Fair (HUNGER GAMES)
A/N: Uh yeah so its like 1:03 in the morning here and I finished the Hunger Games about a half hour ago. So here's just a quick fic I whiped up. I don't know who's POV it's from but the paper written in the begining is how I feel about the Hunger Games and how sick they are. But the book was effin amazing. So enjoy. And pardon my spelling and grammer.
You people all make me sick. How can you sit there every year and watch kids kill each other? They may not be your kids, they may not even matter to you but they still are kids! How can you all just let them die and not do a thing about it? How can you people bet on how long they’ll live? Bet on how many kills a kid will make? How can you continue to even have kids? You see what they do to them! You watch your kids die every year! There can only be one victor and as if we’ll ever have one again! And even if we do have a victor, so what? Twenty three families will have lost a child. Including one of our own families, right here. So to all you disgusting creatures who bet-and I can rightfully say how disgusting you are because I used to bet too-you deserve to watch these kids die. You deserve to go mad from it. As for the fools who still fall in love and have kids, you people are just heartless. There is no ‘love’ in this world anymore. Have the Hunger Games not proven that? How can you risk a child’s life because you were selfish enough to even have kids? You deserve to lose every one of your children. You deserve to watch your children die over and over during the Games. And may the odds be ever in your favor.
That paper was posted all over the town.
It was the last thing she ever wrote.
The morning after she posted this the Peacekeepers killed her.
They whipped her in public as she cried.
No tears for herself.
The entire time she screamed her son’s name.
The son who had almost had his heart eaten after being killed in the Hunger Games a year ago.
The son who had only been fourteen.
The son who had somehow escaped the bloodbath.
Only to be killed a week in.
She begged for our mercy for giving birth to him.
She begged to be forgiven for being selfish.
Then she stopped talking.
And she cried.
In the next moment the back of her neck was slashed and she lay on the stage that had been set up in the center of District 12 so everyone could finally see her die.
We watched the blood pool around her and thought how unfair it was that people like her.
People who could speak out against the Hunger Games.
People like her were killed for being right.
Really the ending this time
Chapter Twenty-???:
Edward’s POV
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH DAAAMMIT!!” I heard from the other room. I looked at my brother and he helped me out of the hospital bed. I walked quickly, dragging the IV with me. I pulled open the door to see her, sobbing in Lt. Hawkeye’s arms.
“Ari, what happened?” I asked her, now beside her bed. She turned to me, her eyes wide with shock.
Ari’s POV
I couldn’t believe my eyes. He was there. Next to me. How?! I reached for his face. I stroked his hair and touched his cheek. I could feel him. But… but… how?!
“You’re dead!” I whispered, genuinely afraid of this. How was he here? His face reflected the confusion I felt.
Edward’s POV
Me? Dead? What?! It must have been a dream from the sedatives they gave her because of her pain. That must have been it. But she really believes it happened.
“Ari, I’m here, I’m not dead. It was a dream.” I said as I took her hands, “I’m all right except for a few scratches and a headache.” I smiled at her as the realization took hold of her.
“Not dead?” she asked hopefully
“Not dead,” I replied, “Definitely alive.”
“Good you jackass, ‘cause I would have been pissed if you had died.” she grinned at me and I hugged her.
Nobody’s POV? The end, really
So the two teens stayed in the hospital until they were both healed. Ari took up a job in Roy Mustang’s office after she was released from the hospital. Edward and Alphonse continued to search for the stone. Ari worried about her boyfriend everyday but he sent letters back and that was all she could ask. On Ari’s 19th birthday Edward came back and proposed to her. Ari said yes and they were married in the spring. Edward and Alphonse had to leave again a few months after the wedding, much to their sadness. Ari found out she was pregnant with twins only three weeks after they left. They came back to find Ari huge and Edward vowed not to leave her side until the kids were born. When they were, Edward faced a difficult decision about his promise to Alphonse about getting his body back and staying with his wife. Ari told him to go fulfill his promise to his brother. Little did she know that was the last time she would see him. When Edward died, Alphonse came and lived with Arianna and his nephew and niece. Ari told Al everything about Edward. When Edward appeared again in Central and he and Alphonse moved to the other side of the gate, Arianna stowed herself and her kids away and came too. Now, she, Ed, and Al all live on the other side of the gate getting into all sorts of shenanigans.
(Enjoy! I hope you like it!)
I owe you an ending!
Arianna sat up quickly to find Riza Hawkeye and Roy Mustang standing on the right side of her bed. Ari stared into Hawkeye's red-rimmed amber eyes. Her own brown ones grew wide, dreading the answer to the question she was about to ask.
"Where is Edward?" Ari asked, her voice just above a whisper. Riza turned her gaze away from the girl. The woman placed her hand on the girl's shoulder and Roy took Ari's hand with his left.
"Arianna..." Riza started, but her voice was caught by a sob. Roy placed his arm around Riza's shuddering shoulders.
"Edward died trying to protect you. He hit his head on the pavement and went into a coma." Roy told her, his own voice full of sadness.
"B-but people come out of comas!" Ari said, pretending not to hear that her Edward was dead, "Isn't there something I can do?"
"No, Ari. The doctors said he was brain dead, there was no helping him. Alphonse told them to pull the plug," Roy said firmly.
"There must be something I can do!" Arianna said, hyperventalating
"There is nothing you can do, Arianna! He's gone!" Roy said, glaring at the girl and feeling pity for her at the same time.
"I can do something! He can't be gone, no, no, there must be something for me to do! Ed can't just die, he can't! He wouldn't leave me! DAMMIT EDWARD YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME!" Arianna screamed, reaching a manic point. Roy waved a nurse in.
"Sedate her please, she's taking the news badly." Roy said coldly.
"EDWAR-" she chocked as the drugs began taking affect, knocking her out almost instantly. Alphonse came in.
"Did you hear her?" Riza asked.
"I think most of the world heard her." Al replied.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wha-what happened," Ari asked, groggily. It was the middle of the night and a nurse was in her room.
"Oh hello there, I didn't know you'd be waking up." the nurse said, smiling, "You had a break down and they had to sedate you," Ari lay back in her pillow and sighed. 'Oh yeah... Edward... is dead,' she thought.
"What's going to happen now?" Ari asked.
"Only you know," the nurse said.
Dancing at discos, eating cheese on toast, yeah you make me merry, make me very very happy
Scar looked at the two alchemists with an unreadable expression on his face. Ed moved in front of Ari, glaring at Scar.
"Scar what the hell do you want?" He asked, slightly agressive.
"Fullmetal... I'm not here for you. I need her," He said and pointed at Ari. Ed moved into a defensive position, knowing he was too tired to really protect her well. Ari shrunk back into her own defensive position, knowing the same thing. They looked at each other and Ari began crying. Ed kissed her quickly and tried to smile.
"You aren't going to get her without going through me, Scar!" He shouted. Scar smirked.
"Ok, sounds good to me," He lunged at Ed with his hand charged to destroy. Ed blocked it with his arm and to his surprise the automail blew up.
"Shit" he muttered and kicked at Scar's feet, missing his left foot but hooking his foot around Scar's right foot. He pulled and Scar staggered, falling onto one knee. He grabbed Ed's foot and flipped him to the side, his head hitting the pavement with a crack. Ari stood in front of him, unprotected. Her eyes filled up with tears as he placed his hand on her head.
"I'll give you a moment to pray," He said to her. Her tears flowed freely and she started shaking.
There was a clicking noise behind Scar and a flash of red light and the back of Scar's shirt was on fire. Roy stood with a three troops and Riza. His eyes were hard and he had a frown on his face. Scar pushed Ari away and her head hit the pavement with a crack.
"Scar, it's time for you to be finished," Roy said, getting ready to blow fire at him again.
The next time Ari woke up she was in the hospital... but Edward was no where to be found.
(I like using sickening cracking noises lol what happened to edo? did he die?! dun dun dun... you'll neeeeeeeeever know! the story is wrapping up, by the way..... sorry jc!!!)
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST
"LETS GO PRACTICE IN THE DOJO!!!" Ari proclaimed the next day at lunch to Ed. She was still wearing the necklace he gave the the night before.
"The... dojo?" Ed asked, rubbing his eyes and taking another sip of coffee, "Uh, ok whatever, let's go to the dojo"
Ten minutes later Ari and Ed were walking hand in hand to the dojo in easterned Central City. Ari had an excited bounce in her step and Ed laughed in amusment.
"Excited?"
"Yeah, I haven't practiced fighting in ages." She stretched her arms over her head happily.
They got to the dojo quickley and took off their shoes. They started stretching in preperation to spar.
"I'll go easy on you." Ed said.
"I wont" Ari grinned, "START!" and she threw a punch at hit head. He blocked it and kicked her feet out from under her. She twisted her legs around his waist and pulled him onto the floor beside her. He rolled over her and pinned her down, grinning.
"AGAIN." she said, pushing him off.
They continued fighting for three hours when they were both ready to collapse. They began walking home in the dark (it was six at night and the sun had already set) when a figure walked out in front of them.
"Scar!" Ed gasped.
