More Writing Advice Please?

Hello again everyone. This is a post aimed at all the fan fiction writers here on TheO. I find myself once again needing a little advice regarding this one project of mine. The project in question is an ongoing series of crossover stories between the original Yu-Gi-Oh! and Sword Art Online. Lately I've been looking back on this project and have kind of been seeing it as a failure. It could be that my judgment is being colored by this one negative but fair review that the first story in the series got a couple of months ago. This person said that there were some good things about the story but thought that it was a failure for the most part. But the big thing about it is that the stories in this series never really got the response that I had hoped it would get. I mean the response the series has gotten has been mostly positive, but it never really became the big hit that I had hoped it would become.

So the idea of just putting this project on permanent hiatus has crossed my mind, but right now I'm wondering if maybe the better move would be to just do the whole series over from scratch. What I'm trying to figure out at the moment is if I do decide to go with the latter option, what would be the best way to proceed? Should I just delete the original stories and put up the new versions when they're ready to go? Or should I just leave the original stories up even if I do decide to go ahead with a new version? I'm not going to decide anything about this right away, but any advice I could get on this would be helpful.

Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this.
