Currently Reading: Tidal by Amanda Hocking (watersong series) -fiction/fantasy/romance/supernatural. In my opinion this series isn't as good as her first series (the Trylle series) but it's still good.
Last Read: Not a Drop to Drink by Minny McGinnis - future/dystopian/romance/action.
There were a couple scenes in this book, like when the main character was holding a deer's heart in her hand and saying she would have to cook it because that's basically all they had, that made me really grateful for my life. So if your life kinda sucks right now, then this is the type of book that will make you think 'At least my life isn't that bad. Overall really good book in my opinion.

Sick
You know you're out of shape when you do 20 squats and the next day you can barely walk because of the soreness(me).... pitiful
Anyways, I'm so tired right now because I'm so sick. I don't know what it feels like but today does not feel like Tuesday to me. I need to sleep, that's what I need. Not that it makes me feel any more refreshed. I need vitamin C. I need someone to make a vaccine for the common cold. Just imagine how much more convenient life would be without all those sick days.
When I was doing those squats I decided to count in Japanese just because. Ichi, ni, san, shi, go, roku, shichi, hachi, kuu, juu........ I only learned up to 10.
I probably seem kinda all over the place today, but there is something about being sick (and still going to school and everything) that just makes me not want to try too hard anymore.
Can't wait for the next chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re. That last chapter was just OMG ＼(◎o◎)／

Something Wicked that Way Goes
IT'S OVER. IT'S DONE. IT WASN'T NEARLY AS BAD I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I THINK I DID GOOD.

Finished the AP Exam and I got to leave early so that was nice, although there were only 2 periods left anyways and one of them was history so we wouldn't have done anything. But still.
I swear, I got a stomach ache and some back pains yesterday when the teacher was explaining the format of the test. But today I took it and it really was not that hard. I probably didn't need to know half the stuff I went over this past week. But the thing with tests like this is that you don't know what they're going to ask you, so you still have to study everything. Finished the multiple choice with 20 minutes to spare.
Now I can relax and maybe draw something later. Everything has just been on hold this past week, I didn't watch anime or read a book I was finishing. I feel like it's been a while.
I thought afterwards it might feel like a weight was lifted from my shoulders or something since I can stop all that constant studying, but I just feel normal. The test was normal...
How anti-climatic...

I'm starting to think, and hope, that the AP Exam might not be as bad as I originally thought it would be.

I know I I'm talking about it a lot lately but it's been dominating my generally uneventful/boring life, especially since it's only 3 days away now.

When I ever I time myself and do practice questions I always finish with more than enough time left. Also, I'm good at writings so even if I'm a little pressed for time I should do good on those.

Last week in our after school reviews we did these practice tests/games on a website called kahoot.it. You get more points for answering questions correctly and quickly and after each question it shows the top 5 people. It just made me sad because I could barely get in the top 5, if I got in there at all.

But then today we did the game again and I was 1st place for over half the game and only missed 1 out of 20 questions, so I won. It boosted my confidence. The studying must really be paying off.

K-POP/Controversy
I've been obsessing over getting into K-Pop lately. I kinda tried it before and got some songs by EXO but I didn't really get into it like I am now. Once again I find that I like this foreign music just as much as English music, maybe more.
I Now Listen To:
- EXO/EXO-K/EXO-M : sounds really good and is really popular
- GOT7 : new, has only been around for about a year, easygoing sound/feel
- Bigbang : made a comeback YESTERDAY after 3 years of no new songs. More rap/party, probably closest to American music but they are awesome. Some members make solo songs & I listen to those too.
- VIXX : really catchy but underrated
- Girl's Generation: girly/popular
- 2NE1: pronounced 21, girl power
- TVXQ : more oldish style/sound but still modern
- B2ST : pronounced beast, more serious sound/feel
There's a lot and I plan to check them out when I have more time. Everyday this week I've had some K-Pop song stuck in my head, but since I love it so much it doesn't bother me.
CONTROVERSY:
One reason why K-Pop isn't that popular in the U.S. is because it's "manufactured". These groups don't just get together. The individuals train for years on singing and dance and then audition and are selected by different entertainment companies. The companies usually have huge budgets so the dancing ,choreography, effects etc. in their music videos are awesome.
This is looked down on in the U.S. because people think it's all about money and the performers don't do as much work ,but in Korea and Japan it's accepted.
I personally don't think it matters. Not all companies are bad. I'm sure lots of American pop artists are just in it for the money and fame. I mean how heartfelt are you really when 90% of your songs are about wasting your money on clubs and alcohol (Many American pop artists)?
Isn't One Direction "manufactured"?
And years of training sounds like tons of work to me.
I'm not trying to tear down American pop artists I'm just saying that in the end, whether you were recruited by a company or started by yourself, music is music.
Why is it that less people comment when I ask for a response? I'd REALLY like to hear what you guys think about manufactured bands.
Last Thing ~ Maybe I'm just weird but isn't this music video just wild- in a good way- and doesn't the blond remind you of Tsukiyama (Tokyo Ghoul) when he's in that suit?warning: mild male shirtlessness.
Of course they're not all like this, so don't be scared away. Like I said, BigBang has a party feel & I'm probably just a weirdo for thinking this is the best music video ever.
