Distracting Creativity

Ladies and gentlemen, Paul Gross.

The above song is from an old Canadian T.V. show from the 1990s called Due South. It's a quirky little series that my dad and I have been re-watching for the past month. The guy who did the song is also the guy who starred in the show. Anyway, I'm partly doing this post to ask for some help. Has anyone here on TheO ever had an idea for a wallpaper or a fanfic or some other creative endeavor that they just can't get out of their head? Like you're trying to work on something else and your mind just keeps drifting back to that idea? Well that's been happening to me all day.

I've recently had this new idea for a fanfic, and all day today it's been kind of keeping me from doing other things (except mess with iTunes, apparently). I had planned to get a little bit of work done on this other fan fiction story I've had going since late last year, but I just couldn't get to work on it. My brain was fixated on this new idea I've had. So I'd really like to know if this sort of thing has happened to anyone I might know on this site, and if so if they were able to do anything about it. Of course in the end I guess this is a trait that some creative people just have. They get an idea of some kind or a story or whatever and they just get a bit obsessed with getting it done.

Anyway, it's getting a tad late, so I think I'll sign off now. Until next time.
