Hey All, my real name is Dave, and I originally joined theO as a wallpaper maker, but now I've been more focused on fan art and improving my work. I've been a member for about 10 years now, including various name changes lol.

As for my anime tastes, I'm a huge fan of sci-fi, action/shounen, and mecha. My first ever complete manga series was Love Hina, which I still rank as my favorite, and its also what pushed me to draw more. Akamatsu-sensei's Negima is also highly ranked on my list and also acts as a source of inspiration (although I prefer his style from Volumes 13 & 14 of Love Hina a little more lol).

Currently, I'm reading Bleach and UQ Holder!. I haven't been following much anime that's been airing lately since most of it is seemingly loli fanservice-type shows. I try and follow any Gundam series that I can, and I was actually impressed with the Build Fighters series; it focuses more on camaraderies and rivalries that are surprisingly well written. It's pretty childish, but I get a kick out of all the easter eggs hidden within it. I also own a variety of Miyazaki's movies due to their charm and underlying messages about our world and the environment.

I also game a little bit when I'm not drawing or at work/school; I mainly play RPGs and fighters, but I have dabbled into 3rd person shooters (Vanquish, Crysis series), some action adventure games, and racing (Gran Turismo 5). I also enjoy RTSs, but I pretty much only play Starcraft II on and off.

As for school/employment, I am currently employed with the electronics retailer The Source up in Canada, and I'm attending college to become a Medical Lab Technician. I'll be done around October 2015, then I can work in any diagnostic lab/hospital to help diagnose diseases!

Cheers,

Inphinity

DAMN YOU CANON SOFTWARE!

So, I have a canon printer, which prints with AMAZING quality, and scans great too! But the software is a little weird...When an ink cartridge is low, it thinks its performing maintenance on itself, when really it doesn't do a damn thing. So when I go to scan, it just doesn't, and INSISTS you change the cartridge, reguardless of if its empty or not (it only thinks its running empty). So there go the scans of some costumes I designed; guess they'll have to wait til I blow the budget at Staples, lol.

lol, and I tried a Mango for the first time today, and it was good! Very juicy, it was like drinking a glass of fruit juice that required chewing

SWITCH

So looks like I'm back now thanks to said post. Anyway, hope everyone had a good Easter; mine was great! I am no longer sick; musta been all the chocolate, thanks for da heads up Miss kisskiss-bangbang. Ate like a pig (as usual), smothered the dog whilst I could, and played with new toys. Popped in my new RAM chips; this sucker now has 2GB of of said memory, and it runs smoothly (eat your heart out slow booting time of GIMP). My brother and I also went back to our console roots by trading his Wii for a PS3, due to it (the Wii) not having enough games that my brother liked. So I tried Metal Gear Solid 4; holy crap, most indirect, sneaky game I've ever played *is used to going in guns blazing*. I bought Soul Calibur 4 for it, since I love fighters, and it is my temporary replacement for Brawl (until Blazblue and Tekken 6 come out). It also doubles as a Bluray player, so that was a nice bonus (the latter movie format is FRIGGIN' clear dudes, BUT you need an HDTV, otherwise Bluray is USELESS). It also acts as a computer (you can put an OS on it, like Linux or Windows, and use it as your PC), but we lack sufficient ports in our rowder to hook it up to the internet, so no PSN (Playstation Network) for now. The only quarry I have with the thing is that Sony decided to take out the chip that reads PS2 games (it can still read PS games though), so looks like I migt have to pur-chase a PS2 if I wanna get any more mileage outta my PS2 games.

Long Weekend and Dead Time

Hey all. With the long weekend comin' up, I'll probably be too busy with visiting people that theO will be put the back burner til next Tuesday. I haven't been on much since last weekend anyway, but I did crank out a few wallies; enough so that I got in the site standings again, albeit for a day. I'm also falling ill, figures its right before a holiday

Montreal Chinatown and Another Topic

Hello all. So I decided to pay a visit to Montreal's Chinatown yesterday, and man...What a dissapointment. The only other Chinatown I've been to is Ottawa's, and that one can take hours to walk through. Montreal's took me not even 10min to scale TWICE. And the shops are so crampt it ain't even funny; one shop I went to was no bigger than a walk-in closet, lol. They also layered their merchandise in like three layers, so good luck finding anything. There was only one obvious anime merchandise shop, with another two being less obvious (and closed on Sundays). What kinda annoyed me was that the content was 99% Naruto, 0.5% Bleach, and 0.5% Deathnote...No Gundam I did, however, see a random cosplay party in the empty square in the middle of Chinatown, it was kinda random. There were some pretty good ones; some was Reno from FFVII: AC, and somehow had their hair exactly like it is in the movie, pretty impressive. There was also a Tifa who did the costume perfectly. There was, of course, the whole Naruto cast, but the Naruto there had the hair done quite well. BUT, I did find the greatest shop in my area on Saturday; if you are ever in Monreal, pay a visit to Sci-Fi Anime: biggest friggin' selection of Manga and DVD's I've ever seen, including imported magazines and manga (if you can read japanese). They also have many figurines, and MODELS too! If you don't find what your looking for, the owner will hapily see if he can order it for you (I might be getting a Master Grade Freedom model in the next two weeks:P). He also has a HUGE gallery of models he's painted.

And now for the "other topic": kisskiss-bangbang posted this exerpt on his site to see if people pay attention to him, and that he's not just used as a source to incease other's people's friend list; and I'd kinda like to see what happens too. SO here it is:

"No offense, but ... People are getting too fake on me . They only want posts, comments, or to see how many friends they can get. So let's see who will actually repost this. This is a test to see who's paying attention. This is a test to see how many people in my friends list actually pay attention to me. Copy and repost in your own bulletin. Lets see who the true friends are and I think I know who you are... Repost this if you are a friend...Don't reply... just copy and paste this in a new bulletin as "Fake Friends'

True friends will read and repost this. Fake friends will just ignore it"

TheO's April Fool

So I forgot it was April Fool's when I logged on this morning for my usual check. When I first commented on my wall, I wondered why the main character from that ridiculous Twilight was my avvie. Then I realized...we've been had. The funny thing is, I thought Twilight was kinda like an anime phenomenon for non-anime watchers/readers. You look on the news, and there are SO MANY FANGIRLS it ain't funny! (Remember, I hate fangirls, just ask HIME) I think I even saw cosplays on the news when they were covering the movie's release. So the director of this movie has successfully made a new brand of fangirl...No comment. And for any fangirls reading this, I'm sorry, but aniki and I both HATE Twilight because of the frolocking fan-friends he has (even though neither of us has seen the movie, lol). Now I'm worried what's gonna happen at work today...we have a couple of pranksters in the lab...
