Birthday Weekend in Review

Ladies and gentlemen, Peter Cetera.

Hello again everyone. I thought I should do a post to thank everyone who sent me their birthday wishes last Friday and during the past weekend. My actual birthday ended up going pretty well. For one thing, I got the present that I asked my dad for; an album by Peter Cetera called Solitude/Solitaire. One of the songs from that album was the video that I used for this post. This same album also has the theme song to one of my favorite movies, The Karate Kid Part II. Of course the whole album was incredibly good. I now want a few more Peter Cetera albums for my music collection.

The Saturday after my birthday ended up going pretty well too, though there were a couple of low points. I went on a shopping trip with my aunt, where we had lunch at a Red Robbin. I ordered this burger that had bleu cheese on it, which was something I hadn't tried before. I really wasn't expecting that dang cheese to be so spicy. I've never had much of a tolerance for spicy food. Fortunately the ranch dressing that I had with my fries seemed to cut the burn just a bit. I've never been crazy about dipping french fries in any sort of liquid topping, but in that case I was willing to make an exception. Anyway, the shopping trip itself ended up being something of a success. I bought a few packs of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and found a couple of cards to improve that Speedroid deck that I built last year.

I was also even able to use the last Saturday evening to finish the chapter of a fanfic that I had been working on. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any writing done on Sunday though. It was just one of those days where I just couldn't focus on anything. I was mainly distracted because I couldn't help but wonder about what was going to happen in the latest episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V. When I finally saw the episode later that night, the damn thing only raised more questions than answers. I'm sure some of you reading know what I'm talking about.

That's pretty much how my weekend went. Thanks again to everyone here on TheO.
