Hey, ShikamaruRocks, here. How ya doin'?
I have another world. One called "Shika's Busy-ish Nook" that contains less random stuff than you'll find here. For the most part. I'll leave all the official stuff that's on here though, but all new official stuff will be there.
I AM A GIRL. So many people think I'm a dude, but I'm not. I promise.
Soooo, let's get on with it, shall we?
Most of these are in no particular order...
Favorite Manga: Fruits Basket, Saiyuki, Saiyuki Reload, RurouniKenshin, DNAngel, Prince of Tennis, Trigun, One Piece, Rave Master, Nana, PeaceMaker Kurogane, Fullmetal Alchemist, HanaKimi, Ouran High School Host Club, etc.
Favorite Anime: Hunter x Hunter, Fullmetal Alchemist, Peacemaker Kurogane, DNAngel, Fruits Basket, TekkonKinkreet, Saiyuki, Mushi-shi, BECK, Avatar (it counts!!! grrrr....), Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, RurouniKenshin, etc.
Music Peeps: YellowCard, Death Cab for Cutie, Snowpatrol, A Fire Inside, The Used, Three Days Grace, Seether, Orange Range, My Chemical Romance, Hoobastank, Muse, The Pillows, Plain White T's, Angels and Airwaves, Flaming Lips, Bump of Chicken, and!!! The Jonas Brothers (my guilty pleasure).
I love cooking, drawing, reading (mostly manga but novels are wicked awesome too. I just don't have the time nor stamina for novels as much anymore...though I have been working my way back in. lol), knitting, watching my brother play Zelda/Metroid games (lol), and skateboarding, though I fail epicly at it.
Toodles!!
I've started a new little pass-time of sorts. I'm going to create a little comic where in every page is stand alone in a way, yet still part of one story. Thus we understand the Mega Tokyo reference.
Also, it's about a band (the BECK part is making sense now). How they met, what they play, how they get along, yadda, yadda, yadda. This is based off of the band TwistedCyberChick and I wish we could have. However, pretty much the only similarities are 1: the name of the band, and 2: the drummers stagename.
Here's the very rough copy of part of the cover (which just so happens to double as the cover for their debut album^^).

This will be touched up later. I colored it with sharpies. lol. Also, I had to take a picture of it with my cellphone because our scanner wouldn't work. Errrrrg.
Anywho, this won't be posted on theO for a while, at least until I have around 10 pages done. So don't hold your breath or anything (not that you were planning on it.)
Now, this brings us to the topic of employment mentioned in the title of this post.
At 3:30 today I have my long awaited job interview at Borders Books, Music, and Cafe after having applied 3 times. haha. Anywhoo, I'm guessing I'll post tomorrow about how the interview went.
Talk to yall later!
Toodles!
TwistedCyberChick and I are off to a Dive/Swim meet at a Country Club not too far from our house.
No, we are not participating in the swim and dive events. We aren't even members of the club.
The lady in charge of food and entertainment this year is actually one of my parents accounts and she has asked Twisted to supply the Club with beautious background piano music for when people are eating. I am accompanying her as "page turner". lol.
Needless to say, Twisted is just about scared enough to have a major hemorrhage in some artery at any moment. I would be just as horrified as Twisted if not for a fairly recent change in plans. I was supposed to be accompanying Twisted on my cello while she played a few songs on her violin. However, she postponed buying a new A string for so long that she freaked and decided it would be best to simply stick to piano. You won't be hearing an complaints from me on that decision. I haven't played lil' Obito (my gorgeous cello) in quite some time. I was unable to arrange my schedule so as to take Orchestra in school for the second half of my Senior year and I didn't take it at all during my Junior year.
I keep telling Twisted she'll do fine, but she doesn't seem to care. Hm...
We went and saw "Get Smart" today and I must say. It was exceedingly humorous. I laughed so hard I mildly re-injured my ribs. Yeah. It was awesome. I can't wait to see it again (my brother was unable to go with us). Not to mention, Masi Oka is in it and he's simply adorable. He gets to be a little nerdy tech dude. lol. His name is Bruce. xD
Anywhoooo, it's getting on the late side for me (10:15. haha) and I'm tired with a long-ish day ahead of me.
Say all your nice "Go for it Twisted!" and "You can do iiiiiiiiiii'!!!"'s and what not. I'm sure she'll appreciate it^^
Toodles!!
Soooo, we're back from vacation (for a couple days now) and back to sleeping in the same room again. Omg-ness. I might have to scream if Twisted and I don't get on a more similar sleep schedule than the one we currently have.
We just had piano movers come to our house today to carry Twisted's piano up the stairs to our new music room. Once we move Twisted's ginormous TV downstairs I can have a friend of ours come over to help me set up my drumset properly so I can finally play it! Yay! I still need a stool, however.....Oh well.
Soon we will be off to see Hancock (if that be how it's spell. Yar. Ugh. Still lame). It looks pretty dern funny. Plus, I'm definitely a fan of Will Smith. lol. I have a friend that reminds me a lot of him. I've posted about him once or twice (with freaky edited pictures and stuff like that).
Hm. What else....Oh! Twisted and I are contemplating buying Rock Band for PS2!! Apparently it comes out in a few weeks. Yay!! We are not blessed with a Wii so we're pretty stoked about this.
Also, I drew some pictures of the girls. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, let me ellaborate. The "girls" are the four original characters in TwistedCyberChick's and my fanfiction "Sanzo Wannabe". I have drawn pictures of the girls (which are posted on Twisted's World "Sanzo Wannabe") in their normal clothes. Please do check them out. I haven't posted the new pics I drew yet because I still have to draw Anna (she seemed the most daunting), still, please check those out once they are posted as well^^
I can't really think of anything else so I'm gonna jet.
Talk to yall later. Toodles!
Man. I haven't posted in like....a month. Holy cow!!!
Anywho, Twisted and I actually have some fairly good-ish excuses for not posting in for freakin' ever.
First excuse: TwistedCyberChick and I (being sisters) are now roommates, as in, we are sharing one room, as in, we now have practically no personal space.
There are multiple problems associated with this. I am tired by around 10:00 every night. Twisted can NOT fall asleep until after midnight at the earliest, no matter how hard she tries. She wants to use the computer at that time. When she types I want to kill her.
Second excuse: We had to get ready for my graduation picnic. This took a surprisingly long amount of time and I was practically crying by the time it actually started. haha.
Third excuse: We have been working a lot to save up money to go to Japan this October (wewt).
Fourth excuse: Our family is about to leave on vacation this Wednesday. We are going to Colorado. Rock on. We go to Colorado every summer, only I didn't get to go last summer because I was in Japan. My family went without me. Sadness.
So, that's about it for the excuses.
Except there is one more, of sorts.
This whole list of excuses is, in fact, an excuse. We won't be on theO for probably at least two weeks due to being at a little cabin up in the mountains near Estes Park.
Anywho, sorry we've been (and will be) gone for a while.
Love ya.
Toodles.
Due to lovely allergies, I have been coughing like crazy.
Last Thursday night I coughed for just about 3 hours straight, extremely violently. I was laying on the floor lurching about in quite a bit of discomfort.
The next morning I woke up and my ribs on the left side of my chest we excruciatingly painful. Especially when I'd cough, sneeze or breathe.
This pain continued on through my Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, and the day I drew pictures at Borders, all the way up until yesterday when I went to the chiropractor before watching the Live-Action Death Note movie in theaters last night (it was fabulous, by the way. Three of my friends were cosplaying as L, Light, and Misa. They did pretty good^^). At the chiropractor I went through a great deal of pain and had to suffer the embarrassment of the chiropractor taping a section of my ribs to put some of the pressure off my muscles or some such thing. I have to keep the tape on for three days.
When I asked him what I had done to myself, he didn't tell me, he just said it was almost 100% sure that it was caused by my coughing fit on Thursday. I told my mom this and she called him for me to find out. She told me what was wrong in the theater last night.
Apparently I have managed to stretch and dislocate the cartilage between a few of my ribs.
I didn't even know that was possible. Eeeeeew.
Anyhoo, ouch, is pretty much all I have to say.
Perhaps I will be better by my graduation party on the 31st?
