Full speed ahead
This will probably be short because I need to sleep.
I just submitted my first comic. It was fun making it, I even drew a mini rough draft of it in the margins of my math notebook during class (I still paid enough attention to learn stuff though, in case you're wondering). I think I also improved my digital art skills because I discovered things that made it easier to color, like the layers. Although because most of it was digital (I drew the line art in pencil) there were times when the struggle was real. I like it though.
That Being Said: I'm sorry to say that you shouldn't expect anymore art from me before May 8th, probably a little after that too cause I'm so slow. I'll still be on theO and I'll still do these posts but I won't have time to make any art. I have 5 centuries of U.S. History to review and although I have been doing some studying I have to admit that my sense of urgency has only kicked in just now... as in, Yesterday when I realized I only have about a week and a half left. (My history teacher would be so shocked if she knew this- everyone would think that the girl with straight A's would be the first to study but..... no.)
So yeah, that's the way it is. Feel free to talk to me still; I won't be so busy that I can't reply. Hope everyone is doing good ~ wherever you are ~ Good Bye
School Times
I didn't have to go to school until 11:30am today because the first few hours were just for students who had to take a certain exam that I didn't need to take, so that was nice. But you'd think I'd use that extra time to sleep in, right? Well technically I did, but only until 7:00am (if you count the time that I spent just laying awake when I woke up). I'm so used to getting up at 5am for school that maybe I can't even sleep late if I tried- I get up early on weekends too. (Not that I want to sleep late)
Next school year they're starting school 20 minutes later so "students can get more sleep".
Fat Lot Of Good That Will Do. (-_-) I mean really? No one's falling asleep in class because they got 6 hours and 40 minutes of sleep instead of 7 and the extra time will probably just be spent on something other than sleep.
And for some reason they don't realize that if you start later and end later we're not going to get more sleep we'll just have to go to bed later.
For example: I think most days are ok, but if you play a sport there are days when you don't get home until past 7 or 8pm (if you're lucky) then you have about 2 hours of homework + dinner, chores, etc. = about 3 hours before bed. So you go to bed at 10 or 11 and get up at 5 to catch your bus. 7 - 6 hours of sleep.
I haven't done extracurriculars since fall so I don't know exactly how it is for them but I know there are times when track doesn't finish until 10pm, rehearsals for the play can go until 9pm everyday and you might have more homework than usual.
So let's say they start school two hours later. Now you get home at 9-10 + 2 hours of homework + 1 hour extra stuff = go to bed at 12 or 1, get up at 7. Result: 7 -6 hours of sleep if you're lucky
(I'm explaining so much because my mom didn't get it when I told her about it and I'm hoping you guys will get it)
This is seriously their plan, although it'll be a few years before it starts. Instead of just starting and ending later, maybe they shouldn't let clubs, sports etc go on for several hours and then students could get sleep and good grades At The Same Time. People like me who go straight home after school are fine so the clubs/sports times are what need fixing.
Who's "they"? The superintendent and the people in charge of the schools in my county/district. Did they actually think this through or are they just trying to end the complainants they get from students and parents? It's kind of annoying.

Not much to report but it's TuEsdAy.
I've been thinking lately that while most people go on social networks a lot, like Instagram, Facebook,Vine etc. , that's basically what I do with theO. Even if I don't post or comment anything theO has become part of my daily routine so I'm still here stalking unsuspecting otakus.
I've been listening to the band Amazarashi recently (they did the ending song of Tokyo Ghoul root A). Even the names of their songs are all in Japanese so I have no idea what they're saying, but they sound really good. And anyways Japanese music has become one of the main things I listen to now so I'm used to not always knowing what the words mean.
Randomness:
I started reading Kimi Ni Todoke last Saturday and was really caught up with it- I should stop starting new manga/anime when I have other stuff to do, never know when I'll come across a really good one that will distract me. I really like it though( just so you know, it's shoujo)
I wonder if anyone noticed that I put a new quote in my intro of this world every Tuesday. I didn't really announce them, I just started doing it a few weeks ago.
Good Gravy - AP Exam
Advanced Placement U.S. History Exam:
- 55 multiple choice, 55 minutes. But of course these aren't just simple read the question then select the answer multiple choice, that would be too easy and kids nowadays need to think more (I say sarcastically). No, these are read the passage/excerpt for every 2-3 questions or you won't know the answer multiple choice.
55 questions 55 minutes, Better Learn How To Speed Read. - 4 "short" answer questions, 45 minutes. And you know that those "4" questions are really going to be questions 1.a, 1.b,1.c, etc., so it's really about 12 questions ,a few sentences each, and (yay) they might even make you read a passage first.
- 1 long essay, 35 minutes (this may be the easiest part) 5 paragraphs
- (oh my favorite part) 1 DBQ (Document Based Question) 60 minutes. You get to read not 1, not 3, not even 6, but 7 passages/documents, one of which may be a political cartoon that you have to understand. Then answer the question with about 5 or 4 paragraphs, but you must include an analysis of at least 6 of the documents in your answer and connect it all to some other historical events.
- Don't understand the question? Too Bad. Not a fast reader? Too Bad. You've been writing for over an hour because you had to answer those other questions and now your hand is killing you? Too Bad, write for another hour! Missed a week of school because of that snow earlier in the year? (I feel bad for the students in Boston) Too Bad, that exam date is the same for everyone in the country and is NOT moving! Don't understand the passage because it was written by some dead guy who lived 2 hundred years ago and wrote in Elizabethan English? Do I Even Need To Say It.
- It's a new test design so you have no idea how they're grading the writing portion.
- The
guinea pigsstudents that were chosen to test out the new exam last summer did not do so good. - Test is in May but you don't get your results until July
SUMMARY: The College Board hates high schoolers with a BURNING passion.
I don't know about anyone else but I have never taken a test like this before. The history teacher has these after school review sessions (which I go to) and even has a countdown on the chalkboard - 21 days until the AP Exam , oh joy! She's even trying to get #striveforafive trending in Twitter. Earlier this week we had to fill in a ton of things on a big bubble sheet with our personal information.
The seriousness and anticipation for this exam makes finals look like elementary school spelling tests. Wish me luck? (×_×)

Currently Reading: Lullaby by Amanda Hocking (watersong series) - fiction/fantasy/romance
Last Read: Crash Into You by Katie McGarry - realistic fiction/romance/life
Another great book (in my opinion)- it's only to be expected from McGarry Sensei.
I'm not sure how to describe this.... set of books..that McGarry has written. They're all connected but I don't think you could call it a series, and they don't have a series name anyways. In the first book (Pushing the Limits) there are 4 main characters but the book mainly focuses on 2 of them. Then the 2nd book (Dare You To) focuses on a different person that was in the last book and they're all different love stories. So they're connected but not in the way series usually are. It's interesting.
I think they're all very good, and this might have been my favorite. Recommended for people who like romance, real life problems, cars/street racing, fiction, emotions.
Can't wait for the next one.
