Chapter 4

Initializing self destruct sequence in 10 minutes

Rin was working as fast as she could. She was copying the data from the main control system while also programming everything to be deleted the moment she was finished. Currently, she was waiting for the last 20% percent of the file. After that she would be done. She only had 10 minutes to finish everything, and with the system finally finishing the download, it was now proceeding to the deleting phase. The time was ticking and she needed to get out of the building as soon as possible. It would take her some time, but it’ll be alright. As she made her way for the door, Rin felt the vibration inside her pockets again. Taking it out, she answered it.

“Gates here. You’re there? Fine, I’ll be out in about five.”

Jack had arrived and was waiting for her at the open hangar. She was also informed that Jill along with another had boarded a helicopter and flew off. With that in mind, she had to catch up to them. Knowing her, she’d go to where her friends were, which would evidently lead her to Wesker.

“I’ll be there soon…Albert.”

5 minutes till self destruct sequence

Now she would have to pick her pace. She made her exit after grabbing the samples that she had acquired, both Uroboros samples, Plagas, Jill’s blood as well as the battle data files. It would take her less than five minutes if she used her speed, and in this situation, she had no choice.

Rin sprinted out of the room and headed for the hangar. She was mildly surprised though to still be seeing some undead Majini roaming around. So much for Chris and his handy work, he could have killed them all while he was at it. Either way, it was his job after all.

Grabbing her Berettas, she shot at the approaching terror with ease and precision. She didn’t have time to play with them and she simply wanted to get the hell out of that place.

“Made it.”

Within the span of three minutes, she made it to the hangar where a grinning Jack awaited.

“Track down the copter that left.”

“Yes ma’am.”

He said while allowing Rin to get on first before he himself went back to the pilot’s seat. Turning on the switches, the motor propellers hummed to life and slowly, they ascended the skies. So far, they were still fortunate. The moment they had risen above in a particularly high altitude, the facility exploded. Luckily, they escaped the fate of the survivors in there. Jack and Rin were out of trouble for now, but this time they had to follow Jill’s copter before it’s too late. Jack glanced Rin’s way and saw the uneasiness. He put it in gear and operated it faster making sure to catch up to the opposing group in no time.

Albert…
