"Shiri Misukara! If you wish to sleep in class I suggest you leave cram school!" a woman's voice caused the red haired girl to tense and sit upright at her desk. Oh no... I slept in cram class again..... Shiri found her face growing red in embarrassment, and she looked down sharply as though trying to avoid the teacher's eye. She stared down at her desk turning even more red as though unable to get away from it.
"S-s-sorry... sensei...." Shiri sand quietly and resisting the sudden urge to get up and run straight out of the cram school right then and there. She placed her hands in her lap again and looked down at the text book in front of her. The teacher went on with her lecture, yet Shiri still found herself completely and totally red from embarrassment. As soon as the school let out, Shiri stood up and grabbed her things quickly before making a lunge to get out of the class as quickly as possible. However, she felt an arm seize her. Stopping and looking back, Shiri found the teacher had taken a hold of her. Watching the other students walk out, the teacher finally released Shiri.
"Wait a moment..." the teacher said aloud. "I would like a word with you, Shiri.... You have been sleeping a lot more during cram school as of late. Are you ill or something of the like?
Shiri turned around and faced the teacher with a pale worried face. "Sorry... I... just haven't been sleeping at night, and I'm really tired...." she sighed outwards looking to the teacher in hope that there would be an understanding reached. However, the teacher just stared back and finally let out a sigh.
"You have a lot of potential Shiri... You must try and stay awake in order to fulfill yourself fully... School is very important to your future," the teacher sighed outwards as she looked at the exceedingly quiet girl now standing in front of her.
"S-sorry...." Shiri answered back. "I... will try harder." She made a quick bow and started out the school door and started running once more with her books pressed up against her chest. Stupid stupid stupid! Why am I so stupid? She resisted the urge to cry at that point. However, in a second, she collided with someone and fell back sharply. "Sorry!" she shouted before realizing that she had shouted.
