Intro image ala Mimmi

Just throwing a small blurb-post in here about my intro image.

At first I was working with a less funny and rather straightforward piece that didn't seem to go anywhere. However, my most recent wallpaper* had just been finished so with that one fresh in mind the wonderful punny idea to this one was born.

The sheep can either be interpreted to represent me or as the sillyness I hatch up. It's got a paintbrush behind its ear, which is ironic because I can't actually paint, smudges from going wild with creating and a cheeky smile hidden behind the egg shell. Said egg shell was made with the help of an image of Jupiter. True story.

Now if only I could grasp how to stop making this place transparent and thusly prevent my images from looking washed out when they're posted here *wrinkles nose*

* It might see the light of day, depending on what Batou says. I decided to nag him this time, to give Ichigo a break from me >.>

Pay attention, class

The intensity of my photoshopping craze, which began .... at some point in the not too distant recent past, has dwindled down to a manageable pace. After challenging myself with a fun project (*jig*) demanding me to work with much less space than I am used to, it's almost overwhelming to try and get back to the huuuuge wallpaper sizes xD

It's comical how that feeling of accomplishment from 'not totally sucking with the small dimension' kind of got slapped right out of me immediately after I turned my attention elsewhere. Now it feels impossible to whip together a decent background for a wallpaper! And it doesn't help that the centerpiece is my current 'out of nowhere silly-fun idea I'm digging way too much', begging to be given an adequate backdrop *rolls eyes*

So, instead of working hard on fixing the issue I obviously went back to toying with small dimensions! One had potential for being pretty decent but stubbornly resisted my attempts to mold it into my desired vision. Consistent as I am *cough* I kept at it and reached a place that was as close to satisfactory as my critical mind allowed. Needless to say I amuse myself very easily:

Mokona is excited! [Continuation on previous post]

1) This was my initial banner idea, a girl lounging about and a black Mokona bringing her refreshment. Somehow it ended up with both fluff-balls + the dreaded drops. 2) Just as I'd finished the first draft I decided to remove the girl to pu...

Jeanne the Attention Thief

Most of my torrenting takes place at one place and they were opening up the possibility to design a banner for the site. Anyone could participate, submissions that were accepted would be displayed on a rotating basis. I tossed together some...
