(Just RECONSTRUCTED and EDITED!) Alright, so this is a world for all you shojo fans out there! Yay! Here I will review mangas, animes, and movies, place my views on the industry, talk about shojoness... and more!

Note: The new background is from the actual DNAngel DVD and the caption added by myself. It may cause nosebleeds, severe shaking, and a big crush on Dark!

Manga Review: Captive Hearts

PLOT/SUMMARY:
Mishima was butler's son to a very rich family. That was until the family left to China and died of an illness and all was passed on to him and his father. Or so they thought, their only daughter survived to come back to Japan, but when Mishima meets her, he bows down before her calling her 'princess' and carries her into the house (something he swore never to do). This strange outlandish reaction is a result of an ancient curse put on Mishima's family for stealing a scroll from the girl's family, forcing them to become servents to her family. How will Mishima deal with this? And is there a way to break the curse?

MY THOUGHTS/ MORE ON THE MANGA:
If you read this manga, you may realize that it isn't quite as intriguing as Matsuri Hino's other works (Vampire Knight, Meru Puri...etc.). This is because it is Hino-sama's FIRST serialized manga. (I know, it took long enough to get to the U.S., right?) You can see how her art and plot skills have developed so much from this manga. It's a really charming story that moves along pretty fast. Also, if you read the Shojo Beat edition of the manga, there are 2 decent sized short stories in the back that are quite charming. I liked the books, since I'm a 'Hino Fan' and thought it had a nice story line. I really want to get the next one, but so far, only book 1 is out in stores. I can't wait to check out the second book.

Anime Review: RahXephon

STORY/PLOT:
Ayato was a rather passive high school boy who wanted to enjoy a rather uneventful life. But, when an invasion from the 'Mu' came while he was on the train to school, his whole world changed. He meets a quiet girl his age from his past, Mishima, or is she?. When Ayato asks his friends where she went they had no idea what he was talking about... While Ayato and Mishima tryied to find safety, the two were attacked by men with blue blood. They were saved by a mysterious woman, named Haruka Shtou, but when Ayato and Mishima escape the subway station from both Haruk and the men, they found themself at the 'Shrine of Xephon'. Where Ayato collapsed after finding a strange egg. The egg hatched into a mecha called Rah Xephon, of which Ayato is the pilot. Who are the Mu? What do they want? And what will Ayato do with this new power?

My Opinion:
I thought this was a very interesting anime. I haven't watched the whole series, since I'm only on the first DVD. But, it is very interesting. It has giant mechas, alternate worlds, action, and music terminology! (Okay, not so much the terminology, but they do use music terms here and there as names. I'm such a band geek.)

My Rating: 4.5 stars

P.S. My sis and I came up with some lame jokes with this series... Mooooo! Cows in disguise! and.... Their powers are utterly amazing. Okay, I'm good now, but really MU?

Review: Chrono Crusade

PLOT/SUMMARY:
Rosette isn't your average girl. She lives in a convent of the Order of Mary Magdelen in New York, 1920. Don't let that throw you for a loop. Rosette, a memeber of the order, has a duty to exterminate the devils that plague the United States, stiring up trouble during the desperate time of the Depression. With her friends Chrono and Azmaria, they work to flush out the evil devils and ultimately find Rosette's younger brother, Joshua, who was kidnapped by the evil Aion. Will Rosette save Aion? And what is Chrono really? Watch to find out!

MY THOUGHTS:
Wow, I really loved this series. It has a great plot line that's not filled with side stories or boring psychological warfare. It's straight forward and clarifies things enough for you to understand. The series is rather short, which is nice, delivering a compelling reason to watch the next episode and develops the plot line well. I grew attached to Chrono and Rosette because of how strong their characters were. I would like to tell the ending, but I just can't, I don't like giving away spoilers. I recommend this to anyone who likes: guns, action, developed characters, historical fiction, or just plain good anime.

Review: Full Metal Panic

PLOT/SUMMARY:
Kosuke Sagura is a member of an elite mercenary team. Yet, his hardest mission comes to him now. He must guard a young girl from the terrorists who threaten her life. But, Kosuke han't been to highschool before and he has a hard time blending. Perhaps he should stop bringing guns to school.... *nervous dropplet*

MY THOUGHTS:
Fullmetal Panic is an anime full of mecha, battle, girls, and military strategy. It's a rather Shonen show, but becasue of all the hype, I had to check it out. It's pretty funny since Kosuke has no idea when it comes to girls, school... or most other normal things a teenager would do. I find it pretty funny at times and like to watch it for laugh. But don't get too sidetracked while wating or you'll miss something. I personally recommend that you check this series out, at least the first two episodes to see if it suites your personal anime tastes.

Anime Review: Nanaka 6/17

PLOT/SUMMARY:
Nanaka 6/17 is about a highschool girl who is very darkish and moody. Or should I say WAS. After a dramatic accident, she develops a second personality, one of 6 year old. Every so often, she switches between the two and at the most inconvenient of times. She struggles with Neji-san, the boy she likes when she barely knows what's going on.

MY THOUGHTS:
I found this series rather intersting because I kind of relate to the topic. But I don't feel like going into my past. I have a sort of bias to like the show, but I think it's rather simple. I could call it an anime soup opera if I wanted, but it's not nearly as bad. Well, I have to go. (Using school computer at break.)
