That storm was awful, wasn't it? We didn't lose power for too long, but the winds were terrifying. My mom called and told me to listen to WTOP, and when they started giving out tornado warnings, I was all, "Wait... where in the county are we located, anyway? South? West? Uh oh..." Major orz.
*huggles* I'm glad that you're okay. On our way to denver, we got caught in a big hail storm, so i stopped and let it pass. When we reached denver and called back home, I heard there were tornado warnings all over our county. Apparently last night was a good night for tornados. All in all, it was friggen humid so that's never any good. I'm glad that you and the puppies are safe. Poor ol' Cooper! At least everyone is safe and you were able to get something to eat. Talk to you more when I get home!
R-town! You were in my neck of the woods... This is the second account of apocalyptic storms at home that I've received... bleh. I'm glad you incurred no significant damage & everything's alright.
I've had quite a bit of rain here in AU... and my roof started to leak. Oh the joy. I guess I'll have to talk to my landlord about that...
Power outages are always fun. I tend to find a book and read by candle light or maybe play my DS. Only if I'm alone and won't embarrass myself will I pull out my ocarina and try playing something. I always think I should actually practice with it, since it's simple to play (it's not much more complex than Guitar Hero on hard, really), but I'm lazy.
I can't play any musical instrument. Tried the piano, but failed. I can only seem to keep one, maybe two, rhythms at a time, which makes playing anything aside from a computer keyboard hellish.
Haha, thanks, the account will be back in August. And I really don't know how to play the piano, but I know enough about music to slap together a melody. I can't do any kinda base line though, and I can't even get my left hand to do some kind of beat while my right hand runs around. Which is why to date I can only play clarinet and Rock Band.
Being the weather nerd that I am, I frequent the Weather Channel website. I saw there were going to be epic storms there. I'm glad everything's okay though. Plus you have extra win for being able to play the piano.

Seriously, I never appreciated how clusterfuck-scary the weather is over on the east coast until I joined this site.
Every year, I'm always afraid for you guys now . . . yeep. But, I guess you've survived this far, so hey.

Well, I went through storms like that last week, and this morning. While hellish they may be, I find them theraputic.
