Nostalgia Trip

Ladies and gentlemen, Weird Al Yankovic.

Hello again all. I just wanted to take a few minutes to share my current good mood in a post. I spent a good chunk of this afternoon watching Digimon Tamers on Crunchyroll. I actually watched the first four episodes late last night and watched six episodes today. Just forty-one episodes left to go. What really surprised me is that Crunchyroll had the dub of Tamers instead of a subbed version. It wasn't a big deal though, since the dub is pretty well performed. The music for the dub sucks, but most of the voice acting is good. Plus watching the dub only adds to the nostalgia factor. Of course there was a part of me that was interested in seeing what the original Japanese version was like, but you get what you get.

In any case, watching those old episodes of Tamers again after all these years really took me back to high school. I can still remember a couple of conversations this friend of mine would have about Tamers that following morning on the bus. He and I were really into Digimon for a while. Then we were both really into Yu-Gi-Oh!, of course he was a little more fanatical about Yu-Gi-Oh! than I was. Yeah, those were some good times. It's a little hard to believe that almost sixteen years have gone by since those days.

Well, my mind may be in a good mood at the moment, but my body doesn't seem to be. While going out to get the mail, I slipped on a huge patch of ice and had a pretty nasty spill. I seem to be in one piece, more or less. My left wrist hurts a bit, and chances are I'll have a huge bruise on my rear end. It'll probably be like that one bruise I got on the back of my leg after I slipped five or six while walking down the stairs. Sorry if some of that just now was TMI. I think that pretty much does it for this post. Hope everyone else is having a good day too.
