Scar's Tattoo

Well, it's been a while isn't it?
But really, I guess I'm too busy doing other thing right now.
I mean, I got 3 projects to work on, and then the simple assignment and it might include the exams.
N ARGH! I'm so exhausted.

But really, even I'm tired, I never miss watching FMA:B.
N please don't tell me why. XP

OK, today I like to put some result of FMA fans research. But I got confuse myself so I stated all that I like instead of one.

The Latin words on Scar's arm are:
dopo la terra sic ca a ndan, colia

RESEARCH 1

The exact ordering of the words can be disputed.

Some animation and even some books incorrectly show the second word as "aa" rather than "la". Of the words, "colia" is probably the greek "Kolia" latinized and means "voice of god" (which may be a religious allusion to the Philosopher's Stone). The word "ndan" may or may not be the biblical Adam. The word "ca" is a Latin abbreviation of "Circa"

The phrase may not seem correct when translated into English because it was translated into Latin from Japanese.

RESEARCH 2

The meaning of each word
Terra: Land
A: and
Ndan: Reign
Colia: Sky

So, as a result, the meaning is Land and reign sky. N if u look even closer, Philosopher's Stone controls all with it's power and promise of power. So, its a perfect match!

But there r other meanings! They could also be Greek words like 'Terra'. 'Ndan' is the religious word for Adam from the garden in Greek and 'Colia' is The End.

RESEACH 3

The meaning is:
After the land of Adam, the voice of God.

(I must say is a short one, cuz I found it accidentally in a livejournal profile.

If based on my religion, 'the voice of God' is one of the procedures which the Day of Judgment/Destruction is going to happen. An the 'after the land of Adam' means the afterlife.

And if I relate it to Scar hands, it means that Scar's limb is the 'hand of destruction'. But really, it is just my opinion.

CONCLUSION

In research 1 and 2, mostly the meaning influence anime as the tattoo has a connection with Philosopher Stone. But, in manga, the Scar's hand don't have any connection with the Philosopher Stone. Hence, the research 3 is basically more into the manga.

And lastly, the word is not 100% Latin! >.<
