Update on the Odd Child

The "Odd Child" of mention in the title would be me.

So...with summer winding down, I thought I would give everyone an update on mah life (not that you care, but hey, it'll be fun for me to personally recap what I've been up to. :) ...I'm odd, as stated previously.)

About a week ago, I had my 4 wisdom teeth forcibly removed from my cranium or to put it more politely "surgically removed". The first day was really miserable and I ended up puking 'cause I took a pain pill on an empty stomach. But after 4 or 5 days of lazing around on the couch, I feel much better. :D

School starts up on the 12th. :/
I'm actually kind of excited to get back to school, but not so excited to get back to the work that school entails...does that make any sense? XD; OH! Speaking of school (and this connects 'cause it's a trip that I'm taking for class credit), I'm going to Nicaragua this December! (I'll actually be there on my birthday, so I'll be turning 20 out of the country. I think that's kind of cool. :3)

But yeah, I'm super excited to go to Nicaragua. It's my first time to leave the country and I've always wanted to travel so this is super exciting for me! :D Although...my knowledge of Spanish is pretty limited. I know "la Tisa" and "al fuego". Sooooo...hopefully there's lots of chalk and several things are on fire. Maybe if I'm lucky there'll be chalk...ON FIRE! 8D

In other news, I got myself addicted to several random things over this summer. One of those would be a TV series called "Firefly". It's a space-western-drama that's only 14 episodes long, but it's a magical 14 episodes. <3 I recommend that you go check it out and get yourself addicted too!

Another thing I found myself drawn to was adventure games. I mean, I've played several text based adventure games (mostly Phoenix Wright) but this summer I got involved in all the older Sierra adventure games. I've really come to love King's Quest, Space Quest and Quest for Glory/Hero Quest. Unfortunately (to steal the words of Klavier Gavin) if you talk to someone in my generation about it, you'd be lucky to get a blank stare. So sad. :<

In addition to adventure games, I have also been increasingly interested in web comics. For some reason, I really have grown attached to them. To list a few that I've fallen in love with... "Modest Medusa", "Cucumber Quest", "Persona 4TW" and "Dubious Company". I just realized...all of those have 2 word titles...how oddly coincidental. XD

Also this summer, I re-discovered how addicted to video games I happen to be. I got bored one day and decided to count how many video games I have...over 150. Yes, between my brother and I, we have over 150 games. Of those, I probably own AT LEAST 75 of them. Soooooo maaaaaaaaany gaaaaaaaaaaaaames! Mayhaps I shall share them all with you one day? (I've done that once before, but I've gained many more games [and game systems] since then. XD)

So, if you read all this way through my babbling, congratulations! you have more patients than I do! 8D
I hope that all of you are having a great summer (if you're still on it like I am) or that school isn't killing you too much if you're back to it already.

And for the LULZ I'll ask you guys some questions! >:D
1. Have you found yourself addicted to anything recently? (I don't want to hear about your illegal activities now...)
2. How's school so far? Or if you're not back yet, what are you looking forward to the most?
3. Bacon, wrapped in bacon, cooked with bacon, sprinkled with bacon and served with a side order of bacon. Awesome or awesome?

Welp, that be it peoples! If you read all the way to HERE, wow...you are a very nice person and deserve a hug. *hugs you*

Kay, I'm off to go read that article for ISBA and pretend like I know what I'm doing...

Too-da-loo!
