceeded to take him to the bingo hall, but he didn't seem really responsive. They later told me that he was blind. Thanks alot! No wonder someone had to be with him at all times.

And yesterday I found out a trip to Chicago from Waterloo is 260$...Needless to say, I will most likely not be going to ACen, lol. Not wit da rent I'm paying during my coop placement. Too bad they're weren't any lab placements where I actually live. Ah well, such is life. Now, don't expect me to show up in chat tonight, since my uncle is coming to visit, and I have a feeling he's going to take me to several famous bars in Montreal...I just hope we're not out too long, I have to work tomorrow...
