Today's Ups and Downs

Ladies and gentlemen, the fourth ending them of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Speaking.

Hello again, everyone. Just thought I'd do another little post to let everyone know how I've been doing. Today has been one of those days that's kind of in between good and bad. It's had its high points and its low points. I think that I should warn everyone right now that part of this post is probably going to get a little bit personal. I'll be sure to warn everyone when it gets to that point. There will probably be a little divider or something I'll use as a cue. But I assure everyone that this won't be a real heavy downer of a post.

Well to start with, my dad and I seem to be having some problems with our Internet connection again. Our modem is doing this thing again where it has these little "seizures" and one of the little lights on it starts blinking and our connection just stops cold for a couple minutes at a time. This is actually an old problem that my dad and I have been having, and we still have no clue what causes it. And of course when we try calling our service provider to report it, they say there's nothing they can do because it's working perfectly again whenever we call them about it. It's a little bit like that old episode of the Twilight Zone with William Shatner on the plane. The minute he tells someone there's a gremlin on the wing tearing out parts of the engine, the gremlin jumps away when someone else looks out the window and the wing seems to look fine. Of course the thing about this Internet connection problem is that this is the first time this particular problem has happened since I believe March or April, which kind of makes me wonder if this problem is somehow seasonal.

Anyway, today did have a lot of promise in the beginning. My aunt and I were going to go see that movie, The Martian since we both had the day off. Unfortunately, my aunt's hip ended up bothering her due to her foolishly trying to move back some of the furniture she moved out of the way for the guys she hired to clean the carpet the other day, by herself. So naturally, she was in no condition to sit in a movie theater seat for two and a half hours. We still went out of town today though to have lunch. On the way to the restaurant, we swung by a Barnes & Noble so I could get the latest volume of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's manga. I'll say it again, the 5D's manga is not as good as the original anime, though there are some things that I like about it. While I was at Barnes & Noble, I also got a few more packs of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards from the Crossed Souls booster set, but more on that in a bit.

So after Barnes & Noble, my aunt and I went out to lunch. We ended up eating at this place called The Cheesecake Factory, which I think is probably a local joint. At least I'm pretty sure it's not a chain. They had some good food there, but the place was really noisy and the menu was at least twenty pages long. After we finished lunch, my aunt generously took me to get some new shoes, and here's the part where things get a little bit personal. Since I'm now four paragraphs and a Youtube video into this post, I'm going to just go ahead and do this next part on a new page. Those of you who don't wish to read this next section can just skip to page three.
