Hi again everyone. Earlier this evening I read this interesting little article from the Anime News Network on the Gundam Franchise. Basically it was kind of a handy little guide to the franchise for those not that familiar with it. For those interested in giving the article a look, go ahead and click the link below.
As someone who's not a major expert on the Gundam franchise, I found this article to be pretty informative. Of course I don't exactly agree with every assessment on each series in the massive franchise. For instance the article had very high praise for the original Gundam series, I do not care for it all that much. I watched the first ten or fifteen episodes of the original series and I just could not get into it. I think part of it was because it just kind of seemed a little too dated for my taste. Inversely, the article didn't seem to think much of Gundam SEED, which is the only Gundam series I really like. Though I will admit that Gundam SEED Destiny needed an actual ending.
Like it said at the end of the article, in the end it's all a matter of personal taste. One part of the article that I do agree with though was that Gundam 00 was not all that good. And that was actually the first Gundam series I had actually watched. I mean it started out okay, but in the end it was just kind of lame.
Anyway, just thought I'd share that since I had a little time to kill. Comments of any kind are welcome.
