Shinsengumi group at Anime Evolution
Well, I've only got pics from Konme so far, so unfortunately no photo of our whole Anime Evolution group yet. I think we had a count of 16 or so people in Shinsengumi gear at the convention on Sunday. I'm sure SomeGuy will post a more through report of the convention soon.

UBC Invasion
Alright, seeing as AnimeEvolution has been moved over to the University of British Columbia the Shinsengumi meet up on Sunday is still on!
Meeting place will be on the top of the burial mound, in front of the Student Union Building at 11a.m. on Sunday.
SO if you're a random person who just so happens to be dressed as a shinsengumi on Sunday, JOIN US :D OR WE'LL HUNT YOU DOWN!!
I think we'll also be actively recruiting general convention members who just so happens to be dressed in Shinsengumi gear as we spot them.
I'll leave the march to Someguy as he is our main coordinator now :D
After our march and perhaps many photo opportunities, we'll be pulling members so we can have a mock battle behind the Anthropology Museum.

AE "postponed" and *gasp* Yaoi-con
Looks like the OSCgumi home convention here in Vancouver has been "postponed" so we might not have a summer convention anymore. Too bad we may have had up to 2 dozen for a Shinsengumi march at AE too this summer. Oh well, not to be.
On the other hand, a couple of us were looking at Yaoi-con simply because well, we had an interest to go, and we figured, why not have a Shinsengumi presence at Yaoi-con as well? XD So far there will be a grand total of 2 OSCgumi members at Yaoi-con this year if we do end up going to that convention as planned. Things are still a bit up in the air at the moment though.
And lastly. I never did post these videos, but they were taken back in May when I (maiea) went to the annual Shinsengumi festival in Hino, Japan.
There's a bunch of other Shinsengumi festival vids as well, just look at my other YT vids if interested. ^^

Contemporary Shinsengumi Shoot
Alright, alright! Finally I present some of the photo's from the Contemporary Shinsengumi Photoshoot. It was certainly a surprise at how things turned out. Thank God it didn't rain! Hehheh.
There was no set theme for the shoot so we ended up with a pretty mix bag of "characters":
- yankee/street shinsengumi - SomeGuy
- osu! OSU! cheerleading/delinquent high school girl shinsengumi - Amefuri
- spider goth shinsengumi - s***** (don't know her screen name sorry)
- Bond Shinsengumi - KIMKAM
- Raver/Jrock/punk shinsengumi - maiea
- Evil Corporate/office lady shinsengumi - amenonine
- PIRATE Shinsengumi - Vyce
- Wild wild West Shinsengumi - Master Okita
Photographers were kimkam (treeviewer) and amenonine.
AND we can't forget the Shinsengumi MOBILE driven by our one and only Master Okita-san.

Whenever we deem it necessary to have our next cosplay business meeting in New Westminster . . . I've taken the liberty of prepping the diagrams and presentations for everyone:
Doubling up comes based on gender preferences, of course. That said, who else do we need doing what?
